We booked a room with one king bed and wasn't pleased with the two twin beds pushed together. It made sleeping there quite uncomfortable.
Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and everything worked
Was extremely loud. Our room was right next to an alley that was loud at night due to the pub next door and loud very early in the morning due to delivery trucks and workers. If it was loud at one time or the other it would be fine but it was loud all the time which made it had to sleep. Was also expensive for what we received.
our rooms at the back were noisey
accessible friendly helpfull and accomadating before check-in.prime central location
very hard to fault this hotel, definately will be coming back in future
My second time staying at the Townhouse, and I would definitely go back. Very friendly staff, clean and tidy room, great value for money.
The only criticism was the shower in room 208, quite temperamental. Other than that, would heartily recommend staying there.
Location Staff friendliness
Breakfast Room was dark
For it's location it really is great value for money. Room was a good size, staff friendly and very clean.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic!
Wifi in the room was excellent, safe in the room, 24 hour front desk being staffed.
Even on the top floor, noise from the traffic below was loud. No towel rack in the bathroom.
Four poster bed Black out curtains Decoration Mezzanine deck lounge Classy Friendly staff Connectivity (bus stop outside)
Bus stop outside
Great location, easy to walk to the main sites. Lovely historic building.
The traffic noise outside kept us awake - the original windows aren't enough to block out the noise. The room was a bit dirty and shabby and the shower room was badly in need of updating. The shower itself only worked sporadically
The townhouse Dublin is very central and within walking distance of the train station and quite a few other places of interest. Enjoyed our stay there.
Just 5 - 10 mins walk from many of the places I wanted visit, inc Abbey Theatre, Modern Art Gallery, O'Connell street area etc. And only 15 - 20 mins walk from others - Trinity College, Temple Bar, Grafton St etc. Good pubs nearby. Decent breakfast available from 7am. 24 hr access to the hotel.
Lighting in my bedroom was not bright enough and unable to isolate bedside lighting from main light.
the bed,TV, i was pleased with the bed lining how clean it was, drinks facilities.
big heave curtain, bathroom.the wall near the plus needed looking at.
Very noisy room - people were in the alley behind room partying late into the night. The beds are small and uncomfortable although sheets were clean. Unfriendly staff who never asked about our stay upon checkout. Shower full of mildew and outlets didn't work in room. Overall unpleasant stay.
Good location and very friendly people. Breakfast was great.
Fairly noisy as it is close to pubs and a warehouse out the back.
The Lafcadio Hearn and Dion Boucicault associations, well displayed, make this a good place for anyone interested in Japan or 19th-century theatre to visit.
The one problem was the large crowd of people in the lane behind, drinking, smoking and making a lot of noise until nearly 2am. Avoid rooms at the back!
Friendly helpful staff, comfortable, good value, easy to use wifi.
Some nights the street below our room was a bit noisy.
We've stayed here before. As always we weren't let down. A clean and comfortable hotel close to the city. Good value for money. Effective and reactive staff.
There was nothing not to like.
Townhouse location. Close to bus depot /stops - easy airport access.Close to shops, pubs, restaurants. Good sized rooms, very helpful staff, good court yard, breakfast was quite good.
Breakfast was good but I would have liked it more if was self service although I suppose those from the Backpackers hostel next door would feed themselves for the whole day.
Lots of noise from the rear in the evening, I can put up with that but it is hard to deal with between 06.00 and 07.00 in the morning with people slamming car doors in the yard at the back and shouting a lot.
Ideally situated accommodation, friendly and efficient staff, a Great Place to Stay at
Fantastic lodgings. Excellent location, Very clean and comfortable, Has laundry and kitchen facilities if needed. Wifi in bedroom. Guests are a nice balance of ages as well.
staff breakfast location The staff are so friendly and make you really welcome, they are very helpful in pointing out places of interest ect... Breakfast is full irish worth paying for,and the location is great plenty of buses and not far from train station.
Free wifi and very quiet room.
This 'hotel' is very old and you can see it everywhere. I did not eat in so I cannot judge this part but the worst thing is the location. Hotel is located in quite rough area and when I was coming back at around 11 pm I did not feel safe at all. This area is full of backpacker's B&B's and this hotel is not an exception. Suitable for people with low budget.
The only good thing for us was the location
We had stayed here 8 years ago and it was a perfect small hotel. But now it is not much above a Hostal., Threadbare carpets, dirty bathroom and the hygiene of breakfast staff left a lot to be desired. What a let down.
