Staying at the windsor was the worst experience I have ever had,i hated it and would absolutely not recommend anyone to stay there. I can honestly say the windsor is truly appalling. It should not be classsified as a hotel because it is not.It is filty and dangerous.the beds are disgusting the carpets are vile,i just want to forget about the whole nasty experience our weekend was absolutely ruined.

the hotel was not as advertised , it was dirty and tacky and not worth the money, our bathroom did not even have a plug in the sink, the pictures in the hallway as on the web site no way reflected the room, cups and plates at the breakfast were dirty , and the staff were unhelpful, the room kettle was a travel kettel and was unsafe, to be blunt it was a dump and spoilt our weekend

The staff here are what made the stay enjoyable, and while accommodations were pretty poor, I'd come back purely for how helpful and delightful everyone was. The greatest part of the Inn is the adjacent bar, where the locals also visit, and they have delicious food! The atmosphere is wonderful. It's also very close to the bus station! The showers are a little dodgy (but hot and clean!) and the WiFi, while free, has a nonexistent signal. Hilariously, the tv in my room wasn't actually a working tv, but a computer monitor. Despite the quirks, the people really made this place worth it.

It is convenient for the railway station. Staff were friendly enough. Had a room on the top floor , many flights of steep stairs which visitors should be aware of. Real problem if you are not fit and young. Noisy drunken locals in the bar continuously, made it necessary to go out into town to eat on a wet evening. Whole place really loud. More a local drinking place rather than hotel. Locals back in bar drinking when we went to breakfast at 0830. Rooms really shabby and minimal facilities, windows screwed shut, worrying in event of a fire. No option at breakfast it was just dished up, would save waste if they asked what you would like first.

The hotel was good and clean , but some of the bar staff were not very polite or friendly, but the owner was a pure gentleman and deserves a better staff for a very busy bar.The barman who was on by day was a great and polite man and a pleasure to deal with also the girl who was his helper. This premises is a goldmine if the night staff were more interested in keeping their customers happy.

Windsor inn paid for my taxi to another Inn - since when I arrived they told me they had overbooked the hotel and given our room away. The fact that they gave away the room we reserved (we did not arrive late - we were there by 5pm) - and they gave the room away without contacting us ahead of time is simply poor business practice. Would have expected compensation - that was not offered for their mix up.

Above a traditional Irish pub with live local music, super friendly staff, excellent Irish breakfast. Amazing value for money and the location was conveniently located near the main bus station, and the town. It was an awesome Irish experience. One bar staff with dreadlocks was the only rude and unprofessional member.

we came here with the 3 kids for 2 nights. For the money, this is a good value stay in a great location for the city centre. The hotel is quirky and has character, including the bar and outdoor bit. The extra bed we requested was not in the room but the staff sorted this out. The breakfast was amazing, can't believe it was included in the price. I would definitely stay here again. my main issue was the cleanliness, it all looked fine, the bathroom was clean also. When we packed up to leave I was looking for something and pulled the beds and bedside table out, which clearly had not been done for a long time, food and debris behind. However up to that point blissfully ignorant!

Typical Irish pub and people - an enjoyable evening in a crowded but happy bar with music playing. Needed to park across the road in a car park that cost 10 euros which made the cost of the hotel booking that much dearer.

Reading some reviews after I had made the booking, I was almost tempted to cancel it, so I am glad I didn't. I choose this place for three reasons, location, beer and food, and I was well pleased with them. Location - 5-10 mins walk from the Main Bus station and Cork City center. Beer - Definitely should try their Murphy's Food - I was recommeneded to try the full Irish breakfast by the staff, and I would do the same to everyone! :) The staff are friendly, the room and showers are not the state of the art, but so is the price you are paying for them. For a good breakfast to start the day to explore the city, and a nice pint to end the night, Windsor Inn is the place to be. P.S. If you are a fussy traveller, this place is not for you.

From the very start we were welcomed with big smiles. We did arrive late (after check-in times) but there was no problem. It had a real homey/friendly vibe. Excellent value for money, the rooms were bright and well kept. The bar had live music and free internet throughout the inn. It was right in the center of the city a great location for shopping.

I booked this hotel before reading the reviews, and would not have done so had I read them first. That would have been a dreadful mistake as the whole experience was charming. The room was fresh and clean with crisp white sheets and the ensuite was perfect. Una's pies made a great dinner and the breakfast was as good as you would get anywhere. The staff were all helpful and friendly especially the beautiful girls Stacey and Leila and the music and craic in the pub was mighty. I have no idea what the people who write negative reviews expect from a budget hotel. I would recommend the Windsor to anyone I know There were a lot of stairs to climb. The catches for closing the windows were missing on 2 of the windows, but as I said to my wife "Who is going to break in on the fourth floor".
