Attention to detail from all members of staff we met. Cleanliness of the entire hotel. Room size was excellent as well as the well appointed bathroom. Breakfast choices very good and all tasted beautiful. Will be back.
loved everything ...its a fantastic hotel...
Swimming pool is great. Great buffet and a la carte breakfast. Super location and wonderful atmosphere.
Staff are excellent at their job and cater for your every need, especially Sarah who checked us in on arrival. Sarah typified the friendly, professional and efficient service provided. The quality of the hotel is superb.

Central Location Plush surroundings Lovely friendly staff Big high comfy bed Lovely restaurant for breakfast
Porridge was disgusting
Location...it's an iconic hotel and booked it as a treat for my wifes birthday...we can mark it off the bucket list!!
One of the bottles of water in the room (sparkling) had been opened(seal broken)with some missing....a small gripe and probably just an oversight which we didn't bring to the hotels attention.
Friendly staff, nice comfortable surroundings, super breakfast
The main bar 27. Great atmosphere & lovely place to sit. Rooms very good. Saddle Room excellent place to sit as well.
Not being able to sit in the saddle room due to the Afternoon Tea closure. Its another class room but very frustrating that the bar is the only area for residents to lounge for the whole of the afternoon. A premium hotel which the Shelbourne undoubtedly is should have more lounge capacity. Even when there is a bit of waiting around on Cars coming back from the car park there is nowhere to take a seat. Guests just have to stand around the front door beside their luggage. The bar area isn't even open until 12pm for people to wait in. It takes away form the luxury of the place. The receptionist on arrival could have had a bit more energy. She didn't convey 5 star in her welcome.
As this was a present for my parent I could not pay over the phone I found this extremely annoying as from working in a hotel background I know this is possible to do! Therefore my parents had to take my card which they did except as it was a debit card so my father had to pay with his Amex
The room was really nice & bed was so comfortable.
The breakfast was just ok. We were seated in the lounge & the selection was quite poor.
Good location. Great breakfast options.
Breakfast was very poor, dry food left too long on the hotplate
From the moment we arrived the level of service was amazing. A very polite & professional girl called Bevin checked us in and I couldn't rate her enough, a credit to the hotel.
The fact that at breakfast you're not sitting on top of the people at the next table. The ambience is divine.
The selection of offer at breakfast could have been better.
The location was great. Beds and bedding very comfortable-which is why you stay in a hotel to get a good nights sleep. Other hotels could learn lessons here. Breakfast was good quality, even if the porridge was cold but this was sorted out once we brought it to their attention.
Could have been in any hotel room anywhere really. The room was nothing special for the price we paid. We didnt come across any Irish staff which I think is a pity. Had coffee and scones when we arrived-while the service and coffee was excellent the scones were a big let down.
I stayed one night with my elderly mother on 5 Jan 15 as part of her Christmas present. Everything was perfect. The staff made our stay very special. We were given a beautiful spacious bright room and the afternoon tea in the Lord Mayor's lounge was superb. I are very thankful to all the staff for making my mother's stay so memorable.
Fabulous experience to stay in the top hotel in your own city - definitely a must do for all. Would highly recommend it for that special treat or celebration.
Disappointed with breakfast expected More
We had afternoon tea which was very nice. Service was excellent. Hotel was so central and perfect for walking to some great bars. When u checked in I was given an upgrade which was a very impressive room. Staff were all excellent.
Not complaining just observation really. Pool was very cold. Had to que for breakfast which was fine they took our name and gave us orange juice and we say in another room but by the time we got to the buffet it was cold and not very nice. I did tell the waiter and he did give me a hot meal.
