Stay was to meet up with family who live in Waterford, location was perfect for this,The barfood served was of the highest quality and the barman on the evening of our stay was a credit to the hotel. Have stayed here before and it would appear that whilst it is a very nice hotel it could do with freshening up.

The room was very spacious and the couch in the room was a great touch though it was stained. The shower had no water pressure and wasn't very hot. The pillows were quite hard.

I liked the Hotel as it was a nice family hotel that had a nice pool & felt comfortable . Some of the staff were friendly & very helpful & there was plenty of parking . The food in this Hotel is absolutely shocking , I have never had such terrible food in my life . I had chicken wings & they were putrid & also I had a burger & that was like eating chalk . My partner had asked for a penne pasta in a tomatoe based sauce with no cheese but it came out with cheese so it had to be sent back . Then the replacement meal was shameful , It was a jar of pulsated tomatoe heated & thrown over the pasta (Not Eaten). Then when we got our cutlery one of the sets were dirty . When we said this to the bar staff he shook his head & went to get more cutlery as if it was our fault . Also when we were checking out & handing back the key card for the room the receptionist said we owed 20 euro for breakfast that morning but we never had breakfast & she says oh ok ill sort that out . So she never apolagised or thanked us for staying . This hotel is nice for Children & easy going but it seems to be the same comments coming from every one . food & customer service . There is alot of value out there in hotels & they need to try harder if they are going to survive & that would be a shame as it has every thing going for it & can easliy right its wrongs .

Excellent value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful main reason I would stay again. We didnt eat there as we had plans made to eat in the city with other friends. Swimming pool facilities were fantastic especailly considering the price. Need a taxi into the city at night €10 max. Rooms were spotless. Only thing was the pillows were very hard but thats just a personal thing with me my friends did not mind.

Nice big room, very clean. Good facilities, friendly staff The temperature of the 1st floor corridor was far too hot. The room was also too warm but once we turned off the radiator and opened the window it was fine.

I thought the Leisure Centre was excellent. Everything worked. The temperature in steam room and pool were just right and Pat the leisure attendant was nice, friendly and professional. Clean facility. I asked for a quiet room and I got a room under a generator or Pool Plant. The food in bar was very disappointing on my second night. The fish was not fresh but a cheap frozen type and overcooked. You are charging restaurant prices for just all right bar food. The dessert I requested was not there and when I ordered another it came straight out of a cold room and the custard was cold. Then they said the coffee machine was broken!!!!!! I don't think it is too much to ask a Hotel for coffee. I liked the hotel and would stay again but only because of the leisure centre. I would probably try to eat outside again.

Two of the bar staff were very nice, but that is about the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Rooms are very noisy, between the noise of fans from the kitchen, moving tables and chairs in the pub and the local kids using the bins a drums and traffice noise, what was meant to be a relaxing couple of day was in fact not, even had to send back one dinner on the second night. Would not recommend a stay at this hotel.

Heating has lots of air locks and is noisy and radiator did not heat up very well (room 212). Bar food is all very un-healthy apart from chicken ceasar salad (starter). Room smells very strongly of cigarettes. I was there for 2 nights and don;t think I will stay there again even though I have to be in Waterfored quite a lot over the next 2 months. So looking for somewhere better than this.

We stayed at Woodlands Hotel & Leisure Centre over the October Bank Holiday Weekend. There were four of us. Two Adults and Two Children. We were welcomed by a very friendly Receptionist who looked after us and got us to our room. The Room was spacious very comfortable and cleaned on a daily basis. The Bar,Catering and Service Staff were all very friendly and helpful and catered for our every need. The Food was very good and the menu had a good selection that catered for everyones needs. The Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre Facilities were first Class well maintained and all were included in the Room Price. We chose the Woodlands for two main reasons firstly the price was excellent value for money and secondly the Location. We wanted somewhere that was outside of the City but was close from the point of view of Shopping. The Woodlands Hotel & Leisure Centre was perfect for our October Bank Holiday Break and I would have no hesitation in returning there in the future or in recommending it to others. If there were anything to complain about it was on a positive note. We found that the Room was to warm and the heating in general in the Hotel could have been a few degrees lower. This is not a complaint as I appreciate that you are trying to cater for everyones needs.
