Trying to get back to its old glory days when restaurant was second to none. Restaurant menu really let's it down but otherwise a lovely place to stay.
Lovely staff, great food and great location and views. The main reception area, restaurant and bar are very welcoming and homely.
Work is obviously underway to improve the hotel but the bedrooms are a little shabby and could do with a lick of paint and some new soft furnishings.
Comfortable, clean, lovely rooms, great, friendly staff, restaurant, tea room on site. Grounds are beautiful, location is peaceful, yet near a range of activities in the Wicklow mountain region. We ate in the restaurant on two occasions and found the food to be some of the best we ate during our Ireland visit.
The staff were very helpful n funny tipical Irish nice friendly people, especially the front desk ladies, good breakfast charming house
Delightful Victorian atmosphere and furnishings. Spacious room. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. I liked it so much that I changed my plans to stay there again on my return journey.
Nothing to complain about.
Country Manor peace and quiet. Good food excellent friendly staff. Great location
location value for money top quality breakfast
tv a bit dated
Very good location countryside with a view in the Park and over the Sea.
The hotel is very beautiful, but not stiff or formal. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was sumptuous and the food was excellent. The grounds and smoking areas are beautifully tended, with funky and classic features that mix well. We'll be back.
What a wonderful surprise when somewhere is much nicer than we anticipated - great welcome, beautiful junior suite and lovely atmosphere especially in the evening with the fires and candles lit. Dining room and dinner also lovely.
Wouldn't advise you stay when the Hotel is hosting a wedding, although Jolene advised us prior to arrival and gave us what was deemed to be a quiet room we could still hear the music into the early hours!
Lovely setting. lovely old victorian style rooms.
Food was good but expected a little more from a 4 star hotel.
The bedroom was very comfortable and the grounds are very nice
the breakfast buffet was not hot.
all of the staff was wonderful and very helpful. Even offered to go out of their way to help us. the food was delicious.
I like the atmosphere of this hotel, It is very old but so comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, the restaurant is very good, the breakfast is excellent. The staff are very good.
The TVs are just a bit too old, it would be a great improvement to replace them.
The location is wonderful with sea view every thing was perfect, A romantic time.
Good reaction to a problem reported about the lack of hot water. We were offered an upgrade but given it was the last night and we were leaving the hotel for the evening we declined. The issue was addressed at check out and reflected in our final bill.
Lovely location. Dedicated staff
Lovely old world charm, lovely food !
Staff seemed to be inexperienced but were always very polite and eager to please!!
we likedthe food and friendly staff
the bedroom we stayed in no 65 was dirty the windows was dirty including the frames when opened spiders in bedroom skirtings boards dirty bathroom floor dirty the whole room needs a good spring clean hope this is done before we visit again other tha that we enjoyed our stay
New management: well organized, lively atmosphere, rich breakfast with veg choices included. Wonderful new garden.
home from home very. comfortable could have stayed longer with a good book and beautiful surroundings a hidden. gem will be back
The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was very good.
Dinner in the dinningroom could have been better. Starter and desert menu not great. The desert when it came was of a poor standard for so called fine dinning. I couldn't eat the lemon meringue pie.
Loved the house, room big and comfortable with antiques.Bathroom big and Orla Kiely toiletries were a nice touch!Food was good in both bar and restaurant.
We liked everything about this hotel. It provides all that we'd hoped for in a country house hotel - warm welcome, extremely comfortable rooms, lovely restaurant and excellent staff. Very good value for money - and we shall definitely return for a future stay.
Breakfast service fell short on our second morning - neither my husband nor I received what we had ordered and we noticed that the same was true for some other guests. This was our only criticism in an otherwise perfect stay.
