The Herods Dead Sea Hotel is a new luxurious spa hotel on a beautiful Dead Sea beach, across the Edom Mountains. Indoor and sulfur pools, Turkish bath and hot tub are featured in the spa area.
Score from 350 reviews Very good
No air cond in hallways, very hot Poor air cond in room, hot Staff not friendly Staff not helpful
Good atmosphere (as compared to some other Dead Sea hotels), good food and nice restaurant, hotel beach
Large room with a view of the Dead Sea, clean. Front desk people were very nice and helpfull. Live music at the restourant/bar in the evening. There were plenty of choices for breakfast and everything was delicious.
It was crowded at breakfast time.
Rooms were very nice. Dinners were good.
Staff is not very friendly except for Serenaa... She was great! No air conditioning in the hallways. Elevator is claustrophobic.
Being in front of dead sea Nice view especially at night.
I preffered location of Isrotel closer to private beach which was much nicer and cleaner.
Good place Nice pool Location Nice meals but EXPENSIVE to my mind Beware of HOT SUN :)
Great location, view, staff. The pool area is very nice, room is specious, breakfast is good.
No balcony, private beach is next to a wasteland.
Beautiful looking hotel.
Air con in room was noisy.
Exceptional quality of room facilities are of a very high standard and service quick and efficients
No free wifi unlike all other hotels visited. No menu for guests who do not want a full blown enormous and expensive buffet supper. An a la carte menu more than just bar snacks would be appreciated. Real orange juice for breakfast in the land of oranges!!
Everything was fine except the line to get a cup of coffee at breakfast
Very nice pool area and nice room. Very good breakfast
Room is spacious
Pool bar closes at 5 pm (or earlier if they think there are not enough customers) The private beach does not have a bar so you cant eat anything there and you cam only drink tap water Wifi available at a cost in 2014 in Israel is unacceptable
Good location. Nothing else for the price we paid.
Staff was rude. Rooms were outdated and dirty. Sheets and curtains had holes in them, the lamp had mold in the shade.
We were happy with everything
Location was great (though any of the hotels are really close together and great), comfortable room, spa services reasonable.
The locker room of the spa is a dump. We had checked out and planned to use it before leaving for Eilat (3 hour drive) and there were no amenities (shampoo, etc. which if we had known would have just taken from the room before checking out) and it was smelly. But most people wouldn't do that probably.
Facilities excellent, spa, pool Peaceful setting Food very good Clean surroundings Lovely airy room and great monsoon shower!
Stay was too short, only stayed one night!!
the buffets. cold water, offered sometimes, in the lobby.
Reservations were made by nephew in Israel. when checking in I requested that his card be cancelled, mine, should be used.Isrotel Ganim charged meals to his card instead of mine, which had been used already. Errors like this are reprehensible.
Location but difficult to find coming from south and not speaking Hebrew
It is fairly expensive
The Spa- excellent treatments! Breakfast was very good. Beautiful view of the Dead Sea from our room. The outdoor pool was great.
Staff (with the exception of the Spa) seemed up-tight and stuffy. Not very welcoming. Rooms on the small side.
Location and facilities in hotel ae of a good standard
welcome was awful, with security gaurd barking at you ad no one to help with luggage
The room was clean and we had a view of the Dead Sea
It was way too expensive for the amount it costs. And on top of that they want to charge an exorbitant amount to use the WiFi for a day. They had three small elevators for a huge hotel and these could not accommodate all the people, so I had to use the stairs to go down 6 flights. The staff seems uninterested in being helpful. The place is packed with large pushy tour groups. The room is minimalist and has very little to offer other than a clean place to sleep in. Breakfast does not start early enough and people line up for it and then there is an unorganized mob scene once they allow people in. While they are close to the Dead Sea to use their beach you have to take a shuttle to their other hotel and then use the private beach for that hotel. I would not stay here again
Unfriendly staff, quality of the food is not good at all, and the lobby smells horrible (they put perfume into the a/c) - also annoying sales people are in the lobby and around the hotel trying to sell jewelry..
the shower head from the ceiling. was seriously the best shower i ever took
It's a great hotel!! We had a wonderful time! The breakfast was delicious. Location is perfect. Nice swimmingpool.
Everything was perfect, except there was no free wifi
