Location and hotel decor and spacious room Receptionist was not particularly friendly which affected our overall image of the hotel. I was not informed that the entire costs had in fact been deducted 2 weeks prior to our arrival. I also had to ask was breakfast included even though this was an added cost to the fee we had paid. in addition we were left standing in the restaurant and no one asked were we ok or waiting for a seat, of which non were available early Sunday evening. We in fact left and went into the town to eat. We did not feel welcomed or valued as residents of the hotel

The staff were brilliant at this hotel. Dealt with the receptionist & bar staff and both were amongst the best I have met, Would return to the hotel for the friendly feel alone! Room was nice and comfortable and the whole hotel was very warm. Two thing in all I wouldn't like: 1 - Bathroom in room was a bit decrepit in comparison to the rest of the hotel 2 - The tv in the room was very small & old, not having good sound or picture. I don't tend to go to a hotel to spend too long watching tv or in the bathroom thou so this wouldnt stop me staying there again!

I loved that the receptionist remembered me as I had stayed months ago, the room was just fantastic, I had my 9 yr old daughter with me as a treat away shopping and she just loved the hotel, especially the jacuzzi and the beautiful breakfast in bed.

Unfortunatelly when we arrived the hotel was closed for some reason. But manager wait us in front of entrance and suggested nearest hotel "Riverside hotel", which was much more gorgeous , but for the same money which we paid for Victoria.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Victoria house hotel. Our room was lovely. Very comfortable with jacuzi bath which we loved as we were on a mission of relaxation and rest. We had a lovely sitting area too in our room so it felt like a little suite. The food at the bar was ok but would have loved some vegetarian options or more variety besides sandwiches and the bog standard wings or soup! Overall we had a lovely relaxing time and would return if we got the deal we got this time.

The location was great, right at the entrance to the national Park. A bin full of used sanitary towels left in the bathroom for our kids to play with is a mistake that can happen, but shouldn't in a family room. The issue was dealt with rather unprofessionally. The prices for bar food get more expensive at the weekends, which is kind of strange.

Coming from a couple B&Bs, we were a bit disappointed by the formal nature of this Hotel, but I guess that's understandable. Our room was on the first floor, right besides the entrance, so we had a bit of noise, but nothing startling. Both the bedroom and bathroom were comfortable, but the latter had shower curtains instead of glass doors.

The Victoria House Hotel staff were very helpful and family friendly.A Cot was provided in the room for the baby. The breakfast was very tasty, as were the meals in the Bar.The Bar itself had a good selection of Irish Whiskey and the Guinness was perfect. The Jacuzzi in the room was welcome after a day out sightseeing and the Bed was clean and comfortable.I Would stay again. The location was a bit far out of town, if you wanted to walk but that was not a concern of ours. The Hotel does not have a great view unlike some others in the area but they make up for it in having very good customer service.

Very kind personnel. Excellent breakfast: not 10000 choices but quality products and cooked at the minute. Bar menu not extensive but quality again. Very good value for money (especially in Ireland)

Convenient The breakfast was an additional 8 euro, but only if we pre-booked it the night before. It cost 12 euro on the morning if we hadn't ordered in advance

It is in a great location and very quiet also. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. There was no spoon with the tea making facilities. The breakfast was poor. The scrambled egg was like leather. The full Irish was basic with poor quality sausages. A tourist area like Killarney must focus on good quality food. Home made breads would be great too.

The hotels has a very luxurious feel and look. Especially the breakfast room. It was clean with all the normal in room facilities E.G. kettle and tea/coffee things, shampoo, shower cap, soap, iron board, hairdryer, tv. Breakfast was great!!! They vacuumed the lobby 4:30 am on Saturday morning - I am usually a good sleeper but that woke me up and after that I could not sleep again - very inconsiderate!!!! The rooms are not very sound proof so all the hall way noise is heard in your room. The front staff was also not very friendly and smiley.
