Everything was very relaxed.very central.close to all amenities.
Great location,lovely breakfast, clean room
Did not like the staff at reception not friendly at all. wifi was terrible at times
Bathroom was nice
Hotel felt tired staff were polite but not enthusiastic
Great location for enjoying Galway city
The only good things about the Victoria is the location (5mins walk from Eyre Square) and that the staff were friendly - when assisting with my dirty sheets for example
The hotel is extremely outdated and the decor is reminiscent of the 1970s. Although we had a massive room, it was extremely grubby (the mustard coloured arm chairs in the room were black with dirt as was the carpet). The TV was extremely outdated too. We had been told there was an event with loud music on during our stay but did not expect the room to shake and the door rattle due to the bass for the night. Dirty sheets and also my 'crispy fried potatoes' for breakfast were actually oven potato wedges, not breakfast appropriate
Location breakfast was nice but scabby with there pudding as you only got half of one slice
Twin beds too close together no proper wardrobe smoking room with no ashtray used a saucer needs to be redorated badly door handles were knobs my nanny hurt her wrist trying to turn knob on front door and got locked in the bathroom because she couldn't turn the knob residence bar was always empty so felt uncomfortble staying but it was mid-week overall it was only ok but wasnt too expensive you pay for what you get if i was looking for a cheap break away i would stay again due to its location but definitly wouldnt bring elderly (my nanny was lucky i was in the room otherwise she would of been left there untill i came back) there ws no hairdryer i was lucky i brought my own
Horrible rooms smelly no bar till evening very dirty!!!
everything ok accept that you don't have a sockets next to beds because I think people need sometimes charging a mobile and using internet in and be in the bed :)
everything was ok
Staff were very friendly and the location was fantastic. Room also vet quiet at night.
Bed was rather hard.
The shower was only thing that was good in the room. Also it's a good location very central.
Bed sheets had stains, smellin the room was disgusting, furniture was falling apart, carpet was filthy and had what looked like mould just inside the room door as the carpet came away from the wall. The corridor was stinkingof smoke. The dirty bed linen from the tooms was left for ages in the corridor. The bar didn't open to 5.30pm and it also hada hhorrible smell. It wasn't cheap so I would of expected far more for my money, at least just to be clean. I'll never stay here again nor will the people I travelled with.
Lovely big room. Clean and comfortable. Curtains and carpet a bit tired. Great value in Galway city centre. Pretty quiet at night. No trouble sleeping.
Noise - a raucous party went on until 3.00am.
Central hotel close to everything it was clean and comfortable would stay again
Location and great value for money Staff very friendly and helpful
Enjoyed our stay, brilliant location, comfort and food.
the noise level - the loud music until late into the morning. The staff and management were more than accommodating.
size of room manger not very helpful
only positive thing here was proximity to town
I cant believe in this day and age that a tiny portable tv is suffice in a twin room,it was difficult to watch tv from 2nd bed if other person happened to be lying in other bed with knees up, the plug for kettle was behind a stand impossible to reach so had to use plug beside bed, there was no plug beside 2nd bed, there was no wardrobe, just a rail, an expensive room with no breakfast,
Was close to shops, bars and restaurants, great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again
Good location in the centre of Galway. Really handy for the car park which is discounted by the hotel.
Right beside Eyre square. The only redeeming feature of an otherwise poor hotel. Breakfast was ok.
1970s feel. In fact I think it's the same carpet fitted since then. Receptionist was robotic, the decor and furniture wouldn't be out of place in a charity shop. The room smelt musty and dank. The last time the windows were opened were probably the 70s also. The TV was a 15" remote. The paint was peeling from the bathroom room. I would imagine there are prison cells better appointed. If you want a Butlins like experience in a dark musty run down hotel that is room only, no bar, foyer etc this ithe place for you. Otherwise look at other hotels around Eyre sq.
Decor is very dated, staff were not friendly, v dull bedroom with dodgy electric radiator, bathroom condition was under par
Would stay at the Victoria hotel again very helpful friendly. As for Ireland its self beautiful, people are GREAT.a memorable 50th birthday trip thank you
Not being able to stay wake enough for the night life lol
The Hotel is in an excellent location.
Nothing I had a fantastic time.

The damp behind the bedside locker
