Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, great location.
Location fabulous, right in the middle of Salthill, hotel itself is a hotel with a bar, quaint hotel, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, great breakfast, cannot complain!
Very good breakfasts, close to Salthill beaches and on bus line
The hotel will only give you one key , like another we stayed at . If your partner is out late , he /she may get locked , as there is no one 'on watch' to let them in . There credit card machines do not work ?
Room, although small was spotlessly clean. Very cheap price and within walking distance of Eyre Square. All lights and shower were working fine (which is rarely the case with 2 star accommodation). Staff seemed sound enough.
Wi-fi only reached up to the first floor. If you happened to be staying on the 2nd floor (as I was), it did not reach. Had to leave taps on for an age before water became hot enough, and sink was very slow in draining water. A bit noisy at night, but that's a given if you're living over a pub.
good location about equa distance between salthill and town centre
Lovely hot breakfast. Comfortable bed. Great wifi all over. Staff were very nice and helpful. Walking distance to Salthill (15minutes to the beach.) Good value compared to others in the area.
In need of refurbishment and redecorating to bring it up to 'hotel' standard. Room was quite small.
Comfy bed, clean bathroom.
Very old fashioned, only stayed here as all other hotels in the vicinity booked out! Was ok as a last resort, pricy too!!
Close to Central area
For the price paid it was a dorm room with a closet turned into a bathroom. Don't pay more that €40 tops....
No functioning WiFi, very thin walls and central heating impossible to turn off despite it being a warm summer's day. Overpriced for what was available.
Bad value. Old and dirty.
Staff were great.
Place did look abit run down, but that wasnt a negative for us. Staff helpful, and friendly. Loved the wee bar, and the locals who were just having a wee music session oblivious to any tourists.. nice stroll into the main part of town.
Dont recall anything negative, for fhe price we were prepared to pay we were happy.
Shower not working.
Very friendly staff, extremely comfy bed, excellent location ( short walk from town centre and very short walk to the beach/bay). Very clean and homely. Big tasty breakfast. Staff responded politely and quickly to requests. Very good value for money.
Weak WiFi signal. Could not get online at all. Fuzzy TV picture with no remote.
we were charged extra for breakfast even though the breakfast was supposed to be included in the booking price. very disappointing set-up.. . .staff very negative. little interest in clients.
Staff lovely, friendly and laid back. This hotel has a family-run feel and the bar downstairs seems like a nice place to relax and have a drink. Would definitely stay here again for the good value, comfort and location.
The heating was on and unable to tun off when it was 20 degrees outside! When queried we were told that it was just on for an hour to heat up the water, which is fair enough given that the hotel is an oldish house.
Nice room, it was kept well for me during the stay without intrusion. Breakfast and overall catering not great for vegetarians, but the morning staff were always pleasant. Useful location for town and the arts festival. Nice downstairs bar, clearly popular with locals. Overall, very relaxed.
city location great coffee nice staff
Loved location, city centre and Salthill beach are about 10 min walk, quiet place.
Would be nice that there was more food choice between meal times apart from just sandwiches.
staff brilliant, location good for beach or city shopping
no lift to rooms for older or disabled people
Nice clean friendly staff
good location for what i wanted, lively atmosphere in bar. bed comfortable and good shower.
room a bit small.
Grandpa smashing next door walls paper thin All in all gross!
