Good central location. Great staff. They really try to create an experience. Excellent transportation options. Nice tour guides connected with hostel.
The parking lot--separately owned next door--leaves something to be desired.
- Rooftop - Daily events (for example Pub Quiz, Barbecue, cinema evening,...) - Nice places to chill out - Breakfast - Kitchen
- We´ve travelled a lot, but we´ve never met such an unfriendly staff (especially Nathalie the "manager" was very, very rude!!!!) and we were not the only ones who complained about them!
As a hostel, it's of good vale price. I enjoy my stay there: the lobby, the group travel organized, the breakfast and etc.
The female dormitory is good however the mixed dormitory is on the underground floor and is a little bit smelly.
Abraham Hostel was really great. During my stay there, they always organized something nice on the roof top, which pretty specially for people traveling alone, as I did. The coolest thing is that they offer you guided tours in Israel with a certain discount. I would definitely come back if I would have to return back in Jerusalem.
Most staff were friendly and socially competent, great price, good location, Shabbat dinner is a must if you study here, and big social area.
Some staff members need to improve customer service skills or not work in the service/hospitality industry, they should prepare a breakfast for tours that leave before breakfast hours, and some tours were on the high end and canceled because of low number (actually, I travelled alone and it turned out better).
Very nice hostel. 10min away from the Old city and 5 to the market area, very cool place to hang out at night. The facilities were very good. You've got free WiFi, free pool table, darts, breakfast (standard), etc... We stayed on the Family room that consists on 2 bunk beds. We got an extra bed to accomodate a friend at no extra cost. Beds are comfortable for hostel's standards and the airco was very much appreciated! The staff is very helpful. They recommended us to do the Old City Free Tour. Totally worth it.
Everything was just brilliant.
The staff are helpful & friendly.
Apparently the best Hostel in near east- probably is! Make sure to go on the free city tour rather than to explore it on your own!
The atmosphere at the hostel was great and it looked good too
Our bathroom was kind of dirty and the pillows smelly
The hostel is right on the tram line and minutes from the large market, with a mini fridge in the private room I could get fruit and yoghurt to eat before very early tour departures. The staff is efficient and their tour I used was great
I am in my 50s, I did see a few older guests. It was very noisy, both from the busy street and the younger clients. Lots going on...
I liked the atmosphere in the hostel. The entertainment provided was very good. The roof top terrace was a bonus this visit as previously it wasn't furnished as well as it is now. The BBQ on the roof top is an excellent idea of making the most of the lovely weather
Help with Sherot taxi van.
Some people partyied two of ten nights in the neighborhood.
Very good staff and friendly Efficient group
Breakfast should start earlier
Cold water in reception!
Porblems with arranging Kibutz private tour.
I loved the environment in the hostel. It's really democratic and very friendly. The location is superb. The breakfast is absolutely ok, but please keep in mind that they serve Irael breakfast which mainly includes dairy products, cucumbers/tomatoes, toasts, eggs and fruits. You won't se any sausage/meat of any kind. They have a coffee machine so you can easily wake up in the morning with the help of a good coffee :). You can also cook what you need in the kitchen there. We were 4 so I booked a room for 4 which made us feel cosy. The room is spacious with a private bathroom, small room with a table where you can sit and talk or eat together. The staff is friendly, open and helpful. There were people of different age categories and all felt comfortable. The market works on Mondays for sure - it's just some blocks from the hostel. There is also a bookstore nearby. All necessary sites are reachable. In order to get to the hostel from the airport you need to take a bus right outside the airport and say a driver the name of the hostel. It will take about 40 min or so to get there and costs about $40 per person if I remember right. Be aware that the weather in Jerusalem is about 10 degrees lowerr than in Tel Aviv. If I go to the country again I will definitely stay there because there is no sense to pay ridiculous prices for the hotel if you use it only for a sleep at night. This place is a perfect place to stay if you're away all day on excursions which is the case in the majority instances. They also offer free excursions around the old city and the number of other excursions, so it makes sense to get in touch with them to request some info on such. Thanks to the hostel staff indeed!
Nothing really. Maybe wifi could be better, but it was acceptable.
Nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
A little bit too for from Old Town.
Friendly and helpful staff and guests.
Location, friendly staff and facilities.
Very nice breakfast and great tours. Overall, good organization & location in Jerusalem.
nice hostel flair, staff is very nice, breakfast buffet is great, absolutely great offer for the price and location. i will book it again. great tour offers.
would be good, if the breakfast would be a bit earlier!
Opportunity to mix with other guests. Friendliness of staff.
Reasonable location between Central Bus Station / Old Jerusalem, all these nearby tram line. Also walkable distance to restaurants, marketplace etc.
The friendliness of staff and guests. Enjoyed communal lounge-kitchen bar area. And good breakfast.
