The hotel is superbly located a few blocks away from the fancy and very expensive hotels that are on the seaside. There are many good restaurants nearby. Service is efficient and friendly. Beds are comfortable. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time that I am in Tel Aviv.

Don't be put off by quite dilapidated exterior of the hotel or old- fashioned lobby - rooms/ studios are fresh (imagine a mix of azure blue, green, white and grey), spacious and ergonomic, featuring lateral sea views (the hotel is 3 min. Walk from the sea). Hotel staff is super- friendly and helpful. A good choice if you want to be in a nice location (Tel Aviv North City Centre), without paying a fortune for staying in faceless chain hotels Hotel's public areas (lobby, lifts and stairwells) are quite dilapidated

We would like to recommend City Hotel very highly to other travellers to Tel Aviv. The location is excellent both for proximity to the beach and for transport, restaurants and sightseeing. The reception and dining room staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. This, more than anything, made us feel welcome and looked after. An added bonus was the plate of biscuits left for us in our room and the 2 bottles of water left for our 2 daughters in theirs. It was a nice touch and quite unexpected. Everything worked as it should, except for the bathroom door sticking a little, which made it a bit noisy during night-time visits.

Good location near the beach. Very useful to have a free secure car park. Room very clean, nicely designed and well eqipped, although a little tight as we are a family of 4. ok value in the context of hotels being very expensive in Israel. We were only there a night but would have been happy to stay a little longer. Only criticism was that there isn't any bar to relax in after dinner.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Having a fridge in the room was a bonus. The breakfast included in the price was wonderful. One can walk to many areas of the city from the hotel. The beach was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. They provided towels for the beach. When needed, hey called for a taxi. The maid did not replace the shampoo, body lotion or bath gel daily. I had to ask for a body lotion. I didn't like that I had to sign on a n old type of visa statement to hold on he credit card. I felt hat anything could have been put on that, and I wouldn't have had any control. I was glad that they were honest not to write anything into it.

The staff were absolutely outstanding: friendly and professional, especially Norbert. Great location. I found the hotel very noisy, as if the walls were very thin. I think the rooms were a bit small.

Clean - propre Internet WiFi connection extremely slow, impossible to conduct any business from the hotel. May be related to rooms on the 6th floor. Israel know to have the best oranges in the world - too bad that the hotel does not serve fresh orange juice in the morning Otherwise good and clean

Hotel was quiet and staff was helpful. Near major street and about 5-minute walk to beach; beach towels provided. Nice breakfast buffet. Nice veranda to sit out in the front of hotel. One computer for 96 rooms and computer was "almost out of memory" all of the time. No lobby bar as advertised on website. No real amenities other than a mini-safe and a small refrigerator that barely kept the things we put in it cool.

Very rich and tasty breakfast. A minor complaint was taken care of immediately and with good humour. Perfect location for the beach as well as for sightseeing. No shampoo and soap. Not enough ventilation in the bathroom; very moist after taking showers.

People at the hotel were extremely candid and willing to help at any time. The location is great, just 2 blocks from Tel Aviv beach and other center attractions. Rooms (specially top ones) have great views of the city and sea shore. Excellent place to stay in a great location. The breakfast is not the best, compared to other Israeli hotels, but is ok anyway. The same comment for Shabbat and holiday dinners (this is something that can be improved in variety and quality).

Over all it was great. The one thing that kept bothering us was the toilet smell. No matter how much the cleaning lady will clean it - it kept bringing out an anplesant odor that came out of the bathrooms at times.

The location and the Breakfest We asked for a Double bed a week in advance and were reassured we will get one. There was no parking when we got there. The Toilet is too close to the wall, hard to sit on it...

This hotel is very basic, with a bit of design flair. The breakfast, included in the room price, was great. The staff were very helpful. Parking is quite a challenge as the lower level garage is quite small with limited parking.
