Great location downtown Tel Aviv with restaurants and shops nearby Interesting idea of staying in a refurbished cinema Popcorn at the reception desk
The hotel has in its description "free parking". NO SUCH THING: they only have 5 parking places and offer to cover to night fee for parking in the underground parking of a shopping mall nearby. We stayed there for a week and almost every night parked in the commercial center. The hotel only covers the parking fee from 8 pm to 8 am and we ended up paying, EVERY DAY, additional 30-50 shekels. The room cleaning service was ok, but it seemed that they only "arranged" the place, not actually clean it. Breakfast if open until 10 am and it happened that an 9:45 they already started to pack things up.
Brilliant central city location. Within an easy fifteen minutes walking distance of sea as well. Friendly, helpful staff.
Parking wasn't easy. Underground car park nearby but quite expensive for overnight. You can't reserve the small hotel car park which was a shame.
POSITION,VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF...CINEMA ARTIFACTS AND MEMORABILIA..FREE 2 HOUR HAPPY HOUR.
NOTHING TO DISLIKE
Friendly helpful staff
Super helpful reception staff, beautiful decor of rooms and climate of the place, in an old cinema, excellent breakfast buffet. Central location.
Breakfast , location, personnel
Smell in the bathroom, twin rooms are small for two people, ventilation was too noisy
Small room. Thin walls between rooms. Hope you don't get a snorer next door.
Wonderful service, breakfast & historic ambiance.
Rooms are tiny & need better lighting.
Location, very helpful and nice stuff, breakfast, happy hours, atmosphere of old cinema
A great place to stay; great staff; a great location; wonderful breakfast; really a terrific room. I stayed at eight places during my visit to Israel and this hotel was far and away the best place I stayed.

Hard to think of any
the staff were excellent and very helpful
the bathrooms were too small and very cramped
A really nice boutique hotel which is located right in the heart of Tel Aviv. Those who like cinema will find a lot of fun besides simply a hotel stay.
good room and bathroom. nice happy hour although i missed my beer.Good breakfast.
the price and and one should not get annoyed by old, loud Americans.
The staff were terrific - all really helpful, nice, welcoming and charming. Also, it was lovely to watch the sunset with drinks on the terrace between 5 and 7 every evening. Good breakfasts. Excellent position.
The only negative is that the fridge in my room didn't work. They should sort that out. But that is the only negative.
Lovely boutique hotel, very central with just 10 min walk to beach.
The break fast. N
No lunch no dinner.
Exterior real Bauhaus, quaint cinema interiors, and the position excellent..breakfasts very good.
That we were given a small room and told that they were all the same.and then we were moved to a really nice bigger room. No porter, or offer of any assistance with luggage.
The place has such an ambience, & we love the movies, had been to the Ester Cinema in the early days when we first came on Aliya to Israel, so it was party of our history. It is a little gem of a place the rooms are perfect for us. Clean & comfortable beds. We also love being able to be on Dizengoff so central, can walk for miles & return any time & have a rest & then go out again. The staff at the reception are very helpful giving directions & a map. They also tried to help us with the parking, as the little parking spaces belonging to the hotel were full, we managed to take a chance & parked on Zamenhoff, & did not get a fine, but we took a "sikun", if we had gotten a fine we would have written a letter to "rosh ha'ir", one also cannot find a place to buy those parking tickets anywhere only "online" & most of us don't go away with a computer to buy things like that "online" this is ridiculous, you used to be able to buy them at a kosk or at the hotels.(which should actually keep them to sell! in our opinion) Someone who did move his car to Dizengoff Centre parking garage, & then his wife found out there was a free parking, after breakfast, & she stood there keeping it for him, it took him an hour & a half to drive through a traffic jam on Dizengoff & area, on Friday morning to get back to the parking outside the hotel. This is difficult, & we always look for a hotel with parking. We understand that you cannot guarantee parking, & it is first come first served! But the girels at the reception desk did try & help & gave us good information, they were very very nice when we arrived, getting a glass of water & being most helpful. Thanks to them we felt very much "at home" in your hotel.
We stayed 2 nights, & it was a bit difficult, as it was a chag, they did not come to clean the room or change towels, we had to ask for toilet paper on the first morning already. We had gone out all morning returning for a rest at about 14.30, (erev Shabbat) & thought they had cleaned or tidied the room, the staff was working there, 10 minutes after we lay down to rest they knocked asked if we wanted them to clean, we said we'd be going out again at about 15.00, but they said it was too late. Anyway they gave us 2 clean towels, but it would have been better if they'd have cleaned, tidied & re done things in the morning, we left & went out at 9.00 a.m., & that would have been enough time until we returned in the afternoon to do things. We did not complain, though & "managed", but next time, we may try another hotel in Tel-Aviv. We love the place, & its so close to everything we like to do & see. The reception staff & staff in the d.room were excellent, the breakfasts so good. We have recommended to friends who have also come to the Cinema Hotel. We were there last year at Channuka time, in the middle of the week, for 3 nights, & we loved ot then too. (that time they did clean the rooms & make the beds etc. so we did miss that service, this time)
Front desk staff extremely friendly and helpful, especially after our luggage did not arrive. Provided us with toiletries and helped us makre phone calls to airline. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Rooftop happy hour was a great plus. Also, free parking available in a very an area where parking is a problem.
Super service, very friendly and professional personnel; breakfast; location of the hotel on Dizengoff Square
air conditioning in the room was too noisy - could hardly switch in on while in the room
