Room Breakfast Location Lobby
Free WiFi everywhere. Great breakfast. Good location. Relaxed atmosphere. Good pool and lounges. What all hotels should be like.
Interior design is impressive, hotel located within walking distance to the old city.
friendliness and competence of staff looking for the solution and not asking questions quality of food
not enough waiter hotel too full ( no spare anyware)
This hotel is shocking. The carpets are dirty and full of dust. The bath towels, soaps and shower gels not replenished. Fridge does not work. Staff are rude and don't speak English. Wifi signal not strong. Serving warm beer. Staff not responsive, taking too long to serve guests.
We know our way there for some years now
The New City outlook rooms as advertised can be with outlook on the courtyard only
The general ambience, the attentive staff, the nice looking and conveniently arranged rooms. The breakfasts were spectacular, among the very best we have experienced in Isreal over the past 20 years.
The Friday night dinner was unexpectedly poor compared with the breakfasts. The meat was tough, the cholent was soupy and the side dishes were only mediocre. The overhead shower was not what we were used to, coming from the US, but we learned to enjoy it by the time our stay was over.
Light, open , clean, efficient
The property needs a major facelift. We have been staying there since it opened and named "Larone Hotel" . Very few of the rooms have walk in showers and during this stay(6 days) the breakfast dining room was understaffed
Free internet is not usual in Israeli hotels as well as a free parking in the garage. Staff was really helpful.
All of it!
Location was very good. Safe and in a nice area. Tours can be arranged by the hotel at short notice as well as taxi to airport. Very nice staff ,many who spoke enough English. Try for a room from the 7th floor upwards overlooking old city. Nice rooms.
Eating in the hotel was ok but rather limited for evening meals. Special meal on each Friday as its shabbat. It was very nice. Restaurant back to normal Saturday evening.
Best location, wonderful facility
Messages arrived days late. Surprise gift from the States arrived late. Nothing vital, just a head shake considering how good everything else was.
Elegant yet casual and welcoming atmosphere. Most delicious and varied breakfast buffet. Ideal location.
Great location Nice amenities
We were in an non-renovated room and it was a bit plain Jane
I specifically booked this hotel because of its wonderful Israeli breakfast. I arrived for one night five days prior to Passover, and they had already removed all bread products from the breakfast and its restaurant menu. While I understand their need to prepare for the holiday in advance I think that they should make some effort to provide its generally outstanding breakfast as long as possible. Furthermore, if they are unable to do so, they should disclose the dates during which they will not be including a full breakfast in advance so that customers can choose to stay elsewhere.. This is a very expensive hotel, and I am sure they could find some way to be more accommodating.
Good location, not too far from old city. Wonderful breakfast choices. Free orange and grapefruit juice glasses at reception in the afternoon. Very friendly staff at reception and the SOFIA restaurant.
Rooms on the courtyard can get noisy in the evenings during the holidays when children are playing or affairs are conducted. Should be bars in bathtubs for older people to hold on to. Would be nice to have just stand-alone showers, not showers inside bathtubs.
Absolutely anything was excellent
Location for running. Wifi. Fitness room has been well upgraded
Hard to get coffee at breakfast. Generally really good four star hotel but just not the David citadel or king David. Of course the price us much better. 4.5 stars captures it
The staff with one exception were really wonderful The location made it possible for us to walk to many of the places we liked the nice relaxed atmosphere
we didnt like the way that one of the staff tried to almost double the price of the room when we tried to book for a return visit a week later. I cant remember her name but thankfully Noa took over and corrected everything and gave us the room at the same rate. Thankyou Noa.....it would have given us a really bad impression of Israeli hotels if that had happened.
Too little space for so much.
Each day as I returned from my sightseeing I felt at home and comfortable and very safe. The Sofia was a lovely restaurant with delicious food. Other guests were very friendly. My adult daughter and I had a wonderful stay.
The room was very comfortable. The service was good and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding.
We were upgraded to a 'suite' as we wanted a view of the old city and it was not a suite but we were charged $80 per night extra.
Service, friendliness, decor of room, excellent breakfast
Noise from hallway
