The Smuggler’s Inn overlooks the sandy beach at Ballinskelligs Bay. Most rooms have sea views and the hotel has a gourmet restaurant, free Wi-Fi in public areas and free parking. Rooms at The Smuggler’s Inn feature private bathrooms, TVs and hairdryers. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. The Smuggler’s Inn Restaurant specialises in seafood delicacies and has a tank with live lobsters and crayfish. The bar has a bar menu and there is a garden for dining al fresco. The Inn is a 10-minute walk to Waterville and the famous Waterville Golf Links. Waterville’s Lough Curran offers excellent salmon and trout fishing. Friendly staff, excellent food, great location. The brochure states Wi-fi in all rooms. Room 5 had nothing, which was the only criticism we had .

It is set in a fantastic location..so far from anywhere....the amazing inny strand...about 2 miles long is just beside...and while the room was clean and roomy...it is their gourmet restaurant that is so special....plus the owner and staff were so nice....sean :) No negatives at all.....though I felt sorry for the lobsters in the tank awaiting their fate!!!!

Excellent views over the ocean. We had a very good diner in the restaurant. Food is excellent. All staff is very friendly. Please inform beforehand if a party is held during your stay. We suffered loud music up to 01.00 hrs at night.

Four words sum up this hotel : location, location, location, and food. Situated on it's own sandy beach, with the Ring of Kerry mountains all around. Evening meals were of gourmet standard, with excellent flavour combinations using local seafood and produce. Extensive international wine list. ( We note other reviewers had some issues - perhaps there's a new chef.) The wi-fi worked for us in room no 5. Staff were attentive, bright and cheery. Extensive breakfast menu, each dish prepared to order. OK, the room is just a room but the view from the window forgives any shortcomings. Would definitely recommend this to friends.

when we arrived the hotel was very busy with confirmation guests but we were very well looked after by the friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. the food was excellent despite the kitchen being very busy all evening. Great evening

This was our third time.Love it. On this occasion the barman was also the waiter in the restaurant.It was difficult to get a drink,but it was early in the season and the restaurant was busy while the bar was very quiet

L'accueil est très sympa. Leur "seafood platter" est carrément royal, et il se déguste dans la salle à manger avec une vue imprenable sur l'océan ce qui ne gâche rien au contraire ! La chambre avec veranda donnant directement sur la plage est asbolument sublime !!

Wir kamen bei Nebel, Sturm und Regen Abends im Smugglers Inn an. Die Atmosphäre war einmalig. Sehr romantisch. Direkt am Wasser, etwas abgelegen nahe Waterville ist das Smugglers Inn ein rustikales Goldstück. Über die Wintermonate geschlossen.

Très confortable. Personnel très symphatique. Très bien situé. Notre chambre étant située à l'aplomb des cuisines, nous avons subi les bruits des gamelles et de la ventilation tard le soir.
