House 57

Nir was fantastic - a former American who is local owns the building which is in a very nice residential neighborhood and just a 5 minute walk to the light rail that takes you into the heart of the old city in just 3 short stops. Nir, the owner, lives a short distance away in the suberb with his wife and 4 childres, and there is a buzzer at the door that connects directly to his cell phone. He can be in within 15-20 minutes when needed, and he has on site help at times during the day as well. Breakfast is done at 8 am on the patio and is a great way to meet other guests and enjoy the wonderful advice and worderful service oriented hospitality from Ni. We had room 6 which was wonderful - felt like I was a guest in someones very nice house!

This is a perfect place to stay if you have a car, but can be also nice if you are not - but you will need to get a cab or take the light rail from the train station to 3 blocks from House 57. Very safe and plentiful parking on the street but you must get explicit directions if driving before hand. Best to give Nir an approximate arrival time

House57, located a short walk from the light rail stop at Ammunition Hill, was the perfect place for our visit to Jerusalem. The room was very comfortable and included all amenities; we both agreed we had the best nights' sleep here! Our host was personal, friendly, and helpful and offered some excellent touring advice for the city. Whenever we find ourselves back in Jerusalem, this will be our home away from home.

Nir was an excellent host. He offered a ton of information and was also just great to talk to and learn more about Jerusalem and Israel. Room 7 is ideal for a family. We had a queen bed on the first level and the upstais loft could easily fit 4 kids. Loved all the windows and the balcony. Breakfast was cold but good and it was nice to meet the other guests. Easy to park if you have a car and also eacy accessibility to the city via the Light Rail system. Also very responsive when we asked for more towels, etc.

this place is not fancy, just a really comfortable place especially for a family. Not centrally located but on the other hand nice to get to know a real Jerusalem neighborhood.

It was in a small neighborhood. The room was clean.

We thought it would be at quiet place to relax for our last day in Israel, but when we arrived, they were jackhammering under our room. Unable to rest and relax, I had to ask the owner when the work would be done. He said, if I knew your plans were to relax, I would not have hired people to work. On my email to him, prior to our arrival, I told him we were not going to have breakfast, since we were catching an early flight. I also, told him we would be arriving around noon. Anytime you arrive at a hotel, you need to unpack and unwind. Finally, I told him we couldn't stay in the room with the noise and had to go into town. We were so tired, but we went into town and had lunch and tried to stay away (2hours).Finally after 30minutes he said the work would be done.I Was annoyed that he couldn't offer us a cold drink or something to eat, since it was a bed and breakfast and we were not going to be there for breakfast.

The owner was informative and gracious.

The room was nice and clean with a shared kitchenette. The breakfasts were very good. The owner and his wife were particularly helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed visiting with them.

Uns hat die Lage gut gefallen, es ist ruhig und keine 5 Minuten zur Straßenbahn und dann sind es vielleicht 10 Minuten bis zum Damaskus Tor. Nir, der Eigentümer, ist sehr nett und war sehr hilfsbereit bei der Planung unserer Reiseroute.

Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Besitzer, ruhige Lage, schöne Zimmer, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Gebucht und bestätigt waren 2 Doppelzimmer. Es war aber bei Ankunft aber nur 1 Zimmer reserviert, 1 Paar musste deshalb eine Notunterkunft in einem anderen Haus zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Nir, is een zeer behulpzame, uiterst vriendelijke eigenaar.Zal er alles aan doen om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Het ontbijt is uitstekend. Een opmerking: we hadden liever filterkoffie gehad ipv oploskoffie. Maar zeker een locatie om terug te komen bij een volgend bezoek aan Jeruzalem, ook vanwege de rustige ligging, (wij hadden de mooiste kamer gekregen op de bovenste etage met prachtig uitzicht). De (huur) auto lieten we voor de deur staan en namen de "light train"naar de binnenstad, heerlijk ontspannen.

Wij zouden liever filterkoffie gehad hebben in plaats van oploskoffie, maar verder alles perfect!

утопает в зелени, очень уютный небольшой семейный отель. радушный персонал, тихое место (окраина города, 3 км к северу от старого города). чистота на очень хорошем уровне (для израиля). ребенку понравились детские деревянные двухуровневые кровати. завтрак на зеленой террасе.

единственный минус - звукоизоляция. слышно соседние номера, но неудобсв мы не ощутили.

המקום נחמד ,אך יש לשפרו מבחינת עיצוב בפנים .

החדר בעליית הגג לא כל כל נח לשינת לילה באמת .-לרדת לשרותים במדרגות הללן -קשה החצר צריך לדאוג לכיסוי -הפלסטיק ...אולי להפכו למבנה זכוכית היה קר בבוקר והכל פתוח יקשה על ההנאה מארוחת הבוקר. במרפסת העליונה אולי לשים שולחן קטן ןכסא שיתאפשר לשבת שם .

Sehr ruhige Lage mit wunderbarem Blick auf die Stadt, sehr freundliche Besitzer, sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung in die Innenstad, tolles Zimmer

Le bon accueil du propriétaire ainsi que le partage au petit déjeuner avec les autres personnes y séjournant.

Les chambres et salle de bains étaient très vieillottes et pas forcément très soignées / propres.
