i had no kettle in my room and the tea room closed at 10 p.m
The lodge is ideal for us as it's close to the harbour and all amenities... we've stayed twice now and would have no problem booking again.
I didn't really like that we couldn't check in until 4, but this is a minor thing.
Nice sized room, with a comfortable bed, being close to the harbour is useful if you are heading abroad on the ferry. Beaches are only a few minutes away.
Lack of wifi in the room Not many plug sockets in the room
Everything the young lad at tge reception was so helpful
No bar lol
The owner was welcoming, the hotel homely, accommodation clean and comfortable
The location was perfect for catching a ferry early the next morning, and walking to a pub for an evening meal.
I understand the problem involved in providing tea and coffee facilities in the room, but I would have liked tea in bed before going to the ferry port.
No cooked breakfast available
helpfulness of the staff, very welcoming, everything you could wish for was on hand to make it a comfortable stay.
Everthing value, receptionist, near to ferry, free coffee
+ Close to port + tea and coffee room (should have brough my cerals as could have eat them in the comunal room) + near by pub was fine for food + we had a family room 2 double beds which was fine.
The location was perfect for catching the early morning ferry and price was reasonable. Room was clean but very basic
The bed could do with a few extra pillows; would make all the difference for a comfortable nights sleep. No breakfast
Liked everything. Large very clean fresh smelling room .Nice bathroom. Very quiet area. Friendly welcoming staff. Enjoyed having free coffee in the TV lounge better, than having tea making facilities in your room.
There was nothing to dislike. Everything was as described on the web site.
The fact it was close to the ferry port and it was clean
No coffee or tea in the room
Basic but clean, comfortable and friendly
The proximity to Ferry Terminal The Price The accommodation The welcome reception
Plastic edging to mattress protector rustled
The Alarm went off unnecessarily for few minutes.
Cheap and cheerful and very clean and quiet, excellent value for money
Need tea and coffee in the rooms, and if not, make it available earlier than 78.30 am!
Location is great, room was clean & manager was nice.
Didn't have hot water on two mornings (although the manager was very apologetic). And our room wasn't made up on any of the three days so for example we ran out of toilet paper at 11pm at night.
As a mature couple it suited our needs as we just wanted a quiet few days away and that's what we got. The room was warm and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean also. We could come and go without anybody bothering us. As stated above it suited our needs perfectly. It fitted the price range.
Perhaps you would consider putting a small kettle and cups etc in each room so people could have a cup of tea on arrival instead of going up and down to the seating area. It would make the hotel a little more comfortable. Some extra detail to decor would make the hotel a little more welcoming. Again some curtains in seating area and some house plants left around the hotel. I feel you could do so much with your hotel for very little and even if you were to charge and extra five euro. Perhaps also you would think of opening a restaurant even if you it means charging extra. Normally people don't want to leave if they have booked in for the night. Huge potential for your hotel if properly thought out.
Very friendly & helpful owner, convenient location.
Room was cold, but heater did eventually come on when timer cut in (would have been nice to have more control over when it comes on, but I appreciate that power isn't cheap, and the room prices are very reasonable)
The position, the welcome, the price, the upgrade, the helpful staff, the pub recommendation !
Welcoming and informative receptionist. Excellent location, quiet surroundings and comfortable room. Free tea and coffee.
Tea and coffee not in bedrooms. And Wi-fi only available in communal areas. (both very minor niggles, really.)
Friendly and helpful lad who was on duty. Convenience to the port for departure.
Small things were the rusty pole for shower curtain and missing hooks from curtains in bedroom.
