It was really comfortable, clean and the staff were lovely There was no vegetatian option for food, when I enquired I was told the tagliatelli was veggie but it had meat in it!. We had to go out to eat and would much rather have stayed in the Hotel if there was anything in either food outlet that we could eat. |

I found the envoirment very relaxing, and the staff very friendly. the rooms where very peacefull and I rely enjoyd my stay, I would recomend The West County hotel to any one, and I would stay there again. The only flaw was the shower was not working correctly in my room, other than that evrything was fine. |

Facilities were generally good staff friendly value for money outstanding and location very good room warm and comfy. Good parking. Cafe good. Pub good. I like your hotel. The phone in the room was dead facility issue, so that when the neighbours were shouting and making noise at 4 in the morning staff were not contactable? Despite this I would stay again lesson learned check that the phone works. External call to confirm not answered. Sort out your phones. |

The breakfast is very good and the hotel always looked clean. The room we were in could do with some updating or repairs carried out to the bathroom. Also since last time they do not have some of the little extra in the rooms. |

The one morning that we went down for breakfast the service was poor. We waited to be seated and for a waiter/waitress to take our breakfast coupons, no one bothered to attend to us so we just sat down at a table. The breakfast room was busy at the time and as result of this the tables were poorly set. We as well as other people I observed were wandering around the room to other empty tables to get tea cups, cutlery etc. Eventually we got a waiters attention and we ordered our tea, which he gave us without anything to drink it out of, i.e a cup!! Our bedroom was not very clean, the dust was thick on the radiator pipe, also dust clearly visible on the light bulbs in the lamps. There was splash back of something or other on back of toilet door |

The pool area and the ample parking and staff would be the only things I could say were good about this hotel. We were difinitely not in a recently refurbished bedroom. The hotel was not in the centre of town as indicated, it was a 20 minute walk along a busy road. The bathtub was decrepit with mildew and flaking caulking. The carpets were dirty and it smelled like smoke throughout. To access the wireless internet, we had to go to the lobby, as you couldn't receive it in the room. The menu wasn't very appealing either. I wouldn't go back to the West County. |

The hotel staff were excellent. Yes...this is a family hotel yet has very restrictive hours on the pool for children under 16. Doesn't make sense and upset several kids/parents in our group. |

It was very relaxing weekend and the dinner was excellent. Very friendly staff in the bar and restaurant. The lobby area of the hotel is nice a clean and looks newly decorated. I found the rooms on the second floor smelt very strongly of stale cigarette smoke. it's the first smell that meets you when you enter the corridor. My husband and I are smoker's so it's a releif to be able to smoke in the room's but the smell was quite over whelming i've never noticed this in other hotels we've stayed in. The bedroom's and bathrom's could do with an overhaul. The bathroom although clean had a lot of mould on them which gives the impression they are not clean which can be very of putting. |

Convient location Rooms were not throughly cleaned any of the days that we stayed. Empty coffee cups left in room, glasses not cleaned left dirty in room. Unclean hallways and kids running wild at all hours of the night. One night it was almost midnight and they were still running around with no parents in sight. |

We attended a wedding and the reception room was beautifully presented. The food was excellent. Location is very central. I would say the hotel needs a good cleaning. The shower in the bedroom needed cleaning, the lift was dirty, the bars were all sticky if you put you arm on it while ordering a drink. We had to walk through the smoking bedroom hallway to get to our room and the smell was disgusting. The smell even lingered in the non smoking area. We had to move rooms as our first one smelled of smoke even though it was non smoking. One of the staff on reception had a dirty uniform on when we checked in. Unfortunately I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. |

Very little except the General Manager was very apologetic. We asked for non-smoking and received smoking. The hotel was incredibly noisy. The restaurant staff had no idea what they were doing, the food was re-heated, we were overcharged. The website has no facility to ask for a room for 2 adults and 2 children. |

beds were comfortable toilets in our room were very grubby and need attention to bring them up to a decent standard. Also, corridors smelled very grubby/smokey. Saw a cockroach near the dining area on our final day. |
