For a budget stay, it doesn't get better. Couldn't fault the staff or the location, ideal for our stay and we wouldn't have gone anywhere else.
Expect noise and lumpy beds, but it's a city hostel not a luxury hotel! And after a Guinness or two makes no difference anyway.
Staff Location Price
Noise outside all night long TV not working at all (to be fair it is not the most important thing but still...) double bed with stained dirty mattress
Comfortable beds And excellent location
It is most conveniently located although it took a bit of finding as its sign was not prominent.
Dorm was warm enough but the private double I stayed two nights in was really cold. The double bed was actually two single placed together so it was not comfortable. Breakfast does not start on time at 7am so twice I went without the full provision although I paid the total costs. Despite request, room assigned was by the staircase so it was noisy. 2 remotes for TV but none controlled the set in the room.
Everything was perfect. Location is perfect (in the city center), staff extremely gentle and friendly, room were clean and very comfortable
There was some road construction near the hostel which was sooo noisy at the night...!!!
Location and staff
Great location, lovely staff
Bathroom smelt like sewerage, bed had springs which felt exposed hence terrible sleep
Central to everything. Most accessible.
Construction that was going on just outside. No remote for TV. Most cold as radiator not on. Breakfast did not start on time.
Everything do not go there you have been warned
Location excellent and friendly staff made this a good short stay
Roadworks noisy outside hostel and floor grubby No towels offered on arrival
Too much to climb lift to be installed.
perfect location, closed to Trinity College and bus stop to airport, very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, especially the kitchen, good place for everyone to chat and play
there is no wifi in the room
Location, staff, shower, warm water
Road construction, narrow corridors
Nothing special, decent. Had a cool common area/kitchen
Construction all night long kept me up everyday, wifi only in common areas
Always fully during friday.
Clean. Central. Comfortable. Quiet, despite being over a pub I did not hear any noise.
Slightly dodgy wiring/sockets.
Friendly staff Central location near Trinity and Temple Bar Relaxed happy vibe
Traffic Street noise
Meeting new people.
Having to be quiet around others who shared the room and slept during the day
Very friendly personnel. Leahn was very helpful and kind. The room was quite large for hostel and it was clean.
I'm not a very chatty person. I think the place is more for young men who like coomunicating with different young men.
Great location. It's right by Trinity College and a few blocks away from where all of the coaches pickup/drop off. It's also next to a pub! Great staff, who are friendly and helpful. They helped me book an airport shuttle for the early hours of the morning.
The beds were a bit old, and were not the most comfortable hostel beds I've experienced. I could feel the springs in them. My room was on the street side of the building, so you hear the people partying on the street and at the pub next door. If you care about this, you may want to ask for a different side of the building or bring ear plugs. The bathroom needed a bit of a cleaning. The room was small, but I expected that. It's enough space to move around if most people have their bags in the lockers under the beds.
Small and uncomfortable
We liked the location, it is really in the heart of the city. Just a few steps to the pubs and shops.
It was really noisy, you can't sleep with open window, and the matresses are horrible.
Location brilliant and staff very helpful and friendly.
The hostel is located right next to Trinity college, which is very practical - lots of shops, pubs and museums are accessible on foot. My room was located near the common rooms so I had sometimes WiFi from my bed. Hot water was really hot, which I highly enjoyed.
However, it is also located on a very busy road, with cars and buses constantly driving by, so the rooms are very noisy. Not to mention that there is a bar right next door. Again, not helping with the sleeping. The curtains also did not close properly at all, which is quite annoying for the bathroom. They didn't have adapters/plugs for European chargers. The floors, bathrooms and kitchen were quite dirty.
