I had wedding in the Ashford lodge so this place was perfect. €10 in a taxi. The breakfast was lovely, the nicest scrambled eggs ever and she let me sleep in very late
Great B & B, lovely lady running it. Thank you for your lovely hospitality
Prompt service. Requested a cab to take us to another venue upon arrival, which was confirmed. Host was very friendly and accommodating.
€11.00 'taxi' fare to go travel 3km to Ashford Lodge. (room rate was quoted as €55 and final bill was €66.00 No receipt given or offered for either lift in hosts private car or for payment for one night B&B for two adults.
Ann and Marty are simply the best. The are knowledgeable, caring, and most importantly willing to make sure your stay is the best possible. They spoiled for me, it's hard to compete for the rest of my B&B stays.
We enjoyed: a spacious, comfortable apartment; hosts Anne & Marty’s kindness; short drive to Cong shops & pubs; and the attractions of nearby nature walks, Cong Abbey, Ashmore Castle and drives to the country, loughs and sea.
Quaint B&B set in the countryside. Excellent owners!
Very little hot water in the shower.
The hostess attention to detail and friendliness.
The owner was lovely, really friendly and accommodating, she couldn't do enough. Breakfast was lovely, really nice room and nice surroundings. Recommend this b&b to anyone.
The lady was so relaxed and nice, it actually felt more like staying in a friends house for the night. breakfast was very tasty and much needed after the wedding the night before. Would definitely recommend to anyone attending a wedding in the area as it is just a short taxi ride away.
The one bedroomed apartment was a self contained building so not worried about my twelve year old disturbing other residents ,it has everything you need for your stay to make it feel like a home from home
That we couldnt stay longer
Location, hosts, food, friendly.
Beautiful B&B, close to Cong and Ashford Castle.
Value, owner very accommodating.
We were moved to another B & B when we arrived, not happy!!!
A warm friendly welcome from the owners made it feel like visiting family. Nice experience all round
My Teenager thought wifi was useless-it didn't affect me though !
We could stay under the roof overnight. We could make of use kitchen facility.
Tempted by a good price we booked 1 bed apartment for 1 night. Reservation was confirmed. Unfortunately upon arrival we were told the apartment is STILL occupied by lady with some health problem (!?). "But I can offer you double room at the same price" - we heard (sic!)
Location - superb Owner - very pleasant Car parking
On arrival our apartment was not available due to illness of previous occupants? Who knows why? We were sent 100 yards away to a similar property but without WIFI, poor selection channels on freeview TV (no TV's in bedrooms) and had to pay for electricity by meter...
Facilities were fine
No hot water for showers with no real apology about it. We were charged for a lift back from a wedding at a hotel which i thought was very cheeky. Other guests werent charged it turned out
An excellent full Irish breakfast!
Very Clean and value for money
Decor a little dated, but cleanliness preferred to modern furnishings
Ann and Marty made us so welcome we were greeted with home made bread which was gorgeous they were both very kind and helpful would recommend Villa Pio for anyone wanting to visit Ireland thanks for everything looking forward to returning in October
This was more like a visit with friends than a commercial experience. Ann and Marty were good company, eager to help us appreciate the area. We stayed in the B&B but because we expressed interest, we were treated to a tour of their impressive self-catering apartment -- truly a bargain!
I didn't like that we were only here for one night!
we did self caturing, the apartment was really first class, couldnt have wisshed for any better
Ann and husband Marty are wonderful hosts , warm , friendly , welcoming and hospitable in the real Irish way . Ann's brown bread is excellent (sadly I forgot to ask for her recipe) .Accomodation is very comfortable and spotless . Ann catered for our every need at a late breakfast .We felt totally at home in their lovely guesthouse and can fully recommend Villa Pio to those travelling West
