the food was good and it was a relatively nice hotel.
no sky sports.Ourselves and several other guests had to walk to town for this. 45 minute Que to check out (one receptionist. not good enough!)
Big open fires
Beside beach views were a must see
Wasn't bad had a good time staff was first class hotel was very nice would stay again pool and gym first class just no hot water for a shower on first night food ok wifi not great and was turned off on one off the nights
Lovely hotel; room was nice and warm, breakfast was great and staff really friendly, all in a nice stay.
The area surrounding the hotel is very very quiet! 20 euros for a taxi just in to town which is ten minutes away, so 40 for return fare :/ no cafes or anything to call in for a snack or a cuppa, which was a little disappointing, however still enjoyed our stay.
Comfy bed, big rooms and very quiet
Just very dated in general, old carpets and furniture
Staff /lady on reception very good and very helpful
Bed was comfortable and the staff were very nice. The breakfast was adequate.
The hotel was a bit nippy, but my room was warm enough.I had a dodgy and noisy light in the room and an alarm in the room that went off at midnight, just as I had fallen asleep. The leisure centre staff informed me on both evenings I would need to be out in 10 minutes, in spite of it being advertised for being open for another half hour...felt rushed then and jacuzzi was closed over-the thing I had been looking forward to all day, given my room had no bath in.
The room was a bit cold.
Staff were very helpful and the room was clean with fantastic views.
The building is a bit dated. Leaks and rot can be seen in the hallways.
Staff and value for money
Only fault was with Booking.com. I thought I was booking bed and breakfast and found when I got there it was bed only. There was obviously a box I should have ticked but didnt see
The hotel is in the most beautiful location by the sea, wonderfully decorated, with lovely cosy comfortable sofas. My huge room had a nice sea view with very comfortable beds, nice and quiet by night. Good leisure centre with nice pool. The staff were nice.
Comfortable room. Well equipped gym, stunning location, nice and quiet by night.
A couple of spots in the hotel need a little TLC, but the room was very comfortable so not really an issue.
The hotel was set in a stunning location with a couple of good restaurants nearby and a very close drive to sligo centre for good shopping. The hotel was clean and had a lovely pool.
The hotel was mostly empty and the staff were quiet and less welcoming than other hotels that we stayed at during our trip. This combined with building work going on throughout the day on the ground floor made for a less than perfect stay which is sad as we had stayed here before and loved it so much that we returned, but the spark that the hotel once had has now gone.
The leisure facilities (swimming pool etc) friendly staff.family friendly.
Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special I can't wait to return
I liked the Leisure Centre
I thought we could have received a higher customer service, no-one asked if we were ok during our stay
Location of the hotel and the views from the room were great. The open log fire was a welcome treat when coming in from the rain!
There was no music in the lounge area whilst sitting and enjoying drinks and the open log fire and the staff were not particularly welcoming and fiendly throughout our stay.
A very nice location by the sea. My room had a nice sea view. Good food, friendly staff. Comfortable + spacious.
It would be really great if they could add a few internet kiosks.
Staff totally unfriendly Bar food disgusting Old rooms Old swimming pool
Food very poor
Very close proximity to the beach, large rooms with very comfortable beds
Very family orientated during public holidays - the leisure centre was very busy
The setting for the hotel was excellent. I imagine being there in summer would be beautiful. Relaxing and enjoyable. Local hourly bus to take you to Sligo
No negatives to add.
Location, location.. Reception and the welcome. Nice bar. Health club great.
The room was rather bland and cold. Temp fine just the decor and furnishings.
