Lovely room with our own outside space. Really comfy bed and spotless. Fab fab food! Thanks
The smoked salmon with apple and chicory salad was superb. Arrived late but was offered homemade wheaten with my glass of wine. Cosy atmosphere in bar. Excellent breakfast.
Nothing. High standard throughout
Everything - really lovely residents' lounge with a good variety of reading matter available.
- very cosy and convenient hotel
- food good but expensive
The quality of the food is second to none. The style of cooking is something you would more readily associate with a Michelin star, city-based establishment, plus it is extremely good value. The breakfast is also beautiful which makes the overnight stay, with dinner, an experience to repeat as soon as possible.
Everything !! Lovely place, excellent service and very friendly owners and staff
loved the lovely smells from kitchen, comfy residents lounge with loads of books and magazines and gorgeous sofas , cosy bedrooms with window seats.
bar was not very comfortable.
Lovely breakfast room and breakfast itself was very good.
Could not access Wi-Fi in bedroom. Breakfast menu would benefit from inclusion of porridge/oatmeal.
We loved the breakfast on both mornings. Top class, great choice, certainly not b&b fair, real 4star hotel grub. We ate there on Wednesday night, it was stunning. The best meal I have had in a long time. Not cheap, but excellent value for money.
Our bed was quite uncomfortable, it was creaky and there was alaways the feeling that it would collapse. We waited in reception the following morning, rang the bell 3 times and there was nobody to speak to. We rang later in the day and when we arrived back to the hotel, again there was nobody manning the reception. Kate spoke to us late that evening about changing rooms, at this stage it was so late and we were settled in the room again so we declined. In fairness she gave us a discount on the bill. the amazing food made up for the uncomfortable bed though!
Dinner is excellent and the breakfast was really lovely.
All staff so welcoming from the minute you arrive.food excellent. Room lovely and cosy.
First the excellent food, the charm of this little house and the housewife
Because the house seems to be a little older moving around in the night is a little noisy
Beautifully presented, very comfortable and an excellent location
The service was very slow- waiting to check in and out for a long time. I think this was as a result of the restaurant being very busy at the time. There is a need for a designated person to look after the reception/ hotel side of things
Pretty much everything. Comfortable, quiet, excellent food in the pub side and a good choice for breakfast. It was lapse to all the things we wanted to see and do.
Nothing not to like.
Room, with french doors leading to garden Food was superb Staff was professional and helpful Bed was comfortable Room was private and quiet
Room was a little cold, but the two duvets we had kept us plenty warm while sleeping.
Wild Honey Inn is a very nice place to stay; hospitable hosts and personnel, clean and atmospheric rooms, good food, a very good location when you want to see places like the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, the county Clare. We felt welcome.
We missed the opportunity to heat water for tea or coffee in the room and maybe a little bit of drinking water. The room was a bit too warm; no air condition. It was for the most part ok though.
Lovely country inn. Beautiful building and grounds. Very warm and welcoming. Superb food in the restaurant. 5 Star Quality. Highly recommended.
i wish i could have stayed longer...
I really liked our ground floor bedroom it was very well furnished. The French doors lead to a lovely small garden. The breakfast was a culinary delight!
The dinner menu was expensive. The food was very tasty but the portions were small and vegetables were extra.
The premises is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. We loved the bedroom with the door opening to a beautifully planted courtyard. The breakfasts were delicious and the dinner one of the best we have had in a while.
The dinner was a little expensive (although excellent)
The owners and staff were most welcoming and efficient. The food was delicious, beautifully served - perfect.
The location is fantastic, we enjoyed 3 glorious days of walking all Clare has to offer. The Wild Honey Inn has superb menus, with unforgettable choices of breakfast & dinners. Staff were exceptionally friendly. I will be visiting again!
Didn't know anything much about the place before we arrived and were very pleased with what we found. Nice room in lovely old house and a (most necessary!) comfortable bed. Great breakfast and simply delicious dinner. We were well looked after by helpful and friendly people, almost home from home!
Can't think of a thing, except perhaps would like tea/coffee making facility in bedroom for early morning.
