It is a good hotel in a very good location at the centre of Athlone. The room was cmfortable and the breakfast was good. The price was reasonable. I was late arriving at the hotel because of a business delay and didn't check in until 9.35 pm. I asked at reception if there would be any chance of getting a quick sandwich to eat. The Lady informed me that I would get served in the bar but no hot food was available as the Kitchen closed at 9.30pm. When I asked at the bar I was informed that I could not get a sandwich as the kitchen was closed. I went back to the room where the room service menu stated that a light service was on offer from 9.00pm to 2.00am. I phoned the kitchen asking for a sandwich, I was told that the kitchen was closed and no room sevice was available. Room service should not be advertised in the room as it was not available. The staff in the hotel were very unhelpful. |

Do not feel that check in time of 4pm is acceptable when the majority of other hotels have a check in time of 2pm, which ment we had to wait around for hours having been traveling since 4:30am. One of the rooms was not ready until after 4pm. |

The loaction of the hotel to the train station The attitude of the front line staff (receptionists) We arrived early and promptly advised that we could not book in till 4pm, considering we strangers to the area we were not directed to the facilities in the hotel I.e bar restaurant and when three of the rooms were ready a colleague had to wait til 4.15pm for her room. When I was shown my room I had to requset another room as the previous occupant had eeb smoking. We all agree that we will book at the Raddison Hotel next time |

only a brief stay, but all was as it should be ! Always love to see a DVD player in room might not always get to use it but option is nice when booking only option was no smoking room & because it was a short stay i did'nt mind, but imagine my delight on finding an ashtray (another nice option) but the non smokers might not be as pleased |

The location; the parking; the welcome; the room and the facilities, complete with complementary WiFi. Excellent. The only fault I had was that the restaurant was closed and so only food from the bar menu was avaialble, which was Ok but nothing special |

Ease of booking and car parking at the hotel. City location and walking to restaurants etc Some staff not inclined to engage with one until asked. Then they were fine. |

It was an amazing deal and we ticked the option of breakfast in bed. The meal arrived very punctually and the food was very fresh. I'd asked for poached eggs which were perfectly cooked and piping hot. A very nicely decorated and centrally located hotel with a lively bar in the evening. The room did not smell fresh when we entered it. We opened the window and flush the loo and it dissipated and the room was very clean otherwise. |

The bar food was very good-the fillet steak I had was delicious! The bed in the room was also very comfortable. My mum-who stayed with me- would have preferred a bath/shower combo than the power shower facility in the guest rooms |

Helpful staff. Very good value. Will have no trouble recommendin a stay there to friends or relations. Slow bar service - food and drink (want to stress that this is not a complaint) |

This hotel was conveniently placed between Galway and Dublin. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was very good. There was a reasonable choice of restaurants nearby. Tea making facilities in the room. It would be nice if they had a directional sign opposite the turn into their car park/reception as it is easy to miss. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very average. |

I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I also found the room to be spacious and comfortable. The decor was also modern and pleasing. I felt the towels were not in keeping with the luxury of the room. Also the shower door did not fit well! The shower itself was very strong and warm. |

The dvd player in the bedroom was a good idea. The shower was excellent.Good breakfast...well presented. Only that I wasn't told that I needed a code to get out of the car park in the morning and when I asked a I security man { ? } I found him quite rude. |
