Location (a bit far from center of town) Small facial tissue packages
Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was so helpful, the room lovely, and the location ideal.
The breakfast area was great. The room was great, especially the bathroom.
Didn't like the idea of two beds to make one bed set but I am guessing there is no way to get a queen size bed up the floors.
About the only down side was the part of town in which the hotel is found. After dark it's a bit sketchy. Otherwise, everything was great.
Fantastic shower, nice rooms, pleasant and elegant
We decided totreat ourselves to a second visit and were not diappointed at all. In fact , we continue to be pleased with every aspect of this hotel.
The location limits you to using a vehicle at night or not venturing out at all.
The grace and beauty of the building and its surrounding landscaped courtyards...The beautiful setting for the breakfasts and evening social hours...the iced water and orange juice to greet us at the front desk, the marvelous and accommodating staff... From reception to servers to housekeeping. Bravo.
Only that we had to leave!
I loved the decor of the hotel :-) It gave me both a homey but sophisticated feeling
I was just very pleased
Although the hotel is located as thr locals would describe it, dodgy area of Haifs, the hotel serves good breakfast, excellent clean rooms are nicely decorated wirth very comfortable beds. Staff is super kind and helpful.
Not that I am complaining, but the hotel should think about a ramp for those who may struggle with stairs at the entrance.
We traveled from the airport to Haifa and spent our first couple of nights in Bay Club. It was a wonderful place to get over our jet lag. The rooms were comfortable- good size, great beds, nice linens, good showers, toiletries, and coffee maker. We found the staff to be very professional friendly, and happy to respond to our requests (the receptionist made me an instant coffee at 5:00 am!). We enjoyed the terrific breakfast in the courtyard. We missed the Happy Hour both afternoons, but when we came to pick up our bags, we saw the beautiful spread of snacks and wine. Some have commented on the location being a bit gaudy and it was one hesitation I had before booking the hotel for our family of six adults. It's downtown Haifa across from the city hall. This area is not particularly known for its aesthetics but it is safe. It’s also within a mixed Arab-Jewish neighborhood which might deter some, but others experience it as Haifa's uniqueness. The hotel's interior is beautiful, unique, and aesthetically pleasing. If I was a solo female traveler on foot, I would probably pick the more central German Colony, but otherwise I would strongly recommend this hotel. It's a bit tricky to get here by car (generally Haifa is not an easy city to navigate) so make sure to have a map/gps with you.
Nice atmosphere, very nice building, nice interior, good sized room, good , happy hour is a real treat, parking just around the corner is free (but you'll have to be lucky to find a free spot).
Small bathroom, some details are poorly finished (for example fittings in bathroom), cleaning in bathroom could be better (was a lot of calc on the chrome fittings), parking just around the corner is free (but you'll have to be lucky to find a free spot).
Transporting luggage to the hotel from our car was difficult, stairs etc, had to relocate the car and struggle with the luggage. Parking was iffy also, finding a spot near the hotel. Not the greatest or most interesting area. We were offeed drugs for sale on the stairs descending to the market area, did not always feel safe. Hard to find. But we loved the amenities, beautiful garden and freindly helpful staff. Maybe not a hotel for the mature traveller.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast, view of the harbor.
Location requires a car (with GPS), not the best quarters, no restaurants in walking distance.
Stylish and comfortable
Checkout reception staff superior and unhelpful Buffet breakfast (good standard) but staff not very accessible or available Poor coffee
No one indicated that if I requested a balcony I would get a much smaller room.
Excellent breakfast, great location, service minded staff!
No terrass or rooftop, small room, too soft bed!
The hotel is lovely, clean and comfortable. Loved the free snacks and drinks at happy hour. Great breakfast. Generally a really nice stay.
The hotel itself isn't in a particularly nice location. I wouldn't have wanted to wander there at night on my own. Having said that its only a ten minute walk from the nicer/tourist areas and it was nice and quiet at night.
The whole atmosphere of the hotel exuded luxury..from the smooth jazz playing in the hallways to the soothing shades and beautiful fabrics in the room. Eating breakfast in the enclosed porch was lovely, the food beautifully prepared and presented. A really great experience.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten track and you might not feel quiet about walking there late at night alone. (on the other hand, it makes for no noise to bother your sleep). Should be a very short taxi ride to the German Colony, where all the action is.
Good place to stay Specially we liked the evening snack, that quite rare
The breakfast and happy hour that came with the cost of the stay was elegant and located in a charming room. Well worth it!! They also offer free 15-minute massages.
happy hour is very nice lots of high quality books free to read in
parking situation is nearly bad
It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful new hotel. Especially the huge shower was highly appreciated. The breakfast was gorgeous - we definitetly would like to come back again!
The hotel architecture is beautiful, in particular the public spaces and breakfast area. The happy hour is a full meal, no need for dinner. Staff exceptional.
Location is not the best, difficult to drive to and drive from. This part of Haifa needs " renewal". Was once the center of the city.
We stayed at the Bay Club for two nights. It is a new hotel and is well appointed, although there are limited facilities. Parking is free on an adjacent street. The rooms are well decorated. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide choice of food and in a very pleasant setting. All the staff were helpful and friendly.
my only complaint would be a lack of space to unpack suitcases. The main restaurant area of Ben Gurion Avenue in the German Colony is about a 15 minute walk away along some pretty grotty streets, so visitors may wish to hire a taxi (cost around 30 Shekels).
The hotel is really classy and breakfast has a big variety of good food.
we arrived late, finding the hotel was not easy and the staff not helpful. The towels were missing and wifi not working.
