We enjoyed the company at the pub downstairs. There was heating on the garden tables outside. The staff was not very friendly. It gave me the impression they wanted to get rid of me the soonest possible. There was no one in the reception desk for both the check in and check out. in the bathroom the soap was used. The water was boiled and there was no way you could get it to a lower scale. Breakfast was 10€ per person for just fried bacon, eggs, sausage and tomato. The toasts were overburned and the coffee was like mud. I found nothing that will make me visit this hotel once again nor recomend it to anyone else. |

Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the Bar/Restaurant was superb. Due to a local sporting event we paid 5 star money for a 2 star hotel. |

Quaint in a used fashion. Hotel has the potential with new staffing. Smoke eminating from the bar, wafted up the stairs, filling the corridor and rooms. The smoke along with the moldey shower were a turnoff. Adding in the old matresses, lack of warm blankets, used soap, no: tissues, shampoo, and conditioner, shows the cost cuitting measures established a desire to increase profit, even though the rates are still high for what you recieve. The facility could be beautiful, but the staff does not get it. The desk clerk was cold, and distant although efficient in getting the most out of the guests. Luggage help was minimalist, but willing to accept tips. The full breakfast was bad. The one egg was burned, one piece of ham-overcooked that is firm to the touch and dry, the only thing fried properly was the tomato, without garnish. The charge for the continental breakfasts was outrageous for toast, tea and cereal. Again the place has potential, but I'd fire the entire staff and start with a motivated and friendly crew. |

Myself and my family stayed last year and the hotel has deteriorated since then. The bathrooms were dirty, breakfast was terrible and some of the staff at reception were very rude. I was left waiting @ reception for my room key for 15 mins and when the lady finally came out of one of the function rooms with her cup of coffee she was very rude and made me feel like i was a huge inconvenience. The only good thing the hotel has going for it was the bar staff who couldn't do enough for us. I will not return to this hotel again and neither will any of my family. |

The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The bar manager was especially helpful and helped us with directions by checking out the flooding situation in the area we had to travel to. We could not fault the standard of service at this hotel - it was exceptional. We travelled as a family group booking rooms 301 302 and 303 from the 4th to the 6th December 2009. The rooms were clean and spacious with each having a single bed and a double bed. The bathrooms were clean and functional, Rooms were warm and cosy.. Breakfasts were fine and meals were good too. There were parties in the toom beneath our bedrooms so some music noise. We paid !!8 euros per room for 2 nights bed with breakfast. We will use this hotel again For the price paid we could not fault this hotel. Our only adverse comment is that the rooms were used by smokers and we would have preferred non smoking rooms. |

Was a 20min walk into town and was very cheap as we had to change our weekend due to flooding in Ireland. Hotel staff were only just polite, not friendly or helpful only just acceptable. Bathroom was dirty with black mould growing inbetween some tiles, shower was scalding hot and very hard to get any colder. Overall I would not stay in this hotel again and was glad we only stayed there one night |

I found the staff friendly and efficient. The overall ambience of the place was welcoming and the bar has a very large local community involvement which is quite relaxing. Location to city attractions and countryside is excellent. I will stay there again when I visit Limerick. |

Very friendly and helpful staff - hotel run in conjunction with the pub. Good character, near enough to Limerick (15 min walk) and Thomond and great value. Breakfast in the morning was good value and served later than most hotels. Clean and convenient to stay - and friendly. Older hotel so not modern or plush but for the price very good. |

Very nice location, within walking distance of Limerick and very close to the airport. Wonderful public spaces - inside as well as a very nice outdoor patio/beer garden. Would recommend this as a great value, with affordable and proper rates. |
