- Very kind staff, especially Dana in reception. - All recommendations were spot on, - Liked the style of the hotel - It smelled nice in rooms and lobby - Breakfast ok if you like healthy food - Wi fi worked very well !!!
- it seems that as hotel is rather expensive generally older people stayed there, but it was ok.
Ambience of the Arthur was great; from the furnishings and photographs, the lovely breakfasts to the fragrant smell in the bedroom Great location from which to explore Jerusalem
Central location Nearly all sights including Old City in walking distance
Earplugs needed for sleep as the noise from the bars around goes on all night
Comfortable rooms original and tastefully designed- homely 'boutique' good breakfast and appreciated the 'happy hour' afternoon snacks Friendly front desk location is excellent We had a wonderful stay
bathroom a little small
Locality Staff Breakfasts Happy hour
There was nothing we didn't like there. Apart from having to leave!
- courteous staff - cozy bed - delicious breakfast
The staff were super friendly. Great breakfast. We ate superbly in the restaurant which had a really buzzing atmosphere.
This is a combined review of both the Arthur and the Harmony Hotels. These are warm, friendly, and helpful places to stay. The Arthur story begins with our arrival in Jerusalem without baggage. Tal, at the desk, immediately understood our plight and provided the toothbrush and toothpaste kit. More importantly, she directed us to a department store so that we could begin the process of getting a change of clothing. Both Tal, in the evening, and Yasmin, during the day became like old friends, as they checked routinely with the “lost baggage” service. The Arthur is a very homey place to be, just off of Ben Yehuda St. It is near shops and restaurants. The breakfasts are not as lavish as the big hotels but very nice and more than adequate. The afternoon wine and cake/fruit/sandwiches was a treat. The rooms are modern, well equipped and maintained. On day 2 of our stay, Yasmin advised us that breakfast and afternoon treats would only be served at the Harmony because of a low occupancy/cancellations at the Arthur do to the military situation. Not wishing to do the 3-block round trip each morning and afternoon, we asked if we could move to the Harmony. Yasmin suggested that we check out the rooms and they would move us over. Enter the Harmony that is in the process of some main floor reconstruction, we checked out the rooms. We met with Ayala, the Genl. Mgr. and asked about a complementary upgrade to a suite. After a little bit of discussion, she agreed and we checked out those rooms. Finally, she asked if we would like to see the “sample suite” that was already constructed to show off what the completed renovation would look like. It was lovely and we took it for the remaining 7 days of our stay. There was the same high level of care and service: Hagop during the days and Tanya at night both continually checking for lost baggage.
First stay in Boutique hotel and decor was stylish and lovely, room good size with fridge a bonus. Friendly staff. Superb location for new city and old city only 20 mins walk or 5 min tram ride. Excellent free happy hour and breakfast good.
Breakfast and Happy Hour were in sister hotel - The Harmony. Only 90 second walk, but might put off some. Also whilst priced in dollars charged in shekels, at their conversion rate, although this isn't unusual
Location is perfect.
Rooms too small.
Location was brilliant Staff were really helpful It was a delicious breakfast and the 5 o'clock drinks and buffet was a great bonus...
Incredible location: great breakfast and outdoor patio: fabulous bathroom (tho small) very helpful staff;
Actual room was very small
We had a wonderful experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, well apportioned and very clean. From the hotel we were able to easily walk to the old city and catch the light rail to other locations. The location is very vibrant with many restaurants, shops, and stores.
In the heart of the city where old meets new, so within easy walking distance of the Old City, shops and restaurants, and the excellent Jaffa Rd tram system. Free parking in sister hotel car-park with easy transfer by golf buggy (!). Elegant 'happy hour' complimentary drinks and snacks every day (except Saturday). Extremely helpful and professional staff - nothing was too much trouble.
Room was quite small, not helped by a structural pillar in the middle. Bathroom was also a bit of a tight squeeze. And we weren't told there was no 'happy hour' on Saturdays! Otherwise this was a great city centre hotel.
Great Location and very comfortable rooms.
Breakfast is amazing... So many choices and kept changing daily.
We were put in a tiny room first night. Second night moved into a bigger room with a bigger bath.
