Excellent customer service throughout hotel. Couldn't fault it.
Central location and the friendly and helpful staff
The staff were friendly and efficient
The pillows on the bed
I was very impressed with all the staff. They were all very down to earth and friendly and I felt it was very natural. I was greeted with a smile by most of the staff. I can't fault any of the staff. Our room was very comfortable and we all slept very well. Food was excellent and I must say the breakfast is one if the best I have ever had. The selection of food is wonderful, good quality, all fruit very fresh. Meat and eggs have a good taste. Selection on the menu was excellent. Definitely would go back for the breakfast.
Children should not be charged a full breakfast price but I must add that I said it to the staff and they didn't charge us.
The attention to you is very nice. Nice lemon drink on arrival. Very comfortable
Access by car to hotel is bad
Fantastic location. Excellent décor and comfort. Good breakfast. And included in rate.
Could not find instructions to get onto internet/wifi in room. Suspect it was charged for which should not be the case.
Liked everything about the hotel.
From the moment we pulled up at the door to the moment we drove away, this hotel does not disappoint. The staff can not do enough to help and the atmosphere in the hotel is fantastic. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
I brought my partner here for her birthday and we absolutely loved every minute of our stay!! The staff were fantastic! We can't wait to return.
Older heritage part of hotel can have noisy floorboards
The Ambience, friendliness of the staff, classic and classy surroundings, central location.
The purpose of my stay was a surprise birthday present for my wife. This hotel was the right choice for us as it lived up to our expectations in all respects. When we checking in, the Hotel provided an upgraded room at no extra cost. We were very impressed with their professionalism which ensured as guests we had a very welcome and enjoyable stay. We cant wait for our next visit.
Loved the location and atmosphere.
Room quite small.
staff nice at reception, it's definitely an old school uptown hotel and you can feel that in how they interact with you. Room was lovely, quiet, free wi-fi which is always a nice touch and with more expensive hotels rarely something they offer, guess they figure if you're paying that much for a room you'll pay 10bucks for average wifi. Always bothers me, so as i said nice to see not the case here. Breakfast was really good, staff at that were on it and super polite. They also have an amazing gingerbread town in the lobby, really nice to kick start you into the Christmas spirit.
it's Christmas, i get its' a busy hotel, but the lobby was rammed, people everywhere, difficult to get through them, not even that easy to find the reception desk. It'd be nice if they afforded people staying there more space, there was a residents bar but it was packed and small relative to the other bars. Also had a weird interaction with a bar man who's name i won't mention as that would be unfair, but he essentially brought us our drinks and as soon as they were on the table he told us that they were terrible choices, that the rum in one was poor quality rum, that we should have ordered something different. It ruined the drinks for us, we didn't drink em in the end cause it bothered us, and when i said maybe he should take em back and bring us something that was good he just kind of laughed and wandered back out. Not cool, never experienced that before, and i spend most of my life in hotels. Also the dude on the residents room was kind of snooty, again i get it's an uptown spot and quite traditional and we look more Brooklyn than the upper west side, but still no need to be dismissive.
Location, and general welcome by the staff. My Mum who is 82 wanted to stay as she was very impressed by the recent TV series about the hotel. Mum was very happy with her stay. In her view it was worth it, and that was what mattered.
Expensive, but I knew when I booked that it wasn't a budget hotel. A very busy city hotel, so if it peace and quiet you are after not the hotel for this purpose.
The poor service and total lack of communication between staff and departments
Such a beautiful hotel both inside & out. Couldn't fault it in any way.
Really liked refurbished room. Pillows were so comfy. Liked all the little extras that were provided. The ambiance of the whole place was great
I didn't enjoy breakfast. Coffee had no flavour. I thought for a hotel of this standard that the hot breakfast should have been served at table.. Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
Friendly helpful service .Interaction with Irish staff who engaged well and non Irish very professional
Cold tea and coffee on Sat am for breakfast. Limited relaxing seating in hotel once meal finished.ie no where to go .
Had not expected breakfast to be included so was surprised at check in when receptionist told us it was. This turned out not to be true but the receptionist at the front desk the following morning used his initiative to handle the misunderstanding in a way that did not leave us disappointed or embarrassed
That a mistake such as this was made in the first place
The stay was part of a special birthday celebration. The hotel upgraded us to the Princess Grace Suite... Awesome!!
We had to leave!!
The personal touch!!!
Very expensive for what you get !!
The best hotel I have stayed in. Superb
Excellent hotel in a very good location. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the food was excellent - try the supper ( very good quality and excellent value).
