Chef Hostel Montefiore

The hostel was really nice, hosts are friendly, helpful, creative, organise great events in the hostel and outside, keep it clean. The structure of the hostel is well planned, rooms are cofortable, there is a huge common room and a nice yard with pool, stage, bar, big tables where people get together :)

The Hostel is absolutely awesome. You feel at home the whole entire time and the hosts make sure you have a comfortable stay. There is iron, hair dryer, towels and even an ironing board! The beach is a 15-min walk but the clubs are only 5 mins away (very convenient at night). The money exchange is close and the shopping is in the area as well. Rooms have air conditioning as well. Hostel has parties for its guests, the host sometimes cooks. There is also pub crawl twice a week.

Girls room needs a big mirror ;)

It was absolutely great my stay in chef hostel! :) very friendly and nice staff, specially Roy! i felt like staying with friends. Very familiar place, i absolutely recomend it. If i go to Tel Aviv again, ofcourse i Will stay there!

Accommodation with a good price performance ratio. Very friendly staff. They are willing to advise how to get where, where to buy what etc.

The staff made me feel apart of the family. Incredible location and a really good crowd of people staying there that always wanted to hang out. Roy, the owner, will make you a smoothie too if you ask him nicely.

-it is super easy to meet people since the hostel is like a big apartment where everyone is welcome -the hostel is close to almost everything that you need in tel aviv or you can reach the transport very easily from there

Nice, comfortable and homy environment. Lovely people and nice area, I spent a very nice time!

The atmosphere is amazing and makes you feel at home. The people I met were so nice and friendly! It's at a prime location, especially for the nightlife, with a high standard of comfortability and general hygiene. Just watch out if your blonde...or brunette.

The position

THe owner was the rudest manager Ive ever met in my life and I have been to hundreds of hostels. He shouted at customers and there is a lot of small things that arer not told in the hodtel's description. There is a shameful 15 euros late arrival tax after 10 pm!!! Contrarily to their description there is no breakfast!! Contrarily to what they wrote at their door, there is no discount if you extend your stay. THe place is also very noisy as it close to a club. Do not come to this place

Staff was really nice and true backpacker feeling with kitchen and friendly faces in the cute back yard

Staff tried to charge 100 shekels for late check in even though we had pre-warned them of our arrival. At our complaint on the matter however the owner said ok I will not charge you.

This was one of my best ever hostel experiences. The atmosphere is fun, the setup is cozy, the entire place is very clean and comfortable and location is perfect. Roy knows how to make some good Israeli cuisine too.

External noise was a problem...an alarm system close to the hostel was going off all night.

I rented an “apartment” 3 day. The apartments are located in the basement, divided into 3 parts: living room, bedroom, bathroom. Between the living room and the bedroom is not complete wall (2/3) to the door. Between the bedroom and bathroom - the window. There are three exterior windows - all windows below ground level. Floor – ceramic tiles. Basement is not ventilated. For 3 days the apartment was not clean. Paid in cash - a payment slip is not issued. я арендовал эти “апартаменты” на 3 дня. при поселении выяснилось, что это подвальное помещение разделенное на 3 части: гостиная, спальня, ванная комната. между гостиной и спальней не полная стена (2/3) с дверью. между спальней и туалетом – окно. есть 3 внешние окна - все окна ниже уровня земли. в гостиной: 1,5 спальный топчан с матрасом, диван, пластикой стул, журнальный столик, телевизионная тумба, кухонная тумба с раковиной. оборудование в гостиной: телевизор, мини-холодильник, электрочайник, пластиковые столовые приборы, пластиковый поднос, пластиковый контейнер для мусора, кондиционер (установлен на +21 и не регулируется). в спальне 2-спальный топчан, двустворчатый шкаф, комод, зеркало. ванная комната в виде пенала с последовательностью : дверь из гостиной, душ, дверь в туалет, раковина, унитаз. оплату попросили внести сразу, до того как показали апартаменты, что впрочем ничего не изменило поскольку отменить бронирование невозможно. оплачивал наличными – чек об оплате не получил. поскольку я прибыл в субботу в 21-30 (задержка рейса аэрофлота москва-тель-авив на 8 часов), то дополнительно оплатил 20 долларов сша за беспокойство владельцев. одно полотенце выдали после подтверждения того, что оно мне нужно. за 3 дня проживания номер не убирали.
