The Studio itself is extremely small, the bed is the only seating. There really is limited space to prep food if you did wish to self cater. The electric 2 plate hob had not been cleaned in some time. I was not about to tackle cleaning that! The kitchen utensils/pans were also sadly lacking in diversity. Again we had to clean them all as everything was greasy - wasn't happy at having to pay the extra $100 for cleaning - especially as we had to go out and buy cleaning products ourselves!! I would not have liked to rely on the facilities if self catering, our 4 berth motorhome is more spacious than this room. You needed to use the bed to act as work surface - not ideal. The bathroom is very shabby/tired and in need of upgrade - damp ceiling with broken tiles and stained toilet seat. I was able to stand at the sink and touch both walls either side. The added bonus of no privacy was also a little off putting, (glass sliding door separated you from living area)
The room had the air of a cell about it as there is only one small window (2' x 3') - You need the lights on all the time - natural light is lacking due to overgrown courtyard blocking sunlight. You are expected to wash your own sheets/towels as there was no 'maid service' - so annoying that you need to take a few hours out of the day to keep going backwards & forwards waiting for the washing machine & dryer to become free. We found an old broom in the garden so were able to have a bit of a sweep up ourselves.
Lastly - the price was extortionate for the facility/service provided - but this could be par for the course in Tel Aviv! Wouldn't recommend to anyone but overnighters looking for a basic bed/shower room.
The room, although small, is adequate as a place to sleep. There is a small courtyard to the rear of the property - a little overgrown/shabby at the time of writing, with a glass table and 4 mismatched chairs - a little shabby/basic but useful to sit outside and enjoy the (very) shaded courtyard. The location is excellent, short walk (5 mins), to the beach in one direction and an equally short walk to restaurants, shops. Excellent public transport links (bus) Buses can be taken all over Tel Aviv, Jaffa, a number of buses go to the Central Bus Station, journey from here to a number of places, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Bethlehem to name a few.
Excellent Wi-Fi in room and TV with some English Sat' Channels.
Laundry room in main block - need to use the dryer though as there is no facility to dry clothes yourself.
We needed a late check out - this was arranged FOC by Michael.
