Location is great.
Odor from the bathroom. Seems the toilet can never be thoroughly flushed.
Excellent kitchenette facilities and plenty of complimentary tea/coffee
Ok I made the mistake of trying to check in on the Sabbath but found a locked door and no contact details- only discovered later that I had received an email from the manager an hour before arrival explains how to open the door and which room was mine After staying at a different hotel the first night they honored my two-night booking but gave me a dingy room with no sunlight. When I asked for a transfer to a more expensive room and offered to pay the difference, was told that a room was available but needed cleaning. However when I offered to wait the availability of the other room mysteriously vanished Overall left very dissatisfied
it was dirty
Location, facilities, value, all very good. The problem was we showed up after an overnight flight, no sleep, at noon. They said our room would be ready by 2. Not ideal, but we killed some time, which was hard because of no sleep and freezing rain/sleet outside. Room was not ready until 4. Spending 4 hours killing time outside in freezing rain after not sleeping for 20 hours? Not cool.
Exellent location, nice price, wi-fi, kitchen zone.
Very spacious and nice balcony. Due to exeptional weather condition (snow and cold) we had to spend more time in the hotel than expected, which makes the friendly staff that watched after its guest more appreciated.
Odd smell in bathroom which has no aeration. Door to balcony is not closing tight so that wind and cold enters the room.
Location is good, central, walkable to old city. Not a real hotel, just rented rooms. Don't expect any luxury.
Sheets and mugs were not clean.
Perfect location, can't be better-close to tram line, to old city.
Room 102 windows face inner yard and it was VERY noisy during night- even with ear plugs you can hear noisy ventilation from neighbours. Very small shower cabin - some 70 x 70cm with old fashioned curtain that sticks to your body during shower. One cup and one wine glass for double room
Staff person Amelia very helpful and accommodating but staff only on site in the daytime. Very responsive to email and phone communications. Rooms very spacious with everything we needed. Location fantastic with only a short walk to the old city gates. Only a step away from restaurants and shops.
Place is not overtly dirty but does not feel particularly clean with loose floor tiles and mold in the shower. Musty smell which gets better when the a/c on. Initially given a room on the second floor which was totally unacceptable, Felt as if I was in a slum with noisy tenants and scary loft. My room was changed the next day after a call to the owner so review is based upon first floor room. First floor is actually one flight up. No elevator.
Good location Nearby traditional market Economic able to make breakfasts
No staff at night Need e-mail before in case of late check in Some rooms are renovating so odor of paints.
very good location. clean and nice...
position refrigrerator wi fi
no reception, only few hours in the day very noisy the road in the room the tent does not cover the window
Staff was friendly, attentive, professional. Even though I was there on a holiday, they were responsive to a repair issue I had. Cute building, comfortable room, central location.
We enjoyed the siZe of the room, good bed, clean hotel.
The noise from the street, you can hear it very well...
The room was clean and big. The location in central to everything Ben Yehuda Market, Yaffo Street, and the Old City. There is an amazing night life below, but the windows block out the noise when you go to bed. The staff here was very friendly. The room is economical and while not new construction, was definitely a nice comfortable room.
I can't think of a thing. I will definitely stay here again.
We liked the location . the Owner and the staff very nice and helpful. We enjoyed staying in the Alon Hotel. The room was big and clean.
There were fleas on the bed
Very good location in the centre of Jerusalem, about 10 min walk to the old city and Jaffa gate (entrance to the western wall and Temple Mount). Clean and nice room with good wifi, small balcony and a small kitchen (perfect if one wishes to make some own food)
Nothing to complain about
Noise on the street and in the hotel
Great location, walking distance from the Old City and Mahaneh Yehuda market; clean and big room, well equipped kitchen; helpful staff.
The bed was not comfortable; the air conditioner was very noisy and the street was very busy up to the very late night hours.
We lived in a private room with tv and toilet, it's a good point for us. And there is McDonald in front of the hotel, it really helped us on Saturday!
The balcony is not that clean. And the kettle was full of dirt.
Room opposite madonalds and very bright street lights with very light urtains. Was like daylight and couldn't sleep. Towels very thin and kitchen utensils very sparse.
Staff was very helpful, polite and professional. Room was very spacious.
Got there too late so couldn't find out the wifi password, and pillow was covered in someone else's hair.
value, location, size of room
Great customer service. Big thanks to all of the hotel staff as they were very friendly and helpful in accomodating us during this stay. Room was very spacious, especially in comparison to a lot of European hotels. An iron was provided to us upon request (iron is a rarity for a lot of hotels outside of US). Having a refrigerator, sink, and a stove was a great plus, as breakfast is not provided in this hotel.
