Nearest food market and cafe in 6 kilometres and bus is not very often. They don't accept credit card, only cash!
Large personal appartment with yard, very comfortable. Polite staff. Quite place, near the bench.

No working WiFi for $100/night? This is just a joke.

WiFi did not work for us which I do not mind.
Pretty garden. Nice quiet inexpensive place a short drive or bike ride from classier En Bokek Dead Sea beach. Here quiet beach for meditation not great swim and no mud. Since booking.com mistakenly promised a washing machine the nice owner had all our laundry done for us by pros for free. Free bike use. Not luxurious but had soaker bath with water jets and was fine place to sleep or sit on patio and eat,

There is no free breakfast and the wifi didn't work. The beach has a no swimming sign up...so don't believe the advertising about being by a swimming beach. The place is hard to find. The ceiling in the bathroom is covered in mold and smells. he bed is appalling (the worst we;ve slept in). There was only a single duvet for a queen size bed and one bottom sheet.
We liked the courtyard and the shower was hot.

Friendly guy at the reception. Didn't speak much English though. A bit off en boqueq which was good. Nice little are with several flats!
18 February 2015
There was - contrary to the description - NO breakfast. Wifi did not work, the promised repair did not take place. Payment must be made in cash, there was not a bill. Larger defects in the bathroom (shower, electricity).
Good basic equipment (TV, refrigerator, ...)

We ordered a studio room. On arrival were shown room #8. We immediately noticed a row of ants stretching from the entrance into the middle of the room, and therefore we were redirected by the host to the next room #9. In this room the ants would become a minor nuisance, but required paying attention keeping the entrance door shut (otherwise ants would penetrate the threshold). After observing the bed we noticed that blanket-sheet wasn't there. We looked at the closet and found one, however it was stained. So we requested a new blanket-sheet and put it on by ourselves. The bed was 2 joined twin beds - not a brilliant idea but a common practice. The flush button in the toilet got stuck constantly, and unless we paid attention returning it manually every single time - a lot of water would be wasted. The shower-head holder in the bath was broken. A local family of cats has been a constant nuisance during our meals on the porch, and they couldn't be kept out neither by a gate nor by a fence. The chair seats outside were dirty and wet, so protecting towels were applied by the host. This affected the atmosphere on the porch. Towards the ending of our stay we discovered that the porch floor got flooded (probably by the neighbour from above). This pretty much ruined the romantic atmosphere on the porch. While the last note was an unexpected issue due to technical malfunction, all the others (previously mentioned) suggest better maintenance should be applied.
Dudu has been an excellent host. Was there to serve and fulfill any request. Also the value for money was good, mainly because very reasonable prices.

1The sockets are drown out of their places hanging on the wires Toulet is behind the screen of one of the 2 bedrooms If you are 2 family what should you do? Very dirty.

The kitchen has no tools to cook only a microwave oven and a water boiler. The breakfast was boring, exactly the same every day. The neighbour is a bit far from the turistic spots and the bus service is poor, omly one bus per hour, there is literally nothing to do and to buy, not even a bar or a minimarket.
the room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The owner made us a wonderfull tipical israeli dinner and very cheap. The bus stop was very close.

to explore the area, you should bring a rental car (tourist guides suggest to bring it from Tel-Aviv or Jerusalem) to visit the best beaches, Spas, Massada, the desert and maybe the grill restaurant Taj Mahal (serving local food), but that holds for the entire Dead Sea area not only for Neve Zohar
our bungalow-like rooms (including a bathtub, a large private terrace with sun and sun-protected areas) were clean and included a fruit and sweets plate when we arrived; the owner was very friendly and helpful, e.g. he provided us an additional cooking plate, salt and oil; he brought us breakfast with bread, butter, several types of cheese, vegetables, olives, eggs, yogurts, drinks and more; a nice alternative for those who do not want to stay in the large (far more expensive) hotels in En Bokek;

Nothing that is worth to mention
Location, hospitality, quietness

They don't accept credit cards.
Friendly staff, nice clean rooms, breakfast at a local Aroma cafe.

Nothing like the pictures. It looked like a residential area that had seen better days. We didn't stay having spent some time looking around and even being offered another apartment. Was more expensive than the hotels right on the Dead Sea.
14 May 2014
needed to be renovated immediately, when we told the owner next morning that there were no wine glasses, toilet paper, bed cover and that the price for the rooms were much too high, he got very upset and told us we could have waken him up during the night and he would brought the needed items. There were no excuse at all from his side - on the contrary a very rude behaviour.

It was hard to determine exactly where to checkin. It is like a little community so the 'where' is not clear.
We needed 6 rooms and wanted to spend one night in the Dead Sea area and the price of every other facility was 3 times higher. Our location was about 1/2 lower that the happening spots but with a little drive we were in the action for shopping eating, swimming etc. Wow what a alternative to those on a budget. Also the rooms are super clean and big.

Dalya has done a fabulous job decorating and maintaining her property. It was tastefully done and the ONLY property in Israel where we stayed that was represented truthfully. We actually got the room emailed to us in the picture. Dayla has the gift of hospitality and she made us feel extremely welcome. She and her husband are very kind people who want to make sure that you enjoy your stay by the dead sea. I forfeited a stay at Ein Gedi Kibuttz due to a change in itenerary and rebooked to stay at Dayla Zimmer, while I am sure the Kibutz property is lovely; nothing beats staying in a more intimate surrounding with a private beach I am convinced the hospitality could not compare! I didn't not like anything :-)
I liked the friendliness of our host, the lovely house and the gorgeous location.
12 April 2014
However you need a car to travel around and explore this region.
The personal was nice and welcoming. The room was clean and well equipped. There was a nice inner yard to have breakfast and dinner what made us feel as at home.

I can't believe Booking.com puts this among their listings. The best thing was its proximity to En Bokek. The actual settlement of Neve Zohar has absolutely nothing to offer a tourist - no restaurant, no beach. It's a room and a bed - that's it. And, please get the screen behind the shower fixed so that no mosquitoes can get in.

Away from any shopping or eating place . It was very inconvenient if you did not have car .
