The staff were extremely friendly The room did NOT look like the picture. There was no hot water, there was no sink stopper (for boiled kettle water since no hot from tap) The shower a) was only a dribble, b) lukewarm and c) tiles were broken and 'dirty' looking. Bathroom door would not close fully. Windows could do with a clean. No phone in room. The breakfast was poor - bacon was way too salty and I was handed a cup for my tea but no saucer - and no, it wasn't a mug.

The bed was comfortable, the food in the bar area was great Couldn't have a shower, no hot water and I wasn't getting dressed again, going down five flights of stairs to the bar to complain at 10 at night. The toilet was leaking water on the floor. Fresh paint smell was sickening. Would never recommend to anyone or stay there again

Staff were friendly! It is in a poor state....we had to ask for towels, room was cold no heating. Shower dirty and in a very poor state and broken toilet. Hardly any hot water.... Kettle not working. No Wifi in hotel. Only in bar. It is not what it's advertised! We wanted to leave but it was late in the evening. After complaining they charged us 20€ less. Still it was a bad experience!

The room was filthy! Hair all over the bathroom, the floor looked like it had never been cleaned and the heat didn't work. Worst place I have ever stayed!! Steer clear of this property! I have photos to back up all comments!

Reasonably large room There was a fire in the middle of the night which meant not enjoying the stay at all. I'm guessing it isn't open any more so of course I won't recommend it to others.

Friendly staff, clean sheets, good bed, central, not expensive Smell of the bathroom very bad and strong Perhaps telling complaining would have helped me move, but at age 78 I was put into highest level, many stairs, not wanting to go down - but they did bring my baggage up with me. The hotel is on a nice pub, and yes, there was no noise up there

Location is great. It's above a lively pub, so easy access to drinks and food. Room was shabby. I stayed in room 6. No remote for TV, window would not close completely, no soap in bathroom. Otherwise, adequate and clean though. I did not stay for breakfast so can't comment on that.

We really enjoyed the breakfast in the bar - there was music playing, the atmosphere was relaxed, staff were friendly, there was a festive feel to it also. The room could have done with a dusting, and there was only one cup to make a cup of tea with, even though it was a family room. The lack of windows in the room might be offputting for some.

The staff are extremely friendly. They make the place very welcoming. Una's pies are very good and great value for money. Overall I would stay here again. I like the old fashioned feel to the place. The room didn't have a wardrobe which I found very strange. The bathroom also have a very bad smell, the sewers. The shower nosel was not attached to the wall therfoer you had to hold it which was annoying. The toilet seat was worn away and dirty. We didn't mind these things but I would see how people would have complained about it. Although I like the old fashioned feel to the place it could do with a face lift.

I booked the hotel for the night while on a business trip to Cork, instead of the Travelodge/Clarion type places I would usually stay in. My reason for this was to help support indigenous local business and also to attempt something new. I shall not be doing that again with that establishment. Faded decor, poorly equipped room with faulty wifi, leaking toilet and possibly the worst shower I can remember seeing since I was a student. Added to a terrible bed and distinctly offhand style of service (the only exception being the night porter, who at least attempted to solve the shower issue) meant a very bad experience. I'm not surprised that they take payment upfront. In short I would recommend assessing the hotels model and maybe making an attempt to change the issues mentioned above.

Nothing!I cannot understand how such a good site as booking would advertise such a place... It is NOT A HOTEL.It is a noisy, dirty and dodgy pub with rooms upstairs. The bedrooms are dirty and noise from pub and street is absolutely unbearable.Once the pub closes the night staff themselves make noise, party and shout in the smokers patio. The staff is rude and unprofessional. There is no way you can ever sleep in this place... Shame that Booking would advertise such a place...
