- Staff - Cleanliness - Value for money
They had a really effective air condition.
It was a bit if a walk getting there.
- excellent staff - good breakfast (a variety of vegetables and some other meal) - not far from the old city - free parking in front of the hotel (always places) - we were not satisfied with our rooms and they gave us better and expensive ones for the same price
- this is for sure NOT "4 stars" hotel))) it's good "three" - the price should be lower - only "family" rooms have a normal double bed, in all others only twin, for a couple it's not good idea - "inside" rooms have bad smell
Staff was very nice. They helped us with directions, call taxis... For 50 shekels more, they can make your laundry. There is coffee, tea and carrots at the lobby, in the evening, and a nice buffet for breakfast. The de decorations are fantastic. There is also a mini fridge in the room, lots of storage and a nice view kof mount olives. It is in the arab part of Jerusalem, only 15 minutes from the old city, but you can also take bus n°75.
We saw 2 cockroaches in the hall. The light was poor. I would suggest varying breakfast a little more.
Really helpful staff, clean, and good value for money. Excellent breakfast
There was usually only one staff member, meaning that if you needed anything in a hurry, it was very difficult to get anyone's attention.
Hotel was well situated for our needs. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely stay there on my next visit.
I initially booked the hotel because I liked the buffet included in the price, and also the location. But after being there I realised that the location is on the easter side of Jerusalem which is noisier, dirtier and I felt Harassed by the locals. Locals is that part of town are very disrespectful. It is a pity because the hotel is Ok.
I did not like the hotel being on the eastern side of Jerusalem. I got woken up by the muslims prayers every night, drivers and by standers harrasing me with dirty complements, etc. the hotel WI Fi was down most of the time and to top it up, the TV did not work for the full 4 nights I stayed there. They seemed to not have a password for their WiFi, so I assumed the entire neighbourhood uses it for free and causes it to froze and slows it down a lot. I do have to say that the receptionist Anita and a young guy with glasses do their best to keep you happy.
Staff really kindly, Good position for visit old city.
The staff were amazing and so helpful; particularly the manager. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Staff was very helpful. Generous snacks in room were provided free of charge and small market was next door. 15 minute walk in either direction to stores and restaurants. Number 75 bus stopped in front and was very convenient.
Location Breakfast Quietness, even if near old town.
We were a group of 4. We liked our stay very much: The hotel is at walking distance (about 1.5 kilometres) from the Old City, and also bus connection with bus 75 is good. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Good value.
The best thing about the Commodore is the Desk Clerk Anita—so helpful! Very close to Old City and there's a (virtually) door-to-door bus service.
The hotel is very shabby and run-down with minimal amenities. It caters to large tour groups of budget travelers. The shower flooded the bathroom. It is rather isolated in that there are no restaurants or grocery stores in the immediate area. You have to go to the Old City.
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere, good breakfasts, location on Mount of Olives ridge ie great views nearby and a mile walk to Damascus Gate down into Kidron valley and up again. Glad we stayed there.
It was difficult to get a good internet connection.
it was a great value for money. we got a decent room for 100usd/night, while other offers 40-100% more expensive. it's in the arab part of the city, but very close to old town. didn't fee unsafe in any way.
Great breakfast. Easy to walk or catch a bus into the city.(5.50 shekels ) very frequent. Up graded us as we stayed for 5 nights . Very clean.
Noisy on the road try for a back room.
the stuff was always helpful, breakfast was good.
towels were not always changed every time or were not enough (we were 3 and they left 2, etc). there were no blankets just a comforter which was too short. the hotel was not that nice for the price we paid. on dinner time the rooms smelled of food which is annoying for sleeping. there was not ammenities, just liquid soap which was not replenished. in all it would be good if it was a cheap hotel, but it was not cheap!! maybe because Israel is expensive, I dont know, but i have been in cheap hotels which had better facilities than this one.
the hospitality of the staff & the cleanliness of the room moreover the breakfast was very good with many choices of various traditional tastes
wi-fi inside the room did not working but in lobby was with an excellent signal
If you pay by credit card, there's an extra commission which is not announced on booking The glassdoor at the entrance is broken and fixed with tape The room that we had was really dark: the lamps didn't provide enough light
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is good, only a short walk to the old city (15 minutes uphill). Other hotels closer to town are a lot more expensive.
When the reception called a taxi for us, we were told we had to pay a "calling fee" once we were in the taxi, which is not true. The taxi companies called should be trustworthy and honest. It would be nice to have some toiletries in the room, such as shampoo. Tea/coffee making facilities would also be nice, given the price of the rooms, which are not that cheap. Breakfast could be improved by providing some more fresh fruit and replenishing more quickly, especially after large groups.
I liked the staff as they are friendly food great
Need to renew some of the bathing tower.
1. Great mountain views just outside the hotel. 2. Excellent water pressure in the shower. 3. Pretty decent breakfast and nice, spacious lobby.
1. Wi-Fi didn't work well in the room after the first few hours, and the staff did nothing to correct it. 2. The carpet in my room could have used some deep cleaning. 3. A four-star hotel should have more toiletries than liquid soap. 4. The AC was erratic and fairly weak.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
-Without a car you'll find it's quite difficult to get around -breakfast: no butter, only margarine; no choice in bread type: only the plain white sort; orange juice was just chemical staff - nothing to do with oranges (and we're speaking of Israe/Palestine);
