Daniel Dead Sea Hotel  

The room was excellent as was the view. Very comfortable accommodations.

Private beach was closed and we had to cross the road to get there. Spa facilities could use an upgrade, as well as the elevators. Staff were minimally helpful.

Hotel room was decent but for the price, could have provided bathrobes or/and room slippers.

The staff. Their service was poor and some reception staff are quite lazy. They also want to take a US$100 deposit from me in case I drink or eat in the hotel restaurants. (I thought most hotel standards are that when one checks out, one then pays for everything incurred) I already paid for the room in advance (when I check in) as they requested and they have my credit card details anyway. So I find that strange and not very guest-friendly.

The room was nice, but we were surprised of the sudden total blackout -it happened because we left the window open, the fact which we were never informed of. We couldn't really reach the private beach of the hotel, as the time of shuttle bus was limited and the final time was also not informed at all. There was no insturuction how to reach to the beach, so we went to the beach of the dead sea which was belonged to the other hotel. The only choice for the dinner was buffet in the packed dinner hall without luxurious atmosphere. We somehow enjoyed our stay, but next time we may try the other hotel.

It is a good looking hotel

The staff- Walid actively bargained with us about the price of a bottle of wine. We knew it was 90 nis, but Walid, who claimed to be the hotel manager, refused to consult the winelist and shouted at us! There was lots of hair in both the bath and the basin when we arrived. The lady at the check in desk, at the door to the breakfast room and the staff in the breakfast room, especially the lady at the bread area were awful and very rude. The hotel has a private beach, but it does not have direct access to the beach. In all fairness, no hotels do and you have to cross the road. Also, there is no mud availably on the beach...you have to buy in the nearby stores, where the prices varied vastly, so shop around. All in all, Israeli hotels are not famed for their finesse, but this hotel's staff are just rude, dishonest and complete amateurs. Added to this, the hotel is very expensive...my advice is, book a 3 star in this area.

We stay in hotel one night only and I wish we can stay more and enjoy the Spa.

Well, there is no one to help with luggage...to bring it to the room. And we were the only guests who came at that time. Not good enough English in reception, hard to communicate.

The hotel is not brand new, but management and staff tried to make our staying comfortable. As I saw all the rooms have see view, even part see view is quite amazing.

Internet for $$ is yesterday tradition.

poor service at reception, public areas need to be repaired.

The rooms were clean but the towels and bedding were skimpy.The bed was very, very firm. The evening buffet - granted it was Shabbat - was pretty awful and, since we didn't have a full meal plan it was very expensive but there are few other restaurants in the area. The breakfast buffet was the usual Israeli breakfast.The pool was nice although the lounges showed lots of wear and tear and were not the cleanest. (Typical Israeli) Our adult children like the spa and sauna. Shuttle to the Dead Sea beach right across the street but it is also an easy walk. We visit our family in Israel every year. By Israeli standards, this hotel was above average but we will continue to look around and probably will try someplace else next time.
