Khan El Zeit St. No 73 Old City-Jerusalem, Jerusalem, 09754, Israel – Show map
Excellent location – rated 9.1/10! (score from 190 reviews)
Rated by guests after their stay at Hashimi Hotel.
The Hotel is about 425 years old. The property itself has been a pension for almost 125 years under the same name as Hashimi Hotel. The name belongs to the Hashemite Kingdom. Adjacent from the Hotel is the huge stable where visitors used to stop their horses overnight to rest while they enjoyed lounging in the Pension. The stable is now a huge fashion store. What makes the hotel special is the updated construction with its own characteristics. The Garden on the rooftop is absolutely breathtaking.

- some missing equipment from the room: glass or cup... - old furniture, but not the most important
- location - view from the roof

During our stay there were some construction works going on .... but noise stopped at 7 pm ;-)
You can check in at 12:30 what is very convenient. Hashimi hotel is close to all attractions in Old Jerusalem, being located in Via Dolorosa, down from Damascus Gate. Magnificent panorama from the top floor terrace to the Dome of the Rock. Very calm and secure place to stay, beautifully decorated in Arabic style.

Not much to report, few shortcomings, easily settled by the staff's excellent availability to help. Jerusalem is one of the -if not THE- most ancient cities on the planet, so one cannot expect modern facilities in millenia old city structure. Bear that in mind if you have mobility issues.
Excellent location, very friendly and helpfull staff, fantastic views from the roof, generous and very tasty breakfast. I was travelling with my father with limited mobility and the staff's help and attention has been tremendous. I cannot thank them enough.

Little choice for the breakfast
Roof terrace with wonderful view of Jerusalem, tea and coffee for free all day long, friendly staff, it was possible to check in earlier. It is really a little oasis in the busy market street of old Jerusalem hotel is situated in.

Shower is the smallest I have ever seen. Staff could be friendlier. Breakfast needs improvement....fresh coffee, some fruit juices and fruit would go a long way to help. Public areas are very clean but the stone echoes loudly and you hear all of the guests coming and going. Perhaps some carpets would help dampen the noise.
Easy access to most of the historic sights. Nice to wander the streets at night and in early morning before the crowds

It has nice view of old city at the rooftop.

Wornout towels but clean. No bedlamps only one lamp in the ceiling. Did not accept Visa card or mastercard. No chairs to put clothes on. Only 2 electric contacts and none close to the beds. Very narrow in the washroom. And the door opened into the washroom. Not possible to be 2 persons at the same time.
Läget centralt. Bra frukost 5$. TV HDMI so we could see Swedish news via ChromeCast and WiFi. Nice staff.

No Bad experience at all.
Best location in all Jerusalem, in the middle of the old city, all attractions are within walking distance. All staff were extremely friendly, helpful. Breakfast was very good and fresh. Internet was super fast, I made several Skype Video calls everyday and had no issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend the hotel and stay there whenever I'm in town. Amazing views from rooftop, you can have a fantastic sunrise on Jerusalem if you wake up early.

i would have appreciated a reading lamp by my bed and electic sockets that were accessible for recharging phones lap top etc. There was adequate sockets but as the were behind the head board they were inaccessible.
Staff seemed very pleased to help but not pushy. Decor was very pleasant rather upmarket for a hostel.

March 29, 2015
Way way overpriced, cramped rooms, staff religiously arrogant Wahhabis (Protestants), a feeling of stinginess, towels the size of handkerchiefs.
Amazing location in the middle of Old Jerusalem, close to al-Aqsa Mosque

The quality of the rooms varied significantly, look at different options before deciding.
Our room was changed when we complained about the smell in one of the rooms and we got a beautiful third floor room with a great view over the city! The location is perfect and conveniently close to all attractions and the Damascus gate where buses to Palestine, Jordan and the rest of the country depart. (The central bus station is just 5 stops away with the city train) the area is great with lots of food options and shopping around, and the staff was very helpful. Free WiFi that worked in the room!

it will be good to have a bar fridge and a kettle.
my two rooms have the view of masjidil al-aqsa which was amazing.

internet in room is a bit sketchy but ir works.
The welcome at reception was great; Saleh who works there is a true professional, very attentive to all customer needs. The location cannot be beat: smack in the middle of old Jerusalem, steps away from the via Dolorosa.

Mr Saleh the hotel manager was very welcoming and made sure whatever we needed it was fulfilled making our first trip to Jerusalem a welcoming one. The Jerusalem tour was also planned by him with very reasonable price and very funny entertainment on the tour bus by Mr Saleh. Would definitely recommend Hashimi Hotel
