The lady was so relaxed and nice, it actually felt more like staying in a friends house for the night. breakfast was very tasty and much needed after the wedding the night before. Would definitely recommend to anyone attending a wedding in the area as it is just a short taxi ride away.

The one bedroomed apartment was a self contained building so not worried about my twelve year old disturbing other residents ,it has everything you need for your stay to make it feel like a home from home

    That we couldnt stay longer

We could stay under the roof overnight. We could make of use kitchen facility.

Tempted by a good price we booked 1 bed apartment for 1 night. Reservation was confirmed. Unfortunately upon arrival we were told the apartment is STILL occupied by lady with some health problem (!?). "But I can offer you double room at the same price" - we heard (sic!)

Location - superb Owner - very pleasant Car parking

On arrival our apartment was not available due to illness of previous occupants? Who knows why? We were sent 100 yards away to a similar property but without WIFI, poor selection channels on freeview TV (no TV's in bedrooms) and had to pay for electricity by meter...

    Facilities were fine

No hot water for showers with no real apology about it. We were charged for a lift back from a wedding at a hotel which i thought was very cheeky. Other guests werent charged it turned out

This was more like a visit with friends than a commercial experience. Ann and Marty were good company, eager to help us appreciate the area. We stayed in the B&B but because we expressed interest, we were treated to a tour of their impressive self-catering apartment -- truly a bargain!

I didn't like that we were only here for one night!

Ann and husband Marty are wonderful hosts , warm , friendly , welcoming and hospitable in the real Irish way . Ann's brown bread is excellent (sadly I forgot to ask for her recipe) .Accomodation is very comfortable and spotless . Ann catered for our every need at a late breakfast .We felt totally at home in their lovely guesthouse and can fully recommend Villa Pio to those travelling West

    Friendly hosts

First time we booked a B&B and realised that the price we originally got didn't include breakfast (had always assumed breakfast was included in a B&B). So we got the breakfast added on to the price. Breakfast was ok. It's not within walking distance of Lisloughrey Lodge but host offered to 'taxi' us 2minutes in the car down the road to the Lodge and the fare was then added on when we checked out. Water in the shower of the shared bathroom was luke warm and weakish pressure.

Great location for visiting Ashford castle and the surrounding countryside. Cong is also where many movies have been filmed in Ireland, and we were fortunate enough to watch some scenes being filmed for Mary Queen of Scots.

There aren't really any good restaurants in town. The best we could find was Lydon's, where the food was sub-par but seems to be a popular hangout for locals. It was nice to meet some of the locals, but it would have been better if it were a good food experience.

Near the venue where wedding reception was.

The food was very basic. We had no choice.
