Fleet Street Hotel19/20 Fleet Street, D2 Dublin (Show map) Good, Score from 536 reviews“We stayed at Fleet Street Hotel on the first weekend in December, it was freezing outside but the hotel and our room were all really warm and welcoming. The location is great jus at the end of Temple Bar which has a great atmosphere in the day and especially at night.”
Matthew,

The location is excellent, near the main attractions of the city (Trinity College, Temple Bar area, Connolly Street, St. Patrick Cathedral, Writers Museum, etc). The staff was very friendly, the bed was comfortable, tv screen very clear. The phonic isolation, there are to many doors in the hall.

I would recommend FleetStreet Hotel for people who want the to be in the city centre at a good price. We stayed there a couple of years ago when it was a bit faded but they have refurbished it lately so it is nice and very clean.Staff are also helpful and pleasent. the only downside was the price of parking in a nearby carpark, didn't ask at the hotel wether they get it at a cheaper rate for their visitors, nor did they ask, maybe it's something they could look into. We were there for the all-ireland and ideal for a weekend like that.

The location of the hotel was great, 2 minutes from Temple Bar. The hotel was clean, our room was clean, it was big enough, shower worked very well, loads of hot water, bed was comfy, room smelt clean. We found it was not noisy either. Staff very friendly and polite all the time. Couldn't fault the hotel and will return. Thank you for a pleasant stay. To be honest couldn't fault

The hotel was recently fully refurbished, which makes it the best place (taking into account the price) to stay at the very city centre in Temple Bar. Beds are very comfortable, bathroom is warm and well- equipped. What is more, the hotel is situated not at the very heart of Temple Bar, so it is relatively quiet (I guess, the only quiet) place at Temple Bar. Also, there is a kettle and other tea stuff in every room. And all the hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Summary: lovely place to stay at. Only two disadvantages: 1) Although rooms have double glazing, you might be not lucky to stay at the room (probably on first two floors) which faces the backyard with relatively noisy air vents. 2) Wi-Fi works only at the rooms above the reception, so don't expect good (any) wireless connectivity in your room.

Staff were friendly and eficient. The areas had recently been refurbished and were clean and tidy. The room was cleaned every day to a good standard. I had to report a faulty light in the room, There was also no clothes hangers on arrival. These things could have been avoided if the room had been checked prior to my arrival. I do not have any major complaints about the hotel at all these are minor details.

Room and Bathroom were very clean. The room faced to a quiet street and the windows shut out noise, too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Many stairs for reaching some of the rooms - was a bit annyoing because I had a heavy suitcase.

Very handy location for temple bar n shopping areas but can be very noisy at night time. Other than that very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Door of bedroom wasn't very safe. Location of the doors in the corridor were very noisy to rooms beside it.

The location was excellent, walking distance to everywhere of interest for the traveller. Bit noisy with pub next door changing barrels early morning...but thats all apart from slight inconvenience of refurbishment taking place , but perfect otherwise

The location The shower curtain was held up with cable ties and there was hair in the shower tray. My sisters room had writing on the wallpaper, the bathroom celing was on the floor, there was body fluid on the walls and a pair of underwear outside on the window ledge.

Location. Workmen using an angle-grinder at 7pm of which reception seemed completely unaware. When I asked when it would finish the guy on reception (Leandro?) wasn't sure. Work began again at 8 the next morning. Room was a bit on the grotty side - could do with a good hoovering, neither of the lights over the bed worked (one had bare wires showing), all the fire doors were wedged open when I got back from being out (which I promptly re-shut on my way to my room). Bed comfortable enough. Hotel is old and in need of a lot of tlc. If you're stuck in town late at night I'm sure it's fine but seriously you'd want to be fairly desperate.

Great location in the heart of Temple Bar, close to the shops and transport links. Rooms cleaned and bedding changed every day, staff very friendly and welcoming. Hotel was a bit scruffy (but clean), wallpaper hanging off the wall, desperately needs doing up. You have to hand your key in everytime you go out which is a bit annoying especially as we handed ours in and then it wasn't there when we went to collect it when we got back, so had to use a spare key not knowing where ours was which was a bit worrying. It had turned up the next day though. And you only get one pillow each which is completely flat anyway so didn't find it very comfortable.

Nothing to like There was nothing to like about this hotel. It is old, dirty, and literally falling apart. Walking down the stairs is felt as though the only thing holding them up was the nasty old carpeting. Getting to this location is a miracle in and of itself. I was informed by a taxi driver, whom I paid so I could follow him there, that even people who live in Dublin get lost! The hotel is next to several bars with drunk, screaming people most of the night ( and I was there on a Monday night). Stay away from this one! Not worth it even if the price was free! Would I recommend, not only no but hell no!
