We were very happy with our room and the facilities. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed, such as a flat screen tv, great shower and tea-making facilities. The breakfast was really excellent and of high quality, served in a nice big room overlooking the area. There were also interesting posters on display about the early telegraph cables from Ireland to Canada, as well as a model of the ship which carried the first cable. The location of the house is also convenient as it is close to the village. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and we would definitely stay with them again if we are back in Watervillie. There was nothing we did not like about The Old Cable Historic House & Seafood Restaurant and we no complaints about our stay.

The hostess was very welcoming. The bedroom particulary pleasant and very clean. Very beautiful restoration. The area very quiet and restfull. Proximity of the sea and the village. I will recommand this house to my friends and relatives without hesitation. The breakfast : amazing ! Très bon accueil. La chambre très propre et la salle de bain très confortable. Je peux recommander cette maison sans hésitation. Le petit dejeuner un vrai régal. Que du bonheur!

Hosts Mr & Mrs Brown very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Went out of their way to ensure our stay was wonderful, despite inclement weather - not something they could do anything about but they made some great suggestions for things to do. Menu in bedrooms.

The owner and family could not do enough. From helpful tips and advice, stories, an after hours meal for a late arrival, to helping with car repairs. This establishment is a real treasure. I cannot praise it highly enough. I wish there were more like it. A truly enjoyable and unique experience. All perfect.
