Clean rooms, clean sheets, close to the bus stop & quiet at night. The staff was friendly & helpful with any request. And if they didn't know they would find the answer. Additional bonus, every staff spoke good English. The greatest aspect was affordability.
That I couldn't stay longer, had to return home.
The very nice guests do all they can to welcome the travellers ,to give information ,and we enjoyed all our stay in Eden Hotel from the beginning to the end
Nice staff. Wifi was good. Free coffee and use of balcony. Breakfast at Herzlstreet. (double)Bed was good
Was older and more worn out then expected from pictures. Lightning (TL-tube) could be more cosy.
Staff, especially Kim, very helpful & pleasant! Close to Ba'hai Gardens walking. Beach easily accessible by bus. Nice quaint room.
2 flights of stairs to reception & 1 extra to our room. No elevator.
Great location to main shops and food.
I stayed for 10 days. Very helpful and friendly staff, most everybody speaks English. Room was clean and air-conditioner worked great. I researched all of Israel for a hotel and found Eden is the best deal for the money.
I did not like to idea of us carry our luggage all thhe way up to the third floor cause of no elevator.
Cleanliness, staff attentiveness, price and A/C.
All was good, but dont expect the Ritz for the price. You need to climb stairs to get to your, but it is not that bad. Just a matter of getting used to it.
Good location, very nice room with balcony, perfect service,so friendly and helpful people, supermarket, restaurants and also post office etc. Are nearby ;-) Thank you for everything!:-)
very good location. staff was very helpful.
Free upgrade to a room with AC. Friendly & helpful staff. Near German colony & Bahai garden. Bus stop (bus 115 to bus station & bus 3 to Merkaz Hamifratz) is just around the corner. Nice place. Good value for Money.
I didn't really pay too much so you can't really expect to stay at the best place! Room was big, and clean! TV didn't work but I wasn't there to watch TV!
a combination of everything you would want in a hotel, nice room, good and warm service, clean and tidy and by walking distance from every possible service needed, and all that, for a very low price!
no elevator, so a few stairs should be climbed, though this is very minor compared to the quality of the hotel, and of course the cheap price!
Air conditioner on the covered terrace that is connected with the room. It was heating instead of freezing. No light in the bathroom.
The bed was comfortable, the AC worked great. I liked having a porch/balcony type area to smoke and look outside.
The first staff I dealt with could hardly speak English, so that was tough. He was a bit rude too, not eager to help with anything. For example, the shower was practically impossible to get a certain temperature it was always boiling hot or ice cold and the shower area is enough room to about spin in a circle so you can't really get in it until the waters right. I went downstairs and asked how to make the shower cooler and much to his dismay he had to follow me upstairs and when he got up, he pointed to the AC that was off and said angrily "HEY! You see there! It's not even on! You flip switch!!" and I go "WHAT? I'm talking about the shower!". "Ohhh the shower! I don't know. That way cold, that way hot". Wow, thanks for all the help. To make things even better, the Wi-Fi was not reliable and the fridge wasn't even plugged in when I came in, so I couldn't refrigerate any of my water and when you unplug fridges they stink!! How does nobody know that??? Keep them plugged in or at least plug it in a few hours before a guest arrives. Is that difficult? The Hadar neighborhood is not that nice but in close distance to Haifa's very few attractions (unless you have several days, I had 2 days and one night to explore). Sirens went off at 3:30am for the first time in 8 years, that was pretty scary. Now let me rewind back to that staff who couldn't speak much English. When I first arrived in the room I thought I should stay an extra night because I really wanted to see all of Haifa and the surrounding area. I went downstairs and asked, the man called the manager who spoke to me and told me it would be 15$ more because it'd be a weekend. I said fine and tried to pay but my CC declined. I was disappointed and said forget it. Later that night when I came back from exploring, the man said I had until a certain time to make up my mind. I was curious if he forgot my card got declined.
The staff was very nice and helpful and gave some good recommendations. The location was alright with buses and shops nearby. There is free wifi and English-language tv in the room. The price-value ratio is good.
All in all the room was more at the comfort-level of a hostel rather than a hotel but not bad. The shower is directly in the room, with no door seperating it from the bedroom, so a high level of intimacy between the occupants is a must. The only actually negative point was that the shower wasn't cleaned properly when we arrived with sand of the person before us still on the ground.
We enjoy view from our balcony (Bahai Gardens) and port. The balcony was great! The staff was nice and helpful.
Noisy street, old shower (inside the room)
Friendly staff with good tips Resonably priced compared to other hotels in Haifa
Booked the "suite" with whirlpool and got a slightly bigger room right next to the reception area. A bit noisy. The whirlpool did not work and the shower head of the separate shower was broken and sprayed everywhere. We did not mind much and only told the staff at checkout, so they had no chance to fix the problem. Hotel has seen better days.
We really appreciated the sincere friendliness of all the staff and the home-like feeling. Parking on the property helped us a lot. Absolutely recommended!
I'd like to point out that location is perfect. Close to German Colony, Bahai Garden, Haifa port. Bus station is right at the corner. Staff is very helpful. Kim Changed our room since i complained about noise. My advice is never ever book economy room. Believe me, better pay more and stay in a regular room. Price corresponds to quality.
That's an old hotel (it opened for the first 1n 1930) and everything there is old but neat. There's tea, coffee, cold water and milk for guests there.
Wifi is only in the hall; the toilet is dangerously funny and smells vanilla awfully :) The bath is just in the room where I was sleeping. But all the same the final opinion about the place just good :)
Good position and quite good price. Personal is very helpful.
Careful staff, responsive, kind, attentive. Clean rooms, cleaning every day.
Hotels need great renovation, doors and walls are very old. The atmosphere like in old WWII hospital. The location of the hotel in poor arabian district, dusty and dirty. Moskitos.
very friendly staff - incredibly helpful in giving directions. nice bed
kind of old structure
