rooms staff food and place perfect
lobby like building site and stuck in lift but the night porter could not be more helpfull he is a credit
Family room was lovely. Plenty of room. Cool red double decker bus bunk beds. Kids loved it. Bathroom was clean with a good power shower.Pool and gym area excellent. Breakfast was good.
Bar and breakfast room a bit run down. Could do with a facelift. Reception and lobby were under construction.
The reception and lobby floors were torn up restaurant was closed as renovations being carried out.breakfast was served in a bar nobody was there to take my room number and have way through my breakfast they were asking for room number.also nobody was there to serve tea or coffee with breakfast
Great big function room for the wedding, friendly and helpful staff, lovely food :)
The room was quiet breakfast was excellent. Music was good on the night.
Food,entertainment,leisure,very good.Friendly staff.
Refurbishment...butit has to be done
The swimming pool and leisure facilities were excellent.the water a lovely temp. The evening meal from the restaurant menu was quite good due to restaurant being renovated all food was served in the hotel bar.dinner staff very attentive. The music is the bar with the band Atomic Chicken was really fun and we really enjoyed them.
When we arrived we were shocked to see the building was under major construction,I had requested a downstairs room. When I told reception of my dismay she told me that everyone had been contacted to let them know.Well I did receive a phone call that there was no downstairs rooms avail as they were renovating. I thought she meant just the downstairs rooms, she did not specify that it was a major construction site that was the front lobby,Main dining room, cafe etc,I narrowly missed being hit by a guy carrying a sheet of Sheetrock..the ceiling and all the walls have been torn down and exposed to the elements. Our room although ok is nothing like the photo shown on website. It is a good jog to our room from reception, the hallways, entrance carpets are filthy, smell damp and are cold. I noticed litter been left from day before, smell of someone smoking on our floor.the bathtub was not cleaned well,It also had hair by the tap and along the inside rim.no coffee stocked in our room. There was a terrible smell in the cupboard,we couldn't store our clothes in it,I suspect it was from a spare pillow (it smelled like a very dirty pillow) that is kept there.when we came down for breakfast the first morning at 10am,most of the food, bread, juice was gone and although it was replenished it was disappointing. The rashers were pale, like leather and similar to hospital food surprising considering they just came out of the same kitchen that cooked us a very nice dinner.the breakfast room is at the back bar and is very dark and very dimly lit. The changing rooms, cubicles, showers in the leisure center were not cleaned. I also noticed the same discarded empty toiletries left in the corner from the day before.lots of discarded empty water bottle lying around by pool.(there is no water cooler) .We were really looking forward to this break and we left feeling a little cheated.I Had looked at reviews of this hotel on booking.
good even though work was in progress.
Great hotel couldn't fault it also food was excellent in the bar we will definitely be back
Friendly helpful reception and bar and restaurant staff.
Warned about refurbishment by phone as no restaurant. First room had no bath however relocated quickly. Room on first floor nice and quiet however lift broke.
Breakfast room was dark dreary builders all over hotel working we were not informed beforehand and would not have stayed if we had known
Great bar food, great nightly entertainment, good prices on food and beverages .
We have stayed in this hotel a number of times, on this occasion very disappointed with the breakfast, lack of fresh fruit , also lack of(none) yogurt's and the porridge was not good. This hotel is in the middle of a makeover, we will await the outcome.
The meals were well prepared and served. The staff were very friendly and eager to help . The leisure center was okay.
Room facilities were off poor qualities. the room was quite dusty and the family kept sneezing all through. The bathroom was different story. The two first rooms we were allocated to had the toilet sink handle broken and couldn't be fixed bcos of the weekend. The bedroom and bathroom roof were leaking,. We were unable to connect to wi-Fi after the 2nd day.
The pool was good and the staff were friendly. I liked the friendly informal atmosphere of the place.
The first room we were shown had mould on the ceiling. The second room was better but behind the bunkbeds was dirty with previous occupants socks still there. The quality of children's food was poor, bargain basement fish fingers and chips, extremely greasy. There was a large wedding at the hotel which meant we had to wait 40 mins for our main course, not too easy with a 1 and 4 year old.
From the time we arrived till leaving , the staff looked after all our needs & requirements with no fuss & nothing was a problem . It was a busy time for the hotel & we were never waiting or delayed . I truly enjoyed my stay & thanks to all the staff, this was made memorable . Would recommend to any visitor & don't leave without enjoying the leisure facilities & eating in there restaurant . Good food & good selection on menu for all tastes .
No shower gel in shower, fusty smell in room, no top sheet on bed, very basic hotel
Room was spotlessly clean, very good pressure in the shower. All staff very friendly and helpful. Nice Xmas decorations.
Hallway carpets need a good steam clean!
There was a stain on bedspread bathroom towels were poor heating was on too high for temps outside this must've a waste of money for hotel s energy costs overall it our stay was a good experience breakfast was good and staff pleasant
Beautiful part of Ireland and friendly staff
Rooms very dated and a little expensive especially giving the fact a taxi was essential to visit the towns great night life
Bar and bar food. Good actually veery good heat in my room.
Downstairs main toilets in bar were very cold.

Loved the hotel, bar, leisure center, everything. We'll be back. Thanks.
Very nice hotel, large, clean rooms. Friendly, helpful, happy staff. The food in 'the county grill' was delicious. Only 20 minutes walk into town or use the free taxi phone at reception and get a taxi for €8 to town. Great hotel, will definitely stay there again next time we visit Ennis.
