Great, location, so comfortable, clean and ideal for weekend away. Price was excellent

very confortable appartment, ideally located in clifden city center perfect place to visit Connemara.

This apartment was a fantastic find! We go to Clifden a few times a year. We have found now with two kids we are very restricted in a hotel room, but its very expensive (and usually impossible) to get a holiday rental for less than a week. The apartment is spotlessly clean, modern, well decorated, central to everything in town and yet totally quiet. Kids loved it, having their own bedroom was great, and TV with good range of channels and DVD was great for times we were in the apartment. There is a fully equipped kitchen but being in the centre of town there is no end of places to eat out too. This time we also discovered a new spot very near the apt, Guys Bar, very family and kid friendly and do home made take-away pizzas. The kids were given an easter egg when they finished their dinner on Easter Sunday. Lovely touch! All in all Tom Barry House was a fantastic discovery, we will definitely be back!!

we had a penthouse, one twin and one double bedroom, double had actually lovely king size or super king size bed and en-suite bathroom, all new, fresh and clean, access to great balcony on the top of the building, we had really lovely and comfortable stay, thank you!

we ran short of toilet paper after firs night, could have a bit more pots etc. in the kitchen

We loved the central location of t b house, we had access to everything, supermarket, restaurants, pubs etc The apartment was fabulous with every modern convenience. A very short drive took us to mountains and beautiful countryside. Our stay was short but we plan to return...

It is very central for all activities in the area and for restaurants / pubs in Clifden.

The apt door was not as secure as it should be and a small bit of damp is creeping into a couple of places so that should be nipped in the bud before it gets worse...

Beautifully appointed, modern, clean apartment. Well heated during a particularly cold snap!

a little bit cold a night time - could have done with an extra blanket (but we didn't ask - and if we had i'm sure they would have been v. obliging)

Clean spacious apartment.. Well equipped but had to buy cloths. Helpful owner. Near to plenty restaurants and bars. Good location for accessing mountains.

Toilet seat kept falling down - really annoying. Shower head at very awkward position. Couldn't shower without soaking bathroom. Depressing views over horrible rooftops in the studio apartment. Had problem with tv which took 2 days to sort out though owner did try and was very apologetic.

we usually stay at b&b but after staying at tom barry penthouse apt for our 3 days at clifden we will not be doing guest house again- it was great at the apartment a real home from home - everything you need. definately be back.

perhaps the option of a welcome pack if you are arriving late would be a good idea

Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and very spacious apartment. Great location, right on Clifden's Main Street. Banks, post office, supermarket, pharmacy, etc. nearby.

Ideal location in Clifden town and also for touring the Connemara countryside and beaches. Great facilities in the apartment.

Great location in the heart of the town means that the many pubs (good food in most as well as live music) could be enjoyed without having to worry about driving. Clifden is a pretty town and Connemara is a stunning part of Ireland to visit. The apartment was comfortable, had wifi, tvs, good heating and I imagine in summer that the outdoor space would be fantastic to use. Spacious apartment.

Hand basin in master ensuite is too large for the space making it awkward to dry after showering as the ensuite is tiny whereas the bedroom itself is massive! In fact the whole shower unit could be upgraded as it's now a bit 'tired', door sticks. I'd also recommend that the kitchen stock a couple of basics (salt / pepper / oil / vinegar / dried herbs) especially as weekend visitors from overseas like ourselves don't want to buy all these or carry them around in our luggage. We recently rented a similar apartment in Paris for a weekend and it had a collection of basics which was fantastic. Small, easy to remedy dislikes. Still recommend it though!

Design - compliments for who did it, fully equipped kitchen was a surprise, it was like returning back to home, It was my first experience with taking appartment instead of hotel room, and it succeeded.

Very minor - we had almost everything in the kitchen except ... sugar.

Spacious Apartment relatively well equipped Huge Terrace view of countryside over rooftops of town. Quiet despite pubs all around! Over 80 sq metres And kids room well away from master bedroom which is ensuite. Excellent apartment I would recommend it!

Could use more plates and cutlery in the kitchen. A real coffeemaker also. And the waterpump which swutches on every time you use the water or the toilet is really noisy (next to twin room, heavy sleepers essential) Better security on the doors would be good and secure the access from the stairs to the terrace so that one can leave ones windows open at night. Even with the Irish weather a couple of lounge chairs for the terrace would be good

The service was excellent and very helpful. The accommodation was very clean and everything was provided. It was a fabulous location for restaurants and nightlife.

A lift would have been great, but next time we would just probably stay on the first floor

Tom Barry House is a well maintained apartment with all great security features. The Executive apartment we stayed was very clean and spacious over looking the main street. Locating the apartment was not difficult as well. All the requirements made during the booking was arranged as per the request prior to our arrival/check in. Total privacy.

No Complaints as it was made clear that there are no lifts and parking would be street parking, so no issues

We had a great couple of nights at the apartment, it was well kitted out with all necessities. It is easy to find and quiet despite the central location.

Nothing that we did not like except the rain!

The apartment was very clean and fresh with all the domestic appliances,kitchenware and utilities required for a stay in a self catering apartment . Bedroom furniture and living room furniture very comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities . Highly recommended .

The facilities were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. It is centrally located in the town and it is a good base from which to tour. We were made welcome on arrival and felt assured that we need not hesitate to contact management should we require any assistance. We had complete independance to come and go as we wished during our stay.
