Location is ok. On our second day in the hotel, we noticed that the supposedly clean, recently replaced towels looked definitely dodgy: they had suspicious- looking stains on them. We went down to the reception and pointed out the problem; we were given new towels. After we returned to the room, we had a close look at the new towels and realized that most of them looked just as suspicious as the previous ones. We went down to the reception again and asked for yet another set of new towels. This time around, we had a thorough look at each of them before we said "ok". What's noteworthy is that the receptionist had asked us what the problem was when we went down for the second time, and when I showed him the ugly stains on the towels, he said "they're not dirty, they're clean!" I'm afraid that says a lot about the attitude towards hygiene at Berger Hotel.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel owner/manager was very cordial and helpful. Mr. Eli made excellant suggestions of what to do in the area, especially the connection for a boatride on the Galilee, and willingly made phone calls to make reservations as needy during our 5 night stay. The breakfast staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were traveling with 7 children, ages 4 - 22, and can recommend our pleasant experience to other families looking for a good price stay and wonderful memories.

We liked the location for sightseeing in the Galilee area of Israel. The reception area was spacious with lounging chairs, and internet connection. Also had a computer in the lobby with free internet for guests. The complimentary breakfast was typical Israeli, substancial - and very good. The service was very good and did they whatever they could to accomadate every request. Our room was a little shabby but clean and adaquate.

Hospitality and warmth welcome throughout my short stay. Best price for quality of service and location (beautiful view of the sea of Galilee). I asked if I could use the Hotel's washer and dryer to do my laundry, not only they took the time to do it, they refused to accept any payment for the service they so kindly provided. I will visit this Hotel during my next trip to Israel (God willing). Thank you

It was cheap compared to other hotels Older building & amenities, room didn't correspond to the photos (old rundown) but still "Ok" given the price. You need to have a car to get around or take very long walks. The rooms with a view were on a busy street (noise!) and the view wasn't that great...

We enjoyed the conversation, helpfulness, and friendliness of the staff as well as the location of the Berger Hotel to many of the places and things we wanted to do see near the Sea of Galilee and Upper and Lower Galilee areas. We also liked the ease of getting to downtown Tiberias using the bus stops within 1 block of the hotel.

They were very accommodating, warm, and friendly. Mr Berger was most helpful. The night desk clerk was especially wonderful. He gave us directions to where we wanted to go. Told us where we could snag some free parking at the port and told us which places to eat on a variety of budgets. We ate at Gaille Gil and the food was incredible.

Helpful staff, big/free breakfast, good beds, tiny kitchenette with fridge and microwave but only 2 cups and a bowl and spoon, great view of sea from lanai. No shower curtain so bit messy, wet. Tiny kitchenette with virtually no supplies.

Amazing owners. For everything you need they are there to help you, and always smiling. Excelent price. I was driving a car, so not sure if easy to stay there without your own transportation.

The manger was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were good sized and clean. Located close to the center of town, with a beautiful view of kineret from higher floors. Free wifi in some rooms and complementary breakfast. We had a wonderful stay here. The cleaning staff was very rude and barely spoke english.

Standard is good for 2 *. Rooms are small and furniture is worn. Reception offers map of the area and travel recommendations free of charge. Night porter was extremely helpful. Recommended for budget travellers and for short stays.

Berger Hotel was a great choice! Definite value for the money. The rooms were very large, ours had a view of the Sea of Galilee, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great pressure and was hot. The staff were all very friendly, especially the man at check in (manager or owner maybe?) They did our laundry and didn't charge us b/c it was Christmas! The breakfast was also the best we had so far (across the budget hotels we had stayed in). The hotel is a bit up the hill, and if you didn't have a car, might be a pain. However, we had a car, parking was easy and we were very happy with our choice. Thanks Berger hotel!
