The location was pretty good, and it was cheaper than it's neighbours, although we actually found some better placed and priced options once we were there. There was also a lot of space in our suite. The staff were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. The decor was outdated and pretty disgusting in places. The bathroom was falling to bits and the bath was not working (they refused to give us a plug because they said they had faulty plugs). Service without a smile!

Rooms very spacious, breakfast buffet was ok (typical israeli breakfast with hummus and various other spreads, yoghurt, vegetables, bread, eggs). The hotels interior is in need of a general refurbishment and seems outdated. On the other hand, this might be appealing some though because it has an Arabic flair and one can tell it used to be a beautiful place to stay. Staff was rather unfriendly or too busy talking on the phone instead of attending current guests.

It was shabby, old and most disturbingly not clean. We found a used condom in our room and the bathroom was not cleaned (poop stains in the toilet), it also didn't have toilet paper when we arrived.

Location and value for money (got a discounted price - doubt I'd pay full price). The mass of collected hair around the bath plughole was gross. That said (despite lousy reviews to the contrary), the rest was clean. Having to wait 40 minutes for the room to be prepared when we tried to check in at around 4pm (16.00).

Close to the tram and sightseeing spaces. Spacious rooms. The receptionist we met upon check-in was extremely unhelpful, didn't want to change our booking so that we save the vat (although one of us was a foreigner who wouldn't have had to pay it). He didn't mention wifi or breakfast, every question had to be asked separately. City maps available only in Russian. Youth hostel quality breakfast that wouldn't even reach a 3 star hotel'S. Supposedly 4 star, in reality 2 star hotel.

Very clean, good breakfast, close to the old city and central Jerusalem- no more than 20 minutes to each place It was November but still very hot, the air conditioning was non-existent as far as cooling was concerned. The address on Booking.com was on Saint George, that's the rear entrance (more exit than entrance) the real address is on Nablus Road

The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful - especially Mahmoud that served us breakfast. He went out of his way to be friendly as well as professional and to make our stay there memorable - thank you Mahmoud! The location is good as it is within walking distance from Damascus Gate and very quiet. It is also situated very close to the train lines which simplifies traveling. The Wifi worked without problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay.

The room was pretty niceand there was jaccuzi in the bathroom. The night shift receptionist, in contrary to the day time one, was absolutely lovely ;) I was not impressed with the day time receptionist, Ibrahim. He was rude, seemed to ignore us and made us wait for check in, even though there were no other guests and it was well passed check in time. He was not helpful and informative either.

There were a couple of very polite employees. But these were just making the rest of the staff look even more rude .... The free parking become unavailable as there were no more places... But according to the concierge 20$ extra could ...generate some free space for us !!!!!! Ripe-off The facilities were old and poorly maintained and cleanness was not that obvious. The aircondioning was not working so we had trouble sleeping at night. Toilet half broken. Breakfast poor and if u asked for a coffee (apart form the american one) u had to pay. They woke up us at 8.45 in the morning to do the room, and as we asked them to come later, they never did the room!!!!!

Several staff memebers were helpful. The rooms were spacious. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in as far as the physical condition and facilities. We can't believe that it was rated a 4 star hotel. The airconditioner never cooled the room and sleeping was difficult. The electrical fuse blew at least twice. The wireless connection didn't work and we had to go next door. The ceilings were crumbling and light wires hanging exposed. I have stayed in hotels around the world and this was possibly the most disappointing.
