The overall price, parking, pool and comfortable room made the trip very relaxing and good value. The location is also very convenient so close to shops, the m50 and family in Firhouse. Will definately be reccomending it to family

easy to find; ample free car parking; friendly and helpful receptionists and other staff; free wi-fi; comfortable room; good atmosphere in lounge when footy on TV! Tallaght itself is a disappointment but a useful base for exploring

The price and location were great, the room was a bit small but cosy and we had a great view of the mountains from our balcony. They wanted to charge us 15euro a night to rent a dvd player thats the only negative thing I can say about our stay.

The hotel was very nice, our room was great value and very modern and comfortable. We stayed in this location to stay near family, however if we were in Dublin for a city break we probably would have found the location a bit far out

We often go away every 2 months to the Maldron myself and my wife and sometimes we bring our 2 sons with us our stay is usually quiet and relaxing and find the staff very helpful Our trip this time was completely different when we all went for breakfast we had to share the breakfast room with a load of workmen in their work clothes this to us caused a hygiene problem and when we brought this to the hotels attention we were told they were paying guests like we were, also while still eating our breakfast a member of staff kept coming to our table clearing items away which should not have been done. We also brought this issue to their attention and as to date no one has got back to us so therefore we will not be going back to the Maldron Hotel again.

got avery good deal, in a very modern hotel Sat nav led wrong directions. Upon arrival, was told that there was a football match on so our food service was curtailed to a secluded area. Food presented was vey poor. A burger with 8 chunky chips! over 14.00 euros. Given that both the cheese and bacon on the burger was frozen. Did i mention that i waited 45 mins for this meal!

Although we were staying in a smoking room there was an awful smell of smoke as we walked the corridor to our room and also in the room itself. The carpets were stained in the corridor and in the room, cobwebs in the room, shower curtain not hung up properly in the bathroom. Then we had problems with our room keys.

Location was excellent and suited my purpose. Staff were efficent and friendly. Room was very small and cramped and extremely hot and stuffy. We could only open the small window a little way, it was most uncomfortable. Other guests in our party had nice rooms with a balcony and large doors they could open ( though they had to change their room because the balcony door wouldn't close)

Staff were generally great. Hotel needs to improve Bedroom was filthy. Stained carpets, damaged furniture and very noisy despite asking for quiet room. Bar / restaurant area also in serious need of cleaning. Fire alarm was continuously set off one night by other guests but the hotel management couldn't "do anything about it"

Price, Bed sheets were clean. Sink was dirty inside, took sink stoper to reception. A guy came not long after, and he had cleaned it, but as he showed me, the problem was in the sink drain. Someone needed to take a brush and scrape it out properly. The carpet was very stained, and luckily I had bought some light shoes, so i didn't need to go barefoot. The rest of the room was tired looking but clean. Inside the bath was black marked on bottom. Needs refurb in my opinion. Doors were very heavy, so when u let it go, it made a hell of a racket. Hence lots of banging in corridors, all night, and noisy up above, sounded like a bowling alley!!

Location - close to work for the next morning. The main reason we stayed was for location - close to work for the next morning and the fact we could eat on the premises or so we thought. We could not eat in the bar/ restaurant as we were told they were too busy - they only had 8 dining tables!! They had plenty of extra tables which could have been used- we had to leave the premises to get food elsewhere, which defeated the purpose of our stay. Restaurant staff were in no way helpful or accommodating. I found this very disappointing as we could have had a dinner and room in many other hotels in the area for similar price. The signal for the cable TV stations was poor - unwatchable.
