The West County hotel boasts recently refurbished bedrooms and public areas, as well as the impressive facilities of one of Ireland's largest leisure centres. The Kingfisher Leisure Centre boasts 3 pools, a gymnasium, a sauna and a jacuzzi.

Comfortable and elegant, the West County Hotel offers traditional hospitality and friendly service with a range of dining options. The Pine Room is the hotel’s à la carte restaurant, while the County Grill and Boru's traditional Irish pub and carvery offer more informal dining. The hotel also houses the Cafe West Coffee Dock, which offers tea and coffees, as well as sandwiches, wraps and snacks. Lynch West County Hotel offers an excellent choice of accommodation to suit everyone, the business client, the large family and indeed the leisure guest. Choose from 152 bedrooms including newly refurbished mini-suites, executive room and interconnecting rooms. Each are elegantly appointed with en-suite bathroom, welcome tray and satellite TV.

Area information

The west county hotel is an ideal base to explore all that Ennis and the mid west has to offer. With its many charming and historic features, the Clare region makes for a wonderfully relaxing but yet activity filled holiday, from wind surfing in Lahinch to a pleasant day shopping followed by lunch in the charming Ennis town centre.

Lynch West County Hotel, which is located on the N8 and only 14 miles from Shannon airport, is the ideal base for touring the Shannon region. There are numerous tourist attractions within driving distance of the hotel, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Ailwee Cave to name a few.
Clare is a haven for avid golfers with the Doonbeg, Lahinch, Dromoland and Shannon golf clubs just a short drive away from the hotel. Ennis town centre with its extensive shopping and bustling nightlife is just a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Not much i'm afraid

I booked at this hotel because their quality has always been to a high standard.This one was not.It is in need of an overhall & many quality & comfort requirements should be improved.To make matters worse the corridors smelt badly of cigarettes & someone had opened the fire exit door to try to remove the smell but had left the lights on near this door which had allowed many moskito nats in.

I liked the staff's attitude which was very professional and friendly. I felt very welcome at the hotel and I'd hope to use it again in the future should I need to.

The bathroom wasn't lit very well in the room I was staying in. Besides that I thought it was a very good hotel.

As the weather was not so good during our stay and prevented us from enjoying the pleasant surroundings of Ennis, we availed of the fabulous pools and leisure center.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the use of the hotels broadband facilities is excellent. I travel everywhere with my laptop and I would NOT stay in any hotel that didn't offer broadband. I need to stay in contact every day.

Just a few points on this....the tables in the bar area were way too high for the chairs that were around them. ..it was very awkward especially trying to eat the bar food.....there was a stale musty smell when you got off the elevator on the 2nd floor...it was like dampness...the waiting staff were very inexperienced....with the money you pay, you shouldn't have to self service your breakfast.
