NICE PEOPLE COMFORTABLE ROOM LOVED THE HOT TUB DELICIOUS BREAKFAST GOOD LOCATION
When I arrived I received the kind of warm friendly and caring welcome that all visitors wished for and this was the same throughout my 5 day stay. They really cared that I was at home and if there was an issue, they really wanted to know. The family have put great effort into creating and constantly maintaining the place. From the perfect Israeli breakfast to the lovely grounds and the fascinating view where fine wines are made. I felt truly comfortable, looked after and safe. The room was nice and comfortable, I felt very at home. Whether it was the superb shower with high up spray head that had lots of power, throw pillows on the bed and the other nice comforts. An added bonus was the kind of people who stay here, the country does have somewhat of a reputation for pushy and loud people, visitors to the country can find these traits hard to deal with. However this hotel has attracted more mild mannered and quieter professionals which mitigated this problem. There is the faint smell of manure from the surrounding areas as this is the countryside where there is agricultural activities, after a short while though one is not able to notice it. This is like in cities where there is the smell, noise and toxins of urban pollution and I know which I prefer. Barbakfar hotel is my first choice when being in the area, I will be returning and have no desire to look elsewhere.
food location lodging owners wine! wine! vineyards knowledge of area
It was our second stay there. We knew what to expect and we did not make a mistake. We liked everything - the quite, cosy and pastoral atmosphere, the attention, the freshest food in huge quantities, the view on the Mount Tavor, the olive groves and grapes next to the place, the opportunity to have a swim in the open pool after day trips. We found it very convenient to choose the place for our visit to the North of Israel. We spent there 4 nights and managed to see quite a number of interesting places in Galilee and the Golan Heights.
Wonderfully charming, helpful and friendly family/staff. Spectacular views in a peaceful, rural setting. Delicious breakfast and wine produced on site. Cabins have good air con, rain shower/bath, satellite tv and great spa bath in the private garden. Good location for exploring Lower Galilee and Nazareth.
Lack of cooking facilities and equipment in the 2 person cabin (for a bed and breakfast place in a countryside location) although there are several barbecues if or guest use in the garden. Limited space at the pool when being used by other guests. Nothing to deter returning again in the future!
Outstanding place. Very nice family who runs the B and B. breakfasts were excellent. They make very nice wine.
We liked the beautiful setting in the vineyard, the cordial staff, the private hot tub on our cabin porch, and the wonderful breakfast.
There was nothing we did not like.
- Host Juval is very kind and gives a lot of information about his country if one is interested! - Lovely, quiet setting
- Bathroom is really tiny and could be renewed...
Beautiful facility with an amazing staff. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. A great value and wonderful stay.
From the minute we pulled up, it was clear that we were going to love our stay. Everything was wonderfully appointed and set up – a lot of thought has gone into the layout and feel of both the common areas and the rooms – so that this little oasis on a vineyard feels like a true haven. Yotam and Yuval were amazingly welcoming and helpful (with tips to the best hummus we had in Israel) and the breakfast was all homemade and fresh and beautiful. We couldn't have had a better time; the only downside was that we'd booked for only one night.
- the owners are the nicest people, they do everything to make you feel welcome and will help you with any question! -Our appartment was very clean and filled with lots of lovingly made details - The area is a haven of peace! It is so calm and peaceful, you will forget any stress. - It is the perfect place to start to take trips to the Golan Hights, you should have a rental car though - It truly was the nicest place we stayed during the whole vacations!
The location not far from the Sea of Galilee and set amongst vineyards was beautiful and easily accessible from wherever you might be travelling. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and far more food than we could possibly think about eating, it kept us going all day! The staff were incredibly friendly and recommended restaurants for us both nights that we stayed, and even booked for us as we didnt have an Israeli mobile number.
Nothing...it was a great break in our trip between the hustle and bustle of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem
Our two hosts Yvan & Utan were brilliant. This rate as probably the best accomodation I have stayed at.Jacuzzi ,swimming pool ,delightful breakfast ,beautiful surroundings
Relaxing location on a farm in easy driving distance of Tiberias, Nazareth and the Jordan Valley. Delicious homemade breakfasts and leisurely evenings in the pool and / or jacuzzi were great ways of starting and ending 6 days touring around Galilee.
Great location! We give a 10 plus voor this great location. A pearl in the north of Israël.
location is stunning, the breakfast superb.very kindly staff. try the red wine!
Difficult to find. Farm animals nearby can cause an odour gates locked at ten pm need the host to open the gates. They were accomodating but something to keep in mind.
They say Danish people are the happiest people in the world. Well, it’s been a long time since we felt as happy as we did staying with Yuval and his family at Barbakfar - and we’re usually pretty happy at home even compared to Danish people;-) Excellent wine from the family winery, amazing breakfast cooked solely with local commodities, beautiful views, wonderful rooms and a great location for exploring the northern part of the country in one-day trips. Don’t miss the sunset from near by Mount Tabor (/Tavor) and most importantly: don’t miss the interesting and enlightening talks with the family.
Our host, Yuval, did whatever he possibly could to enhance our stay. Excellent breakfast, excellent boutique wines made on site (drinking them with breakfast is up to the individual).
Location is out of the way, down a rough road, but it sure is quiet.
One of the best hotels we've ever been! Gorgeous location amidst own vineyard, very friendly host, incredible private jacuzzi, perfect breakfast with all self-made ingredients. Love to come back soon and tell all our friends!
A really good breakfast eaten on the balcony with bird song and a lovely view. Very quiet and the accommodation was enormous - almost like a bungalow to ourselves and with a large spa bath included inside. Very helpful and friendly host. To be recommended
Not a lot!
Great hosts, delicious breakfast and terrific room!
The host was great (sorry I forgot his name). Fresh cookies and complimentary wine were indicative of the thoughtfulness of the staff. The breakfast spoiled us for any other breakfast anywhere else on our journeys. Thanks for a great stay guys
Booking.com is not very clear on how many could stay in a room. 5 of us could have fit in the family room but due to a lack of clarity on the site, we booked 2 rooms :( and
especially the hosts, their taste, attitude and patience
tha steps ( only 2 ) in our room
Barbakfar's grounds are beautiful, set in Israel's north with views of mountains and bar bakfar's vineyards. Gorgeous and so relaxing. The breakfast is incredible--fresh baked breads, homemade spreads, fruit picked from the yard, fresh lemonade--truly fun and delicious. From the grounds it is an easy drive to northern sites such as tiberias, Nazareth, hamat gader, and maybe some of Israel's vineyards. Last, the staff is wonderful! We really enjoyed talking to the family members, very nice people!
The room and bathroom were a little small for us, especially since we had an infant. But I believe there are larger rooms to stay in if needed.
