Western Hotel  

It's central location and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

For the price charged the room was not good value.

It was just off Eyre Square which made it perfect for walking into the city. It also has good car parking which is a bonus in any town. Staff were helpful and there was a good meal offer on our first night.

We had a problem finding the hotel at first as we arrived ariund 6.30 in the evening and the town was busy but that could happen anywhere - no reflection on the hotel

Very good location. Generous portions for eveing meal and breakfast. Eveing meal was very good value. Friendly staff.

We were very disappointed with our room. We would not consider it good value for money. There was a strong smell of smoke on the landing out side our room. The hotel badly neeeds to replace the bedroom windows, as it over looks a main road and was extremely noisey with traffic and pedestrians. Curtains were too small for the windows, and lets in flood lighting. We won't be returning.

We enjoyed our stay at he Western. Great staff, good food, good location. Great valye.

Bad fumes of the heater in room . The curtains were broke and could not close them properlly. The Breakfast was just ok. We have stayed here many times before and were happy but this time a bit disappointed.

Room was cold carpets were thread bare and really old fashioned breakfast was served on child size plates entertainment was poor it was way overpriced and bad value compaired even to a guest house wont be back its a vfery bad showcase for tourism

On arrival we were offered the choice of a quad room (for 2 adults and 2 children) or we could stay in an apartment. The room was fine but we decided on the stylish apartment as it had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge/diner/kitchen, outside balcony/sitting area. Cleaners came in every day. There was also a fully working kitchen - cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine etc. if needed. Secure underground parking too. The apartment was over the road from the Western Hotel. We went to the Hotel every morning for an excellent breakfast. Choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, tea, coffee, juices etc as well as full Irish breakfast. Good bar in Hotel, reasonable priced drinks and food available. Would definitely stop here again.

The only tricky thing about this Hotel is finding the parking - which is to the rear of the hotel. Best to enquire at the Hotel for directions.

The staff were lovely and very helpful, room was large for 3 people, comfy beds huge bathroom, and very clean, breakfast was great and dinner in restaurant was lovely, excellent overall

Would have liked some lighting around mirrors and in the bathroom no plug for the handbasin again need more lighting around the mirror

No desk and chair in the room. Breakfast was dreadful: big plate of grease. They could pay more attention to the fire regulations also.
