the location is very good, staff is friendly
1. I seriously dislike when I can not sleep on Sunday morning 2 AM because guys are having a party at the courtyard of the hostel next to the hotel. 2. I seriously dislike the way they serve the breakfast.
The location was pretty central.
The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable. The noise at the back of the hotel was very high both late at night and early in the morning.
Nice staff, comfortable room, great location, good free wifi, nice pubs just around the corner
Noisy neighbouring pub at night
Great stay in the Townhouse Dublin. We were contacted by them before our arrival to see if we wished to change our room. We had booked a triple and a single. We were able to go view all the rooms and decide what we wanted and we were even given a discount. The staff at the desk were so nice we would def come back. The only thing was that the rooms we booked were not en suite but this was my mistake in booking. The staff was the nicest i've experienced in Dublin, the location a 5 min walk to O'Connell street. I would def recommend The Townhouse to anybody looking for a nice B&B in Dublin!
Very central Clean Good breakfast Good wifi
Very noisy back street
It was affordable and in a good location.
Our room door was left open by housekeeping. The master key was left in the wall. When we spoke to the front desk, the staff was very standoffish and didn't even apologize. They just said, "we'll check with housekeeping as to what happened." They didn't check in with us later either. We could have had everything stolen, but luckily nothing was missing.
Nice atmosphere and a pride in the history of the site.
Very noisy up to around 1AM, when the outside crowd disappeared.
Staff were very helpful. Parking was really good and secure however you need to book in advance as there are limited spaces in the garage. There was a good variety for breakfast. The location was perfect as you are only a short walking distance to the main part of Dublin!
The rooms were not the cleanest, with black mould around the shower sealant and dust in the corners of the floor tiles. It was quite a noisy location however we did stay on a Saturday night!
Staff was friendly and helpful.
It's a bed and breakfast and breakfast isn't free. We were a little confused.
Friendly and very helpful staff, a great breakfast with good choice and a very central location.
The Townhouse has an internal courtyard which can be a great place to relax outdoors. Our room opened over the courtyard but we found that the guests who used the courtyard at night had no consideration for other guests and were very loud until quite late as well as smoking questionable substances whose smoke drifted into our room if we left the windows open for fresh air. I'm sure that rooms that didn't open onto the courtyard would not have had this problem.
Kind staff, great location, nice small garden, stylish interior, ample breakfast
Rooms facing the street are quite loud, because of the old windows
We booked a room with one king bed and wasn't pleased with the two twin beds pushed together. It made sleeping there quite uncomfortable.
The room, the speedy action on hot water problem, the staff.
Limited breakfast (bain marie but served)
Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and everything worked
Was extremely loud. Our room was right next to an alley that was loud at night due to the pub next door and loud very early in the morning due to delivery trucks and workers. If it was loud at one time or the other it would be fine but it was loud all the time which made it had to sleep. Was also expensive for what we received.
our rooms at the back were noisey
Close to city center and congress center.
Very small "tired" looking room . Not really clean bathroom ( lots of mould in the shower). Very noisy from the garage across the street, window could not be completely closed. Breakfast would have been better self service ( you have to ask for what you choose to eat- not much to choose from). Way to expensive for what they offer.
accessible friendly helpfull and accomadating before check-in.prime central location
very hard to fault this hotel, definately will be coming back in future
My second time staying at the Townhouse, and I would definitely go back. Very friendly staff, clean and tidy room, great value for money.
The only criticism was the shower in room 208, quite temperamental. Other than that, would heartily recommend staying there.
Friendly accommodating staff
No fridge in room and no restauranmt
Location Staff friendliness
Breakfast Room was dark
For it's location it really is great value for money. Room was a good size, staff friendly and very clean.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic!
The staff is always friendly and helps with everything you can face with - starting from those strange british 220V plugs and up for where to go out friday evening. Wi-Fi works perfectly all over the townhouse. The breakfast is not included, but it is only 5 euros extra and as filling as any breakfast you may have in a bar for 10 euros. Location is perfect as well, especially for those returning after long bar-trips in Dublin ;)
The only thing is showers. They can easily fill the floor with water, and the water pressure is not that enough. I know, green theory, saving planet, but... Ok, that is not crucial anyway
Wifi in the room was excellent, safe in the room, 24 hour front desk being staffed.
Even on the top floor, noise from the traffic below was loud. No towel rack in the bathroom.
The friendliness of the staff, happy to accommodate and direct your inquires. The location worked well for me. A tour I had booked icked up right outside the hotel, as did a few other tour buses. There is a local bus stop right there also and walking to places was easy. Nice pub on the corner, Italian restaurant on the next cross street. Bathroom was very comfortable and my view of the street was very entertaining. My room was small but compact, clean and neat, really enjoyed my two nights there.
