On the picturesque seafront with beautiful views out over the Irish Sea, The Martello Hotel offers hotel rooms or self-catering apartments.
Score from 282 reviews Very good
There was no bedside locker or reading light on the second side of double bed and the radiator was too close to the same side of double bed 2 beds in room could be rearranged to sort out the problem as we saw it
Airport bus stop very close to hotel, bus every hour
Paid for a double room and got a family room with bunk beds, very dated and no water for shower, hair dryer not working and broken bedside lamp which glass broken.
Staff were very friendly and efficient
Quality of the bathroom very poor, cracked tiles, peeling paint, rusty shower rail, dirty grout, chipped bath
Location is great. Very friendly staff. Excellent hotel.
Excellent spacious room with everything in working order. Excellent breakfast as usual at this hotel. My wife received a very good personal welcome from lovely Polish girl Michelle in the breakfast room. She is very nice. All the staff are friendly and helpful.
Nice friendly staff, good food, very comfortable room and bed.
Reception area needs to be separated from the bar/dining area as there was a cold breeze coming in the front door every time someone came through it.
Room Size Location of hotel and parking Possibility to have snacks and bar service Amazing breakfast Quality of the bed
Rooms and bath room need to be refurbished Breakfast is fantastic - could do a better job cleaning the breakfast area - felt like a canteen
Location Staff Food General appearance of hotel Breakfast
Wifi was terrible The window in the room didn't close properly but the room was lovely and warm
Location point is handy for all directions. 20 minutes and your in Dublin.
Have been staying at this hotel for the past 5 years on numerous occassions. Seats in reception area have collapsed and stained with wear. Make sure all valuables are removed from room as no safes available. Still waiting to hear from management about money that was missing from room. Items on menu limited.
Just about everything was great - very comfortable, staff friendly and helpful,
Lack of room thermostat control - room was alternately too hot or too cold, like most Irish hotels.
Such friendly staff and so helpful with things to do in the area. Let me print a few things off which was so helpful! We honestly couldn't have asked for anything more! Such a fantastic hotel in such a cool part of ireland!
Location suited us as we wanted to get into Dublin the next day
The actual premises ie lobby, staircase, dining area were not very clean (and I didn't really mind Christmas decorations all over the floor) The TV was SO tiny and we had to plug in the aerial (bumping our heads on the bunk beds!)
Staff are all very helpful & cheerful. Lovely quiet hotel
Lack of vegetarian options for dinner
The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and fresh looking. It's situated very close to the town on a main road but is surprisingly quiet & secluded feeling. We had a lovely time
The menu is quite limited for vegetarians. The tv signal was intermittent.
I was looking for a night's stay in Bray. This was the only hotel available. I booked it for €90 for two people including breakfast. The breakfast was good. Wifi was decent. The staff were helpful.
The rooms are tiny. I had asked for a top floor which was provided but the slanted roof made the room tiny. Aslo I got a 4 bed family room which further reduced the size of the room due to the bunker bed. The toilet seem unclean. There were toilet stains on the floor near the commode. The shower was terrible-- every other minute it would turn off and turn on the bath tap. The room was not worth €90.
very stale baggle at breakfast. other excellent ,
Very nice hotel to have a short break. You will definitely need a Car to be able to visit various of magnificant sites around the area. The staff is very helpful and should be greatly appreciated! One of the nice hotel stays without no headaches - you need anything, staff will without any difficulty assist you!! Coming back!
Nice clean warm hotel, ideally situated for our needs due to work.
Showers could do with attention as they were either hot or cold, only complaint.
I liked everything about this hotel. The breakfast there in unreal and the staff are so nice and helpful. I stayed for 3 nights and my room got cleaned every day. It's my second time here this year and not one bad thing to say about it. Can't wait to get there again.
Hotel very convenient, situated just off the N11,with easy access to Dublin and the Wicklow mountains"perfect for people on business or Holidays
Not Having more time to spend in Wicklow.
No sockets near bed also lighting in room was a j
food was great and the young girl who served us was very good, breakfeast was also great
romms were shabby ,no dvd player in family room, curtains were falling down by fixing these simple things it would make a big difference
This hotel is good value and close to Bray town from where we took train into Dublin on two days.We found rooms to be clean and had a great choice for breakfast. This was our second stay at this hotel in recent months.Staff are friendly and helpful.
A few places in hotel could do with a freshen up.A coat of paint or a corner of wallpaper stuck down would help a lot
The Beds, clean beautiful bedding. A nice spot on the edge of Bray.
Halls, Carpets, grubby, tired. Soap dispenser for Bath, ridiculously high on wall making its use from the bath dangerous. Having to stand up in bath to get soap, slip hazzard potential not good.
