Lovely hotel, bedroom had balcony, friendly staff, great food, beautiful pool and close to shops etc I stayed in bedroom 501 on the 4th Jan 12. Lovely room with balcony but there seems to be no seal around the door to balcony and the traffic noise is very loud during the night. There was strong winds on the night I stayed and I could hear a loud tapping noise all night from the flag poles at the corner of the football ground thats directly accross the road. It was very frustrating and with little or no seal around the balcony door, you hear everything. You dont hear the tapping of the flag poles until the quiet of night and when its breezy.

Starting at reception I would say only for this crew the ship would sink.Top marks and do keep up the good work. The Maldron would not be the same without you. The cleaning staff never stops on the move all the time, and rooms are done down to detail. and again cleaning staff are most friendly. Management top class. Night staff ? which never get a mention, Always available and very helpful.I take it people dont complain this Hotel is well established. .

stayed overnight at the hotel for family event, The staff were friendly. Our room clean and confortable. The function room however was far too warm and resulted in some of us going into the open air to cool down on a January night. we did ask for air conditioning to be turned on but this did not happen. Otherwise the stay at the hotel was most enjoyable. Overheated function room.

The swimming pool was good but a bit of a rush as children had to vacate the pool at 5pm on Saturday and didn't open until 9am on Sunday I thought I had booked a twin room but it was a double; went back to reception and they said they would change me to a twin room but when went to that room it was also a double so didn't bother going back a second time. Lack of towles in the hotel room - only one bath towel for one adult, one 10 year old and one toddler. Also, had to get towels from reception to take to the swimming pool

The kids loved the fact they had access to the pool facilities. Would definitely stay there again. We had requested an extra bed for one of the rooms. It wasn't in the room and when we got it, it was broken after several phonecalls to reception the bed wasn't cgangd until 11pm. Took too long considering I had children to get to bed

Great location for me - staff very pleasant I found the hotel to be quite cold. My room faced south so it was very very noisy - windows had to be kept closed so a poor night's sleep.

The Maldron is easy to access by road and has secure parking. The staff are friendly and helpful. The use of the swimming pool and fitness centre is very good. Food is only available in the bar - no separate restaurant. Our package did not include breakfast and when we inquired about purchasing tea and toast in the morning we were informed that breakfast was €12. If room only rates are available then there should be some different breakfast rates available as we were unwilling to pay €12 each- a total of €24 for tea and toast for two people. Naturally we went elsewhere for breakfast therefore the hotel lost our trade. Also we will be reluctant to book the Maldron again in the future as a result of this breakfast pricing policy.
