This was the last night of our 3 week trip but it was wonderful...the manager picked us up at the airport...the food was awesome as was the view. The price was extremely reasonable...could not have been better....really!

Although I thought the general part of the hotel was quite basic, our accommodation in the 'new wing' was really nice with a balcony overlooking the sea. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the complementary bus into and from the village was really appreciated. (The speed bumps on the way into the village were another matter). The location of the hotel is lovely as it is so close to the beautiful beach.

beautiful site, right on the beach. a bit run-down but serve food & drink so if you want nice quiet time staying put at beach, its perfect.

from check-in on, staff disorganised & confused.

I booked a room with a sea view and we got just that, it was wonderful, we slept with the door to the balcony open and could hear the waves washing upon the shore. To see the lights of the land across the water was lovely too. It made our stay perfect - to have this sea view and be on the beach where I found some lovely stones, was just perfect.

It was a good overall experience that both my partner and I were please about. Perhaps the bar food experience could be improved upon.

The breakfast is about the only good thing at the hotel.

Dirty room, dirty shower head, dirty cutlery, plates, and cups. Dirty minging pint glasses. One of the smallest tv's I have ever seen in a hotel room.

very friendly staff from reception to house-keeping, the barmaid was very good with the kids

It's our 6th time in the Waterside House Hotel and we have been disappointed about the room (a b&b room would have been of a better quality and cheaper!). It was old and we could not sleep because the light outside was coming straight into our room. They switched off the light at 5.30 am.

The evening menus in both restaurants were excellent. Top class.

The bathroom was very tired. The cooked breakfast was terrible, bacon was cold and dry. Cold buffet tinned fruit and very little choice of cereal. Cheep fruit juice.

It's a great place to stay provided there is no wedding on that day otherwise you will regret it.

Saturday night was very noisy. The band stopped playing at 1AM. Drunken revellers from the earlier wedding finally stopped making a noise at 5AM. The shower was just above freezing and then dripped all night. When it was 'repaired' it was tepid and still dripped all night.

I liked the view of Howth & Lambay from my bedroom.

I did not like customers smoking e-cigarettes in the bar, I don't know if you have a policy on this mater yet; e-cigarettes are banned in a lot of places at present.

    Beautiful location, good food

We picked this hotel to find some peace outside if Dublin. There was a live band directly under our room and drunk people shouting outside our window until 1:30 am. It felt like I was trying to sleep on a pub stool.

The staff were friendly and location on the shore was good. It was in a picturesque area. The cooked breakfast was nice, but cutlery etc coming out of the dishwasher left residue on all items.

The cleanliness of the room was not up to my expectation at all. There were too many issues ie stains on carpet, pillows and general furniture cleanliness which could have been prevented but wern't. This lets the standard of the hotel down which is very unfortunate.

I had a facial while my partner played golf. Ciara was excellent and would strongly recommend having a treatment with her. The staff were very helpful and the food excellent.

    Wished I could stay longer.

Friendly staff especially serving evening meal in the bar. Very good food especially evening meal.

Very dirty shower. Frosted glass on window. Like sleeping in a bathroom. The fact I was given this horrible room over extractor fans despite very few guests staying that night. (staff member confirmed this) I will not be back.

The food in restaurant the was fantastic and the sea view from the Hotel was spectacular. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Food was a bit over priced in the restaurant as was the wine, would have liked some items from bar menu to be available in restaurant e.g. sea food chowder.
