The room smelled very badly of smoke. It stuck in the curtains, the bedding and the towels. As we couldn't open the window properly, we couldn't get rid of it, not even a little. Even our clothes would smell of smoke after staying overnight. As there is no reception, but just a supermarket where you get the key, there was no one to talk to. We complained to one guy working there, but he couldn't help us. He said, the room was the best, they had. Well... Also the aircon wasn't working and the wifi connection was very poor. As we came later in the evening, a guy from the supermarket let us in. We had to pay for the room upon arrival, but never got a receipt, although we asked for it twice. We were always told to come back later, but whenever we asked about it, the changing guys in the supermarket said, that they couldn't issue one. So, we assume, the money went past the tax office. On our day of departure there was no water early in the morning. Luckily we didn't need to take a shower. As the hotel is in a very central location next to a junction, there is some traffic that might bother you at night. But earplugs do the magic.
The location of the hotel is very convenient for visiting the Old City. You can walk there within a few minutes. It's also close to Mamilla mall, Jaffo street and Ben Yehuda Street with bars and pubs. The room itself was nicely furnished and clean. It has a small fridge and a kettle. It was cleaned on both days we stayed there.
