The Victoria Hotel is the perfect spot to stay if you want to be close to the hustle and bustle of Eyre Square and all the shops, bars and restaurants. However it is not too close that noise would bother you. It is tucked away in a lovely quiet corner with just a 5 min walk to all the local businesses. I would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to be in the centre of Galway.

location to city centre price for twin room was ok, but single beds. As two lads sharing we were not too bothered.

toiletries, towels... only one key allowed per room! and I mean a KEY.

We spent a terrifying night there. Victoria Hotel meant not sleeping at all and having a bad breakfast afterwards. Maybe they make more money by hiring their location for a discotheque with music until 3 o'clock than with the hotel guests; unfortunately some guests made their private room party until 6 o'clock. For us there was no sleep at all. Surprised that we could not meet any staff who felt responsable? For this price you'll find a lot of other, really nice places to stay!

Location was good. One of the receptionists was very helpful with regards to telling us where to go. The room was comfortable and clean.

Some of the other reception staff were not very friendly. We were made to pay in full on arrival.

You couldn't want for a better location. The Victoria is within easy walking distance of all Galway has to offer; furthermore, most bus tours pick up right outside the door. You are far enough away from the nightlife to enjoy a good night sleep.

    Location

The room was not one bit nice the air conditioning fans were right outside our window and with the noise off them couldn't even open the window and other than that we had a view of the wall taps broken in the sink and no milk provided with the tea/coffee.

The hotel is literally five minutes walk from Galway railway station. The receptionist was very helpful and supplied additional milk for the bedroom when we had run out. The breakfast was ample and there was plenty of choice every day.

    The location and the breakfast

The noise on the Friday night caused by a rowdy drunken guest who was trying to get into his room in the early hours of the morning and his room mate/s would not let him in and there was an argument which went on for hours !
