old room, not very clean, very noisy because of the close lift, bed lamp broken, safe not working, told the reception: in 4 nights were never fixed
Great location, very comfortable room, friendly staff. Fantastic stay!
Unlike many hotel corridors this was a pleasure to walk along. The room was very attractive - well "appointed", good state of decor. Almost perfect. Nice Juliette balconies. Breakfast OK.
One door on the balcony wouldn't shut properly - rattled during night. Either because or otherwise, until about midnight room very noisy - parties or other revelling. At about 4am I got an un-asked-for alarm call. My complaint (in the morning) was dismissed by the receptionist as she "only started at 7am" (not that anyone could have done anything) Awful night's sleep overall
I keep coming back to Townhouse - It is really a great place.
wi fi staff excellent warm welcome
fan noisy in bathroom lack of coat hangers for trousers
food, staff, location, all great, comfort, bed all great.
price, a bit steep, my friend stayed somewhere else in Dublin same time for less and he had a swimming pool and sauna. for less, local cabbie couldnt believe what I paid. I stayed in same street since mid eighties, it was Ten punts a night then
The hotel was in a great location with easy access to most everything. The staff are absolutely the best and helped make our stay in Dublin wonderful They are helpful and friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. Easy luggage storage upon check out because our flight wasn't until the evening..
Our room was super small! It was a triple so they are generally going to cram an extra bed in a normal size room so I have come to expect cramped when travelling with three people, but this room was even smaller than normal. It was also on the ally so was noisy in the morning and at night.
All basic facilities were well prepared and catered for. Room was clean and well maintained. Bathroom was fully functional.
Bathroom a little claustrophobic no room for toiletries. WiFi mediocre. TV limited channels
everything cant say a bad thing all staff is great, room, parking, location and price are just right.
Very clean, nice staff and excellent location
You can hear all what your neighbor is doing
Walking distance to centre, good location and transport links
Great location, great value b&b. Have stayed here many times.
The only gripes I have is that the the room was very hot, but it was too noisy to keep the window open, so I didn't sleep too well, but that was just the room's location and not a reflection on the whole bed and breakfast. It would have been nice to offer a better cooked breakfast option for vegetarians too.
A very nice place to stay for a couple of nights! Excellent value for money and super friendly staff! really appreciated the full Irish breakfast in the morning:)
Very good breakfast (full Irish) at the reasonable price. Friendly and responsive staff. Service level was comparable to five-stars hotels. There is a small garden where you can sit even with cup of coffee. Excellent value for money.
Old-fasion tap where you have to keep it pushed to have water. But it could be discovered as a style. Definitely not a problem.
location staff general amenities such as common room with free wifi
room too small ( sleeping area tiny and cramped and bathroom huge and spacious Room was facing early morning and late night loading area and room too hot but if opened window noise from loading area unbearable
Good location and transfer to airport option. Fair price. Good breakfast. I have stayed here many times it is a good option.
Neighborhood sometimes dicey. Floors have always creaked too much. Not handicap eaay so if you've got stair issues it could be a problem. Noisey exterior from traffic and trucks. Internet is spotty and not the fastest uplink speed.
small facts like the water kettle the w-lan and the comfortable floor. Furthermore i realy like the staff at the reception.
the gape between the double bed ;)
A well run business in a good location.
I have no complaints..
Cute and colored, efficient staff and good location.
The first bathroom we entered had some mold on the ceeling and smelled like it. We asked for an other room and the managerin charged was very efficient. in the new bathroom the hot water on the shower took long to come or finished while showering. The reservation with booking..com didn't included breakfast even if wasn't that cheap.
The newer part of the hotel is quieter and the showers work properly, plus the decor is cleaner and fresher.. The staff were very helpful when my purse was stolen in the city with use of a phone and directions to the police etc.
The room we first got (on a Saturday when very full) was at the front so noisy, quite shabby, and there was no hot water so we couldn't shower.
the location is very good, staff is friendly
1. I seriously dislike when I can not sleep on Sunday morning 2 AM because guys are having a party at the courtyard of the hostel next to the hotel. 2. I seriously dislike the way they serve the breakfast.
The location was pretty central.
The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable. The noise at the back of the hotel was very high both late at night and early in the morning.
Nice staff, comfortable room, great location, good free wifi, nice pubs just around the corner
Noisy neighbouring pub at night
Great stay in the Townhouse Dublin. We were contacted by them before our arrival to see if we wished to change our room. We had booked a triple and a single. We were able to go view all the rooms and decide what we wanted and we were even given a discount. The staff at the desk were so nice we would def come back. The only thing was that the rooms we booked were not en suite but this was my mistake in booking. The staff was the nicest i've experienced in Dublin, the location a 5 min walk to O'Connell street. I would def recommend The Townhouse to anybody looking for a nice B&B in Dublin!
