We phoned up on Wednesday 8th at around 7pm,before our stay, to ask if the McGregor fight was on the tv in any of your bars. It was communicated to me to be on in the Bailey bar. We were lied to by a member of your staff on the phone. We had no intention to cancel the room. When we attended the receptionist on the wedding day, we were told the truth that it was not on. When we made a complaint to the manager, we never got an apology for the lies that were told to us. It is just a little bit humiliating for your establishment. For these lies, I cannot say I would recommend your hotel to anyone because if you think you can treat people in that way, it shows you don't care for the needs of your visitors, instead you only care for cashing in. I genuinely feel that we should be compensated for the mistreatment.
I understand that it is only a ufc fight but it's the principle of being lied to and then not even receiving a full apology as soon as the truth surfaced, quite shocking really.
The convenience for a wedding was pretty much perfect, the great hall is a great venue.
