Very friendly staff, thank you
The food very good staff excellent.
Luke warm shower
The breakfast was very nice with a variety of choice, the staff were really friendly, bed was very comfortable.
The room was on the small size but bathroom size was big so this is only a small negative.
It was comfortable
Friendly and helpful staff
Food not great but edible
Breakfast was great. Great location to walk around too.beautiful view too.
The location was perfect, the price was outstanding, but most importantly the staff were SO friendly. One woman in particular, a bit older, was so sweet and so concerned for my friend and I as far as where we had parked our car, making sure we had everything we needed, etc. She was amazing. (She worked the night of Saint Patrick's day 2015, she deserves a raise!!)
nice breakfast service fast and friendly
room on front of hotel very very noisy . limited car parking .wife thought the room was small. extra charge for cereal
The pier hotel is ideally located in the heart of Limerick, with a short walk to most restaurants, pubs, and local attractions. The room was small, but clean. If you can get a deal on a room, and you aren't too picky about comfort or amenities, Pier hotel may meet your needs.
We stayed here for one night in March, 2015. The wifi didn't work in the rooms, you could only access it from the lobby. You could literally feel the springs in the bed (about time to replace those mattresses!). We were also able to hear the group birthday party going on in the restaurant from our room on the 3rd floor, which must have been pretty bad for folks on the 2nd floor. The parking under the hotel was very limited with very tight spaces (you may have to crawl over the passenger seat to get out).
Excellent staff in all areas
The location is excellent, near main shopping avenues and amenities. We were allowed to leave our car in the hotel's car park after check-out, so that we could keep bringing our shopping bags in!
During our stay, the Wi-Fi never worked on the 3rd floor where both our rooms were located. We all needed to work in the evening, so that was a huge issue for us (the receptionist tried to help but who's really gonna squat in the corridors of a different floor to use the wi-fi?) No vegetarian options other than cereals and toast at breakfast. In fact, even the full Irish breakfast didn't include mushroom and tomatoes!
Central to city
- easy check-in - I just showed my booking confirmation and got the keys - the room and bath were very clean and with direct view to the King Johns Castle - great location directly on the Shannon river - and just a 10minutes walk to the castle or the bus/train station
- breakfast was very good, but it was a set menu - you can choose between 3 different meals and that's it - for any extras or seconds you would have to pay for
Location was good. Close to shops and restaurants. Parking onsite was handy.
From the pictures and descriptions, of what we thought we were booking, it didn't meet up. It wasn't horrible, but it was basic, not a lot of sound proofing, very dated and even the TV had no consistent reception.
Location is near to central train station.
The location is fantastic and the staff were accommodating. The breakfast is smashing and is served between 7.30am and noon so there's an opportunity to sleep in the next day.
The parking facilities are hairy enough but I managed to get a space.
I liked everything about the hotel especially the staff
Not 1 complaint
+ free parking + close to city centre + tasty irish breakfast
We had a room located on the street side, it was very noisy and small. Facilites a bit old
Our room was tiny. The bar was below us and the music and noise from there went on until 1.30am. Very annoying as we couldn't sleep. Asked to move rooms but weren't facilitated. No follow up on this either next day.
Great ubication, great service, abig room... Butthe best of it its price!
convenient to city centre
small car park and difficult to man age
Free parking with the location we wanted at an affordable price
1st room smelled of smoke, but staff did not hesitate to find us an acceptable room.
The hotel was in a great location, close to all the shops and bars. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
The room faced the main road so it was a little noisy. The parking is also very tight and we had to park in the last spot which was overflowing with rubbish.
