Simply the best hotel in Eilat! Best location, breakfast, rooms and service. Executive rooms and service excellent; quiet, subtle and unobtrusive attention, wonderful all day buffet and spectacular views away from the crowds. Ideally placed for private sunbathing, swimming for all ages and strolling along promenade - within seconds' reach of bustling waterfront, boutique shops and cheap, cheerful and colourful market stalls yet providing an oasis of calm luxury. Easy access to Egged bus service for comfortable and very inexpensive tours. Restaurant service is swift and efficient, copes with crowds well. Staff helpful but newcomers understandably a little nervous at times. Hotel leadership obviously have tight rein on providing high standards of customer service outdoing many leading world's capitals 5* &6* hotels.Eliot at the Front desk was imaaginative and resourceful in sorting out an inadvertent booking cancellation late at night after an exhausting trip from London. Sent up wine, fruit and luxury snacks for 2 nights as complimentary welcome after a frustrating journey. Can't be faulted! A real star in Israel's tourism crown.

I liked that it was right at the beach. The cleaning stuff was very nice and very prompt.

The staff at breakfast did not speak any English or try to understand what I wanted. In addition the reception staff was not very polite. When we called the reception on the day we left, they told us we could do late checkout. When we went downstairs to the lobby, to arrange for the late checkout, the receptionist told us it was not possible and if we wanted to stay late we would have to pay 80 Euro. She implied we had made up the earlier phone call. In the end all worked out, but it was just unpleasant to have to argue. Also the pool and inside of the hotel smelled a lot like chlorine. The site of the Dan Eilat on booking.com also implied that the hotel was a high quality hotel for grown ups. In reality the hotel was full of families and it was neither relaxing at breakfast, nor at the pool....

Very poor service ethic. Staff were surly and unhelpful. When taking breakfast if help was required we became invisible. This was down to a lack of proper supervision, training and management. We felt that staff did not appreciate that it is the clientele that ultimately pay their wages. Bedsheets were not changed during the week we spent at the hotel, this is unacceptable. Whilst there is a free transfer from Eilat airport to the hotel on arrival there is no such service on departure.As airport is no more than 5 minutes we feel that this is rather mean.

The reception arrangements needs serious improvement. The service at one of the restaurants was indifferent.

We had access to the executive lounge and that made the stay special. The food and service in the lounge was fabulous along with being quiet and a fantastic view. The buffet breakfast for everyone else is a mob scene. We had a great long weekend.

Fragrance they use in the rooms is overpowering.

Fantastic breakfasts. Beautiful spotless rooms and was upgraded at no extra cost. Wonderful views. Excellent faciliities.

High price of accomodation, kosher food on breakfast.

Nothing was wrong. However, having to pay 10 sheckels to use the internet was a hassle. Guests should get 15-20 minutes free each day to keep in touch with family and work back in the USA.

Excellent hotel. Probably the best in Eilat. The Traklin was fantastic. I really enjoyed my stay.

Desk staff were not helpful. Other staff don't know English. The breakfast staff treat people like cattle, not like guests. The tall guy from the hotel gym was rude. Don't expect "please" to be used by the staff.
