Very spacious, quiet and clean room. I had a comfortable sleep. Staff was friendly and courteous. Overall a good experience.
Room was a bit too warm, but I prefer that to a freezing room. You can always open the window.
Location excellent - just off Eyre Square. Room very large and well-appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast included in price. Exceptionally good value at just under €62 for the night. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Convenience to transport rail and bus and close to city centre.Value for money
noise from other rooms slamming doors and chatting outside on corridor
Hotel was only a minute walk to Eyre Square...was so clean and the staff were so so nice and helpful!
Close to trains, buses and restaurants.
Receptionist couldn't seem to get off of her I phone to answer our questions
Location is great as just off Eyre Square. Stayed on 2nd floor at back of hotel which was v quite. Didn't use wifi but my partner did and she had no complaints. The foyer was v nice & the area outside the lifts on 2nd floor was nicely decorated.
I thought the corridor to the rooms was abit narrow but that's only an observation. The bathroom had a hair dryer which was not fit for purpose and should be taken out of there. The shower was great but the complimentary shampoo & bath gel I wasn't enticed to use. The rooms didn't have key card, just the old fashioned key & oversized steel plate with room number on it. I guess that's nothing to complain about as we handed this back to reception anytime we left hotel.
Good location convenient to train/bus station as well as tourist areas. Full Irish breakfast with a breakfast bar was an unexpected addition to our stay.
Loved this hotel, well placed, quiet and comfortable - free wifi in public areas, friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast was lovely. Also I was driving and took advantage of the 24 hour car park a short distance away, 24 hours parking for 7 Euros because I was staying at the hotel - bargain !! Would definitely stay there again !!
the hotel is like seconds to eyre sq and the bus staion, just outside the hotel is the bus that takes to rosaveal to get the boat to the ARAN ISLANDS go there if ya get the chance, the islands brill, you can stay the night or a day trip,
The staff were quick to facilitate a room change when the dirt and loose door which constantly rattled where pointed out. Unfortunately the second room (which was larger) also had issues. The location, however, was great.
Aside from the overall look of the rooms being dated, they were unclean. There was layers of dust which had not been cleaned in quite awhile. The windows, carpets and furniture were also quite dirty.
spen a couple of days there on our way backand forth to the Atan Islands Sept 2014, Loved all of the above mentioned (value for money, in the heart of Galway, clean comfortable rooms great staff.)... also the Grand Old Hotel feel, especially at reasonable rates. Gabby ,Vancouver BC Canada
Did not have computer with me and lobby computer is very expensive! Do not take hotel for granted as it fills quickly and was full on our return from the Aran Islands, so book ahead
The Victoria Hotel is clean and quiet and just a short walk to the center of Galway. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.
Location and breakfast was good.
Very poor selection of whiskey in the bar!
The location friendly very clean and staff very helpful
A little fridge in the room would be nice.
The comfortable room, good bathroom, hotel very clean and pleasant . Good value for money and great location for town and railway station
Noisy - banging doors, very basic TV
Very central, clean hotel and the staff were very friendly
Unfortunately on the Sunday morning, the breakfast that we ordered took over 30 minutes and had still not arrived, as we then had to leave
