Proximity to family and the leisure facilities
Some staff on reception were not very approachable or helpful
The hotel was ok for a short visit.
There was very little atmosphere in the hotel the dinning area left a lot to be desired. The food was ok but no feeling of welcome in the dinning area.
Rude waitress in the bar and one pass for two days for two people for wi-fi
Close to the luas
Disbelief of staff over what my confirmation email contained and theirs. Never had any problem with booking.com before but the hotel weren't very nice handling it.
General ambience, helpful staff, plentiful and varied breakfast, interesting architecture, convenient situation, fast lifts which always worked and, most of all for my grandchildren a lovely, good-sized pool.
The bedroom seemed too hot at night and I found the duvet too heavy. Of course this is a personal judgement & others might find just the opposite. Decor and carpets were a bit tired - a sign of the times or perhaps because we were taking advantage of a 'value offer' - the public areas were great.
l liked the swimming pool, Jacuzzi. I also liked that the room had a bath, as I did a long run and could then relax in a nice hot bath. the hotel is also very close to the Square shopping centre. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Maldron Tallaght and strongly recommend it.
The menu in the bar. The hotel looked well.
The mature lady who checked us in. No eye contact. Normally you get asked how your are, did you have to come far. Etc. Nothing. On arrival to our room she had given us a room which had adjoining doors which happened to have 2 small children who decided it was a great game to keep trying to open door. My husband went down to see about another room . She did move us but she made it clear that it was a hassle.
I liked the decor the staf an overall I would recomend it to all my family and friends
Location was great, staff were friendly, room was reasonably priced
Breakfast materials weren't top quality. Dining room was dingy.
Rate and front desk staff
Long way from town center
Excellent friendly staff, amazing food, very enjoyable stay, will stay again.
Friendly staff Great location Good facilities Nice rooms with great views
Very friendly staff. Good location. Comfortable bed. Proper mugs for in room coffee. Bath.
great to get free wifi - a nuisance having to go back to reception and get a voucher for same.
The price! The free car parking and the breakfast was not bad.
We arrived for dinner at 9:20 (kitchen closes at 10 we were told) I ordered Lamb Shank and got served chicken pasta at 10:20pm! With no option to get anything else, some fluff of an excuse about getting the orders mixed up and not having any shanks left....I still don't know what the true reason was! I was that gobsmacked the waiter just left it with me. I didn't want pasta, if I had I would have ordered it. I couldn't believe it!! You would imagine they would at least give you an option for something else if they ran out, not just serve whatever they had left over!! Anyway I ate the chicken out of it and my husbands salad from his steak. The homemade battered onions rings were either aldi or lidl ones, most definitely not home-made and my husbands thick cut chips were little skinny fries! Appalling. Anyway complained to the duty manager and got a 15% discount on the food, a free desert and two drinks each. Couldn't ask fairer than that I suppose, but put me off this place for life!
I like ever thing
Ever thing was ok.
Location not bad. Shops/restaurants near by. Secure free parking. Comfortable bed.
Overcharged at reception. Traffic/road work noise. Furniture in room tatty.
Right across the road from Tallaght stadium, great for us a we were there to watch the rugby league
Dirty carpet in room, gym very poor and dirty
It was a very pleasant stay.
There was nothing that annoyed me
Good basic hotel, clean
I like the cleanliness of the room and the balcony. And the service was prompt and dinner at the hotel was amazing. Staff Ross who tool our order was professional and friendly and helpful. Lamb was recommended and was devine and my partners Tallaght By Pass Steak sandwich went down a treat. Food and staff were fantastic.
Didn't like the Superior room that I booked because the Bed didn't look superior. There should be a feeling of Superior Room look. More pillows. Toilettries. And maybe i expected it to be bigger because it looked like a double i have been in before in other hotels. Room 306 lacked Superior ness. Sorry to say that. It was a good room but I didn't feel like it was quite worth the price I paid. But it was comfortable and clean.
The staff was excellent, couldn't do enough for you. The health club, workout area was very good. Nice pool.
Difficult time trying to check in. I had a difficult time finding the entrance to park. The room was a little too warm, kept the outside door open most of the time
The location suited my needs very well. The rooms were very clean and well presented, Beds were comfortable and there was a pleasant view from pation doors, my request for a quite room was accomodated. Staff were pleasant, the manager went out of his way to assist me on my arrival to show me to my room and allowed me to use staff lift as the guest ones were out of order and the food in the bar/restaurant was tasty. The hotel was very accomodating in relation to their car park and were generous in allowing me to park there for the duration of each of the check out days. The car park is very convenient to the hotel and felt car was secure. I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it as I appreciate the target market might not be targeted at the leisure traveller.
The rooms were very warm at night, there was a patio door but there was no mechasim to keep door open. I had booked a double room but I stayed there 8 nights in total and had to request an extra set of towels a number of times, I would have thought it should be a given under a double room booking. The selection of TV channells was odd, not very mainstream. I ate in the bar which doubles as the restaurant a number of times at night. The seating in there is very shabby and needs a good cleaning if replacement is not an option. One of the lifts was broken for the entire 2 weeks of my stay.
Comfortable bed Hot shower Reception staff helpfulness
I had booked and paid 135 euro but I saw rooms advertised on the internet a few days ago for a fraction of that price
