We loved staying at 'The waters '. It was a wonderful place to stay with very warm hosts and unique surroundings and curiosities for the romantic and adventurous
This B&B was the most beautiful spot that we found in our 10 day travel. You could not ask for a better place to get away for a relaxing experience with lots of space to sit and chat, with yourselves or with others that are staying. A self serving (on the honor) bar was a pleasant surprise in between 2 magnificient sitting areas (large living rooms). Absolutely beautiful. thank you for sharing your space with us Canadians.
wasn't a thing I didn't like!
The whole atmosphere is very very relaxing, and the owner and staff are delightful. The room was quirky, but comfortable. The breakfast... very good. We enjoyed the whole experience and felt very at home.
Very isolated back off the beaten path. Interior of facilities was dark and gloomy, quite scary for 2 single ladies.
The house has a wonderful atmosphere and the interior is well decorated. The breakfast is royal: fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals, charcuterie and cooked items, everything you need to explore the lovely region during the day. Wolfgang and his coworkers are doing a great job to make you feel comfortable. A perfect place for a romantic escape or honeymoon!
No wifi in the bedrooms (but accessible in the bar or cosy library) though we didn't miss it at all ;-)
The staff were instant friends and made us feel very welcome. The meal was my favorite breakfast the whole trip-- it had a lot of yummy selections to choose from and the croissants were warm! The place itself was really unique and cool. Certainly a stand-out from the rest! Plus, there were more plugs and outlets than you could ever ask for! :)
No wifi in room No TV in room
The location is quiet and out of the way, but close to many things if you have a car. The hotel if made from old beams that came from a barn in Italy!!! Beautiful place Ireland and the people were warm and welcoming!!!
loved everything, Wolfgang the owner was great!!!
location, staff, breakfast, price
Great, welcoming, attentive staff. Lovely secluded location. Extremely relaxing. Lovely breakfast. Lovely period, old fashioned, accommodation.
Loved the atmosphere and no TV in room as just wanted to relax. We felt welcomed. Also fridge available for milk for toddler and sink we could use to wash up. Very relaxing place.
Quality of room Not walking distance to City Centre Drain did not work properly in shower Hard to open and lock room door. Would not have stayed if I had known this
wonderful hosts,great breakfast
Staff friendliness and accommodation of our needs, mellow and haunting atmosphere, open access to the countryside.
The location the natural spring water the host and his staff the decor the roaring fires in the reception rooms
I liked everything
A bit remote
The hosts were very engaging and helpful. The food and rooms were very good and the house itself is very impressive. Great access point to check out the Burren and the Arran Islands -- not too far of a drive to go check out Galway either.
It's a little off of the beaten path, which we appreciate - but they could use some better directions and signage.
I loved the whole feel to the place. The idea of bar and help yourself is fantastic. Wonderful welcome. Wolfgang is doing exactly what he should be doing as his passion is felt! They did our laundry for us! After 10 days on the road that was needed so much and appreciated. Lovely spot! Thank you!
That we only stayed one night!
Everything ; we were made so welcome and we would liked to have stayed another night to enjoy the whole relaxed environment.
Our friends found the twin beds not so comfortable; but despite this they enjoyed the whole experience.
A group of five friends stayed here for one night over the late August bank holiday. We had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend it. The breakfast was delicious and generous, the rooms were beautifully furnished and the owners were hospitable and very friendly. The location is great for touring County Clare and Galway; it was possibly the best B&B we'd ever stayed in!
Wonderful atmosphere; friendly and helpful hosts; green, peaceful and secluded location. Lavish breakfasts, all-day tea and coffee counter, inviting sitting rooms. Satisfactory wi-fi. Great walks.
The beds - hard and narrow!
The wonderful welcome from Wolfgang, the quirky nature of the house, the Holy Well and the lovely breakfast.
People and decor
Architecture very well done designed building incorporating wells. Beautifully appointed. Owner host was wonderful.
The location is pretty far off Coast Road but worth the drive.
Location, peacefulness, views from room and sitting room, wine, sitting rooms
